After the initial bliss at cheering Silas up came to pass, something Silas said ate at Rosalie…

Rosalie: Wait a second, what did you call me?



Silas threw up his arms and smiled.

Silas: What can I say? I… you’ve grown on me… Like a puppy. And well, you’re not bad to look at…



Silas saw the look she was giving her and waved his comments off.

Silas: Err, I mean, I’ll admit there’s something irresistible about you… But you’re just a child. I… I just don’t see you THAT way…



Rosalie couldn’t stop herself from laughing.

Rosalie: (He’s just too adorable. Not to mention it’s fun watching him squirm.) Eh? You just don’t want to get beat up by Darius and Bishop you liar.



Silas rolled his eyes.

Silas: More like I don’t want to be responsible for killing your husband and hurting your lover.



Rosalie glared at him.

Rosalie: First off, Darius is NOT my lover! Secondly, you honestly think you can take on them both? Don’t forget that they’re both pure-blooded—



Silas: You may not have known, but your LOVER isn’t and hasn’t used a vast portion of his strength since leaving Harkon. He just like you is gimping himself, but his is intentional while yours isn’t.



Silas: If Darius comes at me the way he is now, I’ll kill him easily. No questions asked.



Rosalie stepped up to Silas and gazed into his eyes.

Rosalie: What makes you so confident, no, arrogant? You really think your blood is stronger than ours?



Silas: I’d have to kill Harkon to make that claim, and I don’t have any plans to do so any times soon.

???: Good, because if you did, I might have to attack you just on principle Silas.


 

The two vampires turned in the direction of this newcomer, and while Rosalie was taken off guard at the new arrival, Silas could only smile.

Silas: So it seems like she succeeded. Welcome Serana.



Serana walked towards them and looked about.

Serana: So this is Volstikar Manor… Seems like it’s been renovated recently…



Silas: *shrug* Wouldn’t surprise me. Tinira tends to mess with the interior whenever she pleases.

Serana: *sigh* That DOES sound like her…



Silas lead Serana to a chair and offered it to her.

Silas: Where have you been? It’s been centuries since anyone’s seen you.

Serana: I wanted to keep it that way, but you just HAD to send—



Unable to keep up with their conversation anymore, Rosalie got in between them and glared at Silas.

Rosalie: Who is she and why are you overly friendly with her?!



This time it was Serana who was unable to control your laughter.

Serana: This child, she smells familiar but I can’t get a true sense of it… Who does she belong to?



Silas looked at Rosalie and grinned.

Silas: Your uncle.

Serana: Oh? Uncle Darius? Did something happen to him? Are you taking care of her for him because of my father?



Silas: Yeah… something like that—

Suddenly Rosalie stepped to and glared at Serana.

Rosalie: I can deal with his jokes, because he loves to mess with me, but who in Oblivion do you think you are?



Silas and Serana shared a look and then the female vampire sighed.

Serana: Well if you must know, I am Serana of Clan Volkihar, daughter to Lord Harkon and Valerica, niece of Darius, and…



Serana looked between Rosalie and Silas and grinned. She then reached into her outfit, pulled something out, and put it on her finger. 

Serana: …And fiancée to Lord Silas of Clan Volstikar.


 

Silas: ‘Lord Silas?’ You’re being awfully formal with me at the moment, ‘Rana…

Serana: Sorry, but she didn’t seem to know what was going on, so I just—



Rosalie: I STILL don’t know what’s going on!! You were just bawling your eyes out a moment ago, and now you’re all buddy buddy with Darius’s niece? And she’s your FIANCEE?!? You unfaithful—



Serana glared at Rosalie, and the younger vampire could feel the air around her grow cold…

Serana: Listen girl, I was trying to be nice to you out of respect for my uncle and Silas…



Serana stood to her feet.

Serana: But if you fall out of line again, and use that tone with either him or me… I can’t promise that you’ll see dusk.



Silas’s boasting from earlier had nothing on the pressure Rosalie felt coming from Serana’s threat. She wanted to say something, anything, but her instincts were keep her in check… keeping her alive.



Silas frowned at the Volkihar.

Silas: Don’t be so firm with her Serana. I’ve come to like her a bit, and if you scare her off now…



Serana: You… like THAT? She’s not even truly pure-blooded. She’s a weakling with power beyond her station. She’s—



Silas: A good friend of mine. So if you keep talking about her like that in my presence, in MY home, I may have to remind you of who and what I really am!



Bats began to swirl around the Volstikar and Serana immediately began to shake her head.

Serana: T-that’s okay. I’ll leave that bit of fun for your sire and my father…



Serana: Father… You’ll pay for killing Uncle…

Serana looked from Silas, who was on the verge of laughter, and Rosalie who looked utterly confused.

Serana: What is it? Did I say something funny?


 

Rosalie: Umm… Serana? Darius isn’t dead. And Silas isn’t taking care of me. He’s training me, nothing more, nothing less.



Serana’s eyes widened and when she looked at Silas’s grinning face, the Volkihar couldn’t hide her embarrassment.

Serana: W-what!? B-b-but… I mean… Then how are you—



Silas tapped Serana on the head and smiled.

Silas: There’ll be enough time for all of that later. Tell me FIANCEE, where is Liri?

Serana: She said she had to clear her head. She should be back soon—



Rosalie: Liri? Silas has talked about her, but not to any major extent. What kind of person is she?

Rosalie looked at Silas and grinned.

Serana: Well…



Serana: Liri hates our kind. She’s unsympathetic, stubborn and single minded… But she is also strong, kind, smart and not bad to look at… Oh, and she’s a nudist so there’s that.



Rosalie: Oh, she sounds. . . WHAT!?

Rosalie looked at Silas, who simply shrugged.

Rosalie: ‘Nice to look at?’ Is that how you’re imagining me? You old dirty pervert!!!



Silas flashed a sinister grin at Rosalie that made her cover herself. He then took the moment to imagine her naked, and smiled again.

Silas: Wouldn’t you want to see a man that you liked naked?



???: And there he goes with the misdirection and lies… Classic Silas… Just make sure not to get Serana wrapped up in your bs.



The venom in her voice was enough that Silas didn’t need to face her.

Silas: Liri… Glad to see you’re doing well. I’m also surprised that you finished so fast. Thought I’d have some months before—



Liri conjured a silver tanto and the female vampires tensed up.

Rosalie: Make one wrong move mortal, and it’ll be your last!

Serana: Calm down Liri! Let’s talk about this…


 

Liri ignored the two of them and only glared at Silas’s back.

Liri: Turn and face me you coward! Or do you want me to play by your rules and strike from behind?



Silas sighed and shook his head, but did not turn.

Silas: Heh, do as you wish.



There was something strange about his calmness that almost made Liri second guess herself.

Liri: I-I mean it damn you! I’ll end your life and that grand scheme of yours where you stand!!



Serana stepped toward Liri her arms spread as if trying to say she wasn’t a threat.

Serana: Please Liri. Don’t do this… Tinira has to die. She is everything that is wrong with vampires incarnate...



Serana’s honesty was written on her face, and for a moment Liri’s determination faltered.

Liri: Serana… I… I know how terrible Tinira is… But Silas…



Rosalie: Enough of this nonsense!

Before Serana or Liri knew what was happening, Rosalie leapt at Liri bent on pinning the Nord to the ground and stopping all of this from continuing...



…Just as she’d planned, the pink haired vampire was able to tackle the nudist with relative ease…



However, Liri was still able to fling the dagger at Silas before the vampire crashed into her and they both slammed into the floor.



Silas: Haaaa… So you were serious about this…  About… Killing me… Hahahaahaa…. AHAHHAHAHAAAHAHHAAAAAAA!!!



The three ladies turned toward Silas, and when Liri saw the look on his face she immediately went pale.


 

Silas was completely fine, that fact alone would have put her on edge. However the fact that he had easily caught the blade and was looking at her with a predatory look in his eyes gave her goosebumps…



Silas: Heheheeeh… Sorry, bad force of habit.

He threw the sword back towards Liri and it almost grazed her cheek.

Silas: Come at me again. *grin* I won’t defend myself this time.



Although he said that, it was clear that he was furious as evidenced by the aura and swirling of bats around him. Liri was going to say something about it, but Serana beat her to it.



Serana: Silas, I know you’re angry at her.

She shot a mean look at Liri then turned back to Silas.

Serana: And rightfully so, but remember why you’ve done all of this! You NEED her!!!



Silas took a second look at Liri and was startled by her frightened face.

Silas: Wait… Why is she looking at me like that?



Rosalie: Be… because you look like you’re going to kill her and anyone else that you see… And as much as she deserves it, you’re scaring ME…



Silas finally realized what he was doing and grinned at Liri.

Silas: You’ve unjustly called me a liar this entire time, but doesn’t that fit you instead?



Liri: W-what are you talking about!? I tried to kill you! You just have heightened senses… I forgot that…



Silas shook his head.

Silas: You’re pathetic Liri. You think lying to yourself, telling yourself that you’re doing all of this for your sister is going to change the fact that you abandoned her?



Suddenly Liri blasted Silas with wave after wave of sparks before either of the female vampires could react.

Liri: YOU LOOKED INTO MY HEAD!?! I KNEW YOU COULDN’T BE TRUSTED YOU FUCKING—


 

Silas: ENOUGH!!!

Silas’s roar shook Liri to the core… so much so that she unconsciously stopped pelting him with her spells.

Silas: First off I didn’t look into your head.



Silas: And secondly come with me!

Silas grabbed Liri by the wrist and began to walk off…



He then stopped and looked back at Serana and Rosalie.

Silas: Do NOT follow us!

Liri was so in shock by his actions that she simply kept her mouth shut and let herself bee drug around by Silas…



He didn’t wait for them to comply before walking off with Liri again…



When they finally stopped, Liri found herself in a room that she never knew the manor had.

Liri: (This must be where they’ve been sleeping this whole time… but did they remodel the place since I—)



Suddenly Liri was pinned against a wall and could feel Silas’s breath on her skin. It was a bit entrancing but also woke her up to the reality of her situation.

Liri: You promised me Silas...



Silas: And I never broke it. The… BOND between you and Serana is so obvious why WOULDN’T I look? I didn’t look into your head though, I swear on my wife.



Liri raised an eyebrow at him.

Liri: Your… Wife?

Silas nodded and Liri remembered what happened between them in the past.



Feeling her anger boil over, Liri pushed Silas off of her, but the vampire didn’t budge much.

Liri: You unfaithful piece of trash! You expect me to believe anything you say NOW!? After what you did?



Silas: Liri…

Silas reached out for her and she swatted his hand away.

Liri: Don’t ‘Liri’ me! I’m sick of your shit Silas! I’m through. Screw these vampires, your clan, your plan… screw you Silas!!


 

When Liri began to walk off, part of her felt hurt that Silas didn’t try to stop her.

Liri: (I guess for all that he said, he didn’t truly need me after all… Any mage would do…)



Silas sighed and turned toward Liri.

Silas: You want to know the truth?

Liri: Are you even capable of it?

Silas: My wife, Lisaly, she died centuries ago by my hand…



Liri stopped dead in her tracks, and turned to Silas.

Liri: Did… Did you say what I think you said?

Silas: You don’t understand, I wasn’t myself! I was—



Liri: You’re a monster! A fucking monster! I hope your soul rots in Oblivion for all the shit you’ve done!!



Liri turned to leave and then bumped into the male vampire who didn’t have any kindness in his eyes.

Silas: You want to damn me? Curse me? Go ahead! I couldn’t care less about your pathetic words.



Silas: But don’t you DARE accuse me of PURPOSEFULLY killing Lisaly!! I’d sooner slit my own throat with silver than even entertain that thought!!



Liri looked into his eyes and felt confused…

Liri: (He’s mad, but…. It’s not like before. He’s… upset. Is he telling the truth? But he can’t be… he’s a—)



Silas: *sigh* Why do I even bother with you? I apologized for putting you through this, I’ve never lied to you, I… Screw it, do as you will.

Silas turned from Liri and waited for her to walk away…



However, Liri didn’t move from her spot as her thoughts turned to Serana.

Liri: (If… If she believes in him, then… I guess… Even if he is a vampire...)



Silas: So you’re just going to mock me in silence now? At least have the dignity to— 

Liri wrapped her arms around Silas and he fell silent.

Liri: Alright you big dope. TELL. ME. EVERYTHING.
