Nora wanted to check out Nordhagen beach, to see if she could get a settlement going there and start on getting some salt extraction. Salt was a vital resource in itself, used in cooking, and necessary for a well-functioning system. There was a whole ocean of saltwater sitting less than a mile away, but she needed a settlement so she could build the extractors. With the red workbenches and the QESS systems she could build anything. Without them she was extremely limited in what she could do.

An eye bot cruised through the air, shouting a spiel about jobs waiting at Cambridge Polymer Labs. Nora recalled that lab from before the war. Press releases had shouted its wonders, especially the new self-charging pieces for power armor.
