I'm almost finished with what's going to be in the initial release.

 

I decided I'm going to do another little suprise in the next update as well, but that shouldn't take long.

Update40: This whole keeping track of the things I do actually pays off later :D

 

Fixed Goodbye dialogue on spore seedling.

Fixed doors in Riverside

Fixed a terrible navmesh bug in Riverside

Added a Halloween surprise for everyone

Added a minisode to the California Sunset Drive-In

 

So I don't want to spoil either of the surprises her, just get in there and get playing. The new minisode begins at the California Sunset Drive-In just south of Primm. The Halloween surprise should find you :angel:

 

MAKE SURE YOU GET THE NEW DATA PACK

 

And be sure to let me know how all that works out for you. I'll check here again after I'm back.

anyone get through the new episode? It seemed really stable to me but you guys always break it so I'm not going to pretend that it is :P

 

Most of what I have planned for that episode is in. It's not meant to be super extravagant like the deathclaws.

Hello,

 

Tried the new surprise at California Sunset Drive-In.

 

 

Everything looks fine so far. I followed the Coyote to the cave and talked to him. But I can't solve the next step. Thought he might want meat but neither raw nor cooked meat was working so I am at a loss at the moment.

I ran into a little issue with pathfinding for all the dogs and pups in the cave. Had the alpha, the den mother and 1 pup all bunched up and not being able to move just walking into each other. Had to push them manually. Maybe have the mother sit somewhere and the pups playing in a small area could be better?

Just go back down to the drive-in. You should be able to figure it out from there :P

 

The pups follow their mother for most of the day so maybe that's what you were seeing? They'er suppose to be bunching up around her pretty good.

 

 

 

 

What i still need to do for the episode

 

The alpha needs sex options. mature coyotes will also have sex options. Den mother needs to be able to accept pups. I want to injure the player a little bit and have the coyotes nurse her back to health if she decides to follow the alpha home. and I'm going to plan a few hunts you can go on with a pack of 3 or 4 coyotes around the area. that one's going to be a lot of fun.

 

 

 

If you have any more simple ideas you think would work well just tell me. And this won't be spoiler worthy forever, but I think a lot of people might just want to watch it play out on their own at first.

Found the solution to the next step. And that was a really big pile of meat indeed.

 

I like the hunt idea, great way to integrate the PC into the pack. I got few quick ideas that might be fitting.

1) Since there is lactation system, pups approaching the PC to nurse, the same way johns approach the PC for prostitution.

2) Natural enemies of the pack - hunters or larger predators. Could be some invasion in the den.

3) If the player is in heat, the alpha goes nuts and rapes the PC repeatedly until she is pregnant. My idea here is that the Alpha should assert his dominance over the "bitch". This could be a dialogue with 2 options once the Alpha approaches the PC. One consensual (the PC submits)and one non-consensual. Of course this is just purely RP flavor.

 

P.S. When the coyote saves you, what is the animal he kills? The model doesn't look familiar to me at all.

The first time I tested the giant gecko I didn't adjust it's speed, so the thing freaking flew at me and scared me so bad lol. It's still fast, but it's only at .5 speed instead of 1.

 

1) It'll be strictly text, but consider that in.

2) Trickier. Some of the occupants of the cave could die, and that's not ideal. I could disable all of the ones I want to "save" until after the invasion and put in a force of expendable coyotes but this one could be a lot of work.

3) There isn't a "heat" effect for the player, but I could make this a random event like the pups that occurs when the player isn't pregnant.

 

That was a nighstalker. I believe it's a cross between a coyote and a rattlesnake. That scene really worked because DoctaSax taught me how to keep the player knocked down so credit to him for that.

Will there be a future minisode where you get to track down the 3 rapists by chance as well as the female that was with them. And make them pay for what they did to the player. Maybe even involve the dogs for the female.

Their sole purpose was to leave the player in a vulnerable state, but now that you bring it up they do seem like they'd be a good end target for one of the hunts...

 

Could have a choice with nicky as well, kill, bring her back to the cave, or let her go.

I was thinking that exactly. :D another option would be to use them when the player escapes from the spore carrier episode. (by haveing the pc infect them as payback for her rape)But i would rather have them added to the hunt myself.

The Minisode worked pretty well for me. Took me a moment to figure out what was needed to earn the alpha's trust but not too hard. I did notice that there was a bit of pathing issue when following the alpha. had to literally push him up a cliff out of the drive in. I thought the umm extra drop from giving birth was funny. Don't knwo if that is supposed to be the second surprise but seems likely to me.

 

 

One a side note. Really like the courier name for the spore-carrier episode. For obvious reasons.

I have no idea WHAT is going wrong, but upon choosing topic with alpha deathclaw after getting mutation to 'increase his harem' it goes to load screen and promptly crashes. Am pretty damn sure I have everything needed as it works for most part save glitching of armor pregnancy and lucy never teases the right damn deathclaw guard. Please Advise. I am a HUGE deathclaw fan and really want to help em repopulate the wasteland :P

I've had it crash after loading the hillside as well. I've never had it happen more than once in a row though. I think if you were to go to riverside and load it up, and then go back to the cave, it might not crash on you.

Good, you weren't suppose to get it right away, but I thought I made it pretty obvious if you explored the surrounding area. I also noticed the pathing issue, but short of changing the navmesh around there I can't really fix it. You don't actually have to push him up the hill (though you can) he'll still get up it by himself it just takes him a second.

 

I thought you might like the courier :P

Negative I so much as get even CLOSE to Riverside and I immediately CTD. No warning no nothing, just CTD. From a distance the LOD looks like cotton wood cove though @.@ closest I got was nearest ranger station. cliff side shack was within CTD distance appearantly.

 

EDIT: NVM that WAS cotton Wood cove, tried going due east from ranger station and instant CTD, anytime I get remotely close to the place from any angle it CTD's. That tells me what EVER it is the crashing is due to Riverwood. Problem is is WHAT is causing it to crash. v.v

Probably a load order issue. Post it.

I don't know. You shouldn't use NMM for New Vegas, it doesn't always install fomods correctly. That alone could be the source of your crashes.

 

I know if breeder is installed correctly it won't crash, I just loaded it up to double check I didn't biff something.

So fire up FoMM and try installing the fomod versions of the main requirements to see if that fixes it?

 

EDIT: NVM FoMM Crashes if I so much as try to get it to load the damn fomods >.< stupid piece of $%#^
