Phillip the Talking Horse

 

 

 

 

 

Description:

The sequel to Tirk in a series of talking creature followers. Is incomplete but functional, and by that I just mean it is missing one or two features I want to add in the future.

 

You can find Phillip in Katlia's farm just outside of Solitude.

Requirements:
-Sexlab
-CreatureFramework (Latest standalone version)
-More Nasty Critters V10+ (Recommend SLAL version)

-Horny Creatures of Skyrim
-Sexlab Animation Loader
-Billy's Slal Pack
-Fuz Ro D-oh

-might require funnybusiness animations. Can't remember

-Sailing Rebel slal anim pack

Installation:
Simply unzip the archive and drop the files in your skyrim folder.

 

 

Compatibility:
Uncertain. I wanted to finally get this mod out, but I haven't had time to do a lot of testing, or get screenshots.

Is the "Horny Creatures of Skyrim" a hard requirement?. The dialog does not show up for me, I tried saving and reloading like someone posted above, with no results. Do I really need "HCS" to make the dialog work?.

Can only say HCS is not a hard requirement - I did not have it installed.  I think it would only be "required" for a male character anyway as I never saw any dialogue options that would have lead to HCS animations as a female PC.

You have to talk to Dodd first to purchase Phillip. If you can't get their dialogue to appear, you could try saving and reloading or unpacking the files to place them loosely.

Talk to Dodd first. He'll be standing nearby.

The original article about them was much better, but it was taken down unfortunately. Apparently the Hittites considered horses to be a higher status than peasants, maybe even noble (I forget exactly), and they would have sexual relationships with their horses.

It could be that his Addrace quest broke again, in which case FML, or you are missing required animations packs. Or you have creature animations disabled, or you haven't ran FNIS.

HCS is required for certain dialogue to initiate sex. I think that might only be for male PC. As for dialogue, have you tried talking to Dodd?

Actually, being naked only affects his idle dialogue. You do have to go through the stripping dialogue once though to unlock more dialogue.

usage report (possible bug)

 

first i unpacked it to loose files (have yet to have this break a mod, but it is possible)

 

having read this thread i did a save/load of the new save

 

Dodd dialogue worked fine, actually all dialogue (except noted below) worked fine.

 

he works fine overall, one problem (listing this one as PEBCAK) was he is to big for most interior spaces (duh   he is a Horse after all).  solution of that PEBCAK is 

to just put him in wait mode.

 

found several additional dialogues as i worked with him for a while, all but one worked correctly.

 

possible bug report - got a dialogue that was supposed to let me ride him (just like you would ride a regular horse).  was unable to ride him after that

dialogue, and that particular dialogue only showed up that single time.  unknown if that feature is broken on my end, unfinished, or it is a bug that i cannot

ride him as i would a regular horse.

 

question - has anyone been able to ride Philip as you would a regular horse (in a non sexual way) ?? (so i can figure out if it is just broken on my end)

 

overall a nice start for this follower mod and most everything works correctly

A bug I found is that even with  all the proper downloads for this mod and supports Phillp won't spawn unless you play as one of the Vanilla Races (Nord, Imperial, Ect.) Idk if its just me but he only only shows then.

If that is in fact a bug, I wouldn't have a clue why or how to fix it.

No, you can't ride him yet. That is among my future plans, so no worries, it isn't broken, at least that isn't anyway. Glad you enjoy him otherwise! I spent a lot of time researching medieval lingo to create his dialogue.

well at least now i know

 

that feature is not broken on my end, it is just not implemented yet :smile:

 

the lingo is great, it really does make Philip much more interesting and individual.

Allright looks good and all seems to work as intended.

Only problem i had was that im using eff and it makes followers get really close to player, horse-model is so big that phillip just kept pushing me around when i stood still. Google and little tes5 edit fixed that problem though :smile:

Hi Subject2Host,

 

I had the initial problem with the dialog as well, but a save/load solved it. I didn't play much yet, but I definitely would like to see a voiced version. I guess it would be hard to find someone who could propelrly pronounce the old style AND have a good voice AND would be willing to record xxx lines... but hey, we can dream. :smile:

 

Btw, I don't have funnybusiness anim pack installed, it didn't warn me in MO as requirement, but as I said I didn't play much yet.

the mod, at certain points, will choose certain animations (i saw from Billy, and Sailing Rebel SLAL Packs) but also i could choose a generic animation at that time.

from what i have seen the mod will try to use (or ask you to use) a specific animation if it is installed, but if you do not have that one a generic one will work.

from seeing that i would guess (ya i know that is a dangerous thing to do) that the specific SLAL packs are a soft requirement (ie better with them but will

work without them).

Okay first things first, thank you so much for tirk.

Now about Philip, I just got the mod and I noticed one of the replies said he doesn't work with custom races, well if that is actually the case I'd say temptress I'd safe since that's the one I'm using and he seems to be working fine. That aside you might want to add to the description that you need to save and load the game once for the dialog with Dodd to appear. 

Well I'm gonna go try out the mod further now, again thanks a lot for your mods, really looking forward to these
