Papyrus Logs

OKAY SO. I've been trying to get this issue fixed for the past week. I need more than 1 brain helping with this. I'm posting a single log after I've started the game and loaded all the mods. This log is from sitting still in one position for a few mins.

The issue that I have is my FPS just goes down. I load in, start at 50, sit in 1 spot and look at a tree and my fps slowly goes down to 20.

Also can anyone name some mods that are script heavy that I can remove my load order?

The USLEEP lines are normal and everyone gets them. They are just checking for older obsolete versions. You have alot of mods, many of which you can probably do without.

HDT Hair can cause alot of strain on the game, HDT Skirts also.  You don't have a Bashed Patch. You have both AFT and EFF installed. If you are not using Crash Fixes and ENBoost, you really should. You are probably best off wiping your install and starting fresh. Just add a few mods at a time.

I've done that soo many times... I'm just not convinced that I've tried hard enough yet. I think there are some mods I'm missing that I don't need that are causing strain on the scripts that is causing my game to slow down. I have no idea why my game would act in the way it is otherwise...

I do have a lot of mods but I feel like most of them aren't script stuff. Like I have a shit load of armor and clothing mods. Followers and textures..

Also: I don't have AFT installed. I uninstalled that and got EFT instead. I check the mod again and I'm 100% sure it's deactivated and uninstalled. The .esm might still be showing in the plugin list for some reason. Things like CoT (climate of tamirel) are in my load order but are not active mods.

I'm gonna lookup Crash Fixes and ENBoost right now. By the way, crashes are not a problem I'm dealing with. I can play hours without a crash. Those hours will be really shit though at 15 fps.

You can try cleaning your save if you havnt already. A good cleaner is called Fallrim Tools. It requires Java to be installed.  Install Crash Fixes manually. Make sure  to enable "UseOSAllocators" in CrashFixPlugin.ini .  You can get  ENBoost and then install it using these Instructions from Step. You wont need the SKSE Memory fix or SSME or SafetyLoad anymore if you use ENBoost in Combination with Crash Fixes. Make sure to get the v0.319 ENBoost from down near the end of the link.

Sometimes badly made followers can cause sudden and massive FPS drops. A long time ago there was a mod called The Kids are Alright at Nexus. The kids had bad custom skeletons. The issue may or may not have been fixed since then for that mod, but if a follower has an old/bad skeleton, slowdown will happen.

OKAY PROGRESS!

I just uninstalled a bunch of mods I wasn't using that were either deactivated or just random shit I don't care about. Started a new game and now I've got my fps still dropping from 50 of what it was to now 30 instead of 20.

Alright, great! I was looking for an install guide for ENBoost... Now I'm gonna uninstall some follower mods I don't care about.

You can look at the comments sections for them and see if people complain about the bad skeleton. Most Followers have a good skeleton. Its usually really old ones found on lesser known sites that can be problematic.

A good way to find out if a follower is causing any massive FPS drops, is to send them home or wherever and then enter the same cell they are in.

I have one follower mod that I really can't use because it causes my game to slow down quite a bit. Also the more npcs and custom modded outfits I have in one cell, the more my game struggles on my crappy pc. ENBoost does help some.

I don't even have a follower!! I don't have anything!! I'm going outside after starting the fresh new game with nothing! Still the fps drops.

What do you think about ENBoost? Should I really go to the trouble to install it when my primary FPS issue is with scripts? I thought it only helped with memory.

ENBoost can help with stabilizing FPS. It should help reduce stuttering and help your FPS rate stay around the same rate. It can only do so much though. You should install it.

watch this video this helps a lot https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=37xAMUQc1oY

He has help many including myself he has a play list that covers anything you need to know how to have a great playable skyrim

The video is from 2014 and covers using SSME and Memory Blocks Log. They should not be used in combination with a more modern and more recommended combination of Crash Fixes+ENBoost. SSME and Memory Blocks Log did a good enough job back in 2014. They are not ideal for today.

Hmm you missed the point even the best fixes start at the beginning of the game Oldrim has limits. I use this system and my frame rate is stable with 254 plug ins and with textures and HDT mods installed. My game is heavily modded and scripted and I crash at minimum two hours of play time and most of the time never. Understanding the game helps.. this is what this video does... does not matter what comes out the base game and engine is still the same... understand that and you can have a playble Skyrim.

Couldve mentioned you had that installed earlier. You should have most of ENBoost settings already applied then. You would have to check that on your own. ENB can cause a huge drain on your game. A quick look showes me that RealVision has  a performance mode option. You can try that or removing Real Vision altogether. ENBoost is  really just memory/fps fixes. ENB has those plus graphics. I personally use ENBoost without any ENB graphics.  The game can look  pretty good using HD textures and weather overhauls etc without ENB graphics.
