Help with my load order? Getting heavy CTD.

Hello! I've been having extremely bad crashes to desktop moments. Simply loading my save and walking a few feet is enough to instantly crash. (Things like opening the items tab and map also do this, sometimes even trying to wait.) I assume it has something to do with an error in my load order? I've used LOOT plenty, and looked up as many tutorials as I could, though I'm still having this issue.

I'm worried I'm missing something obvious here, could someone take a look at my plugin order and let me know what I should change? Also, this is a fairly new save, if something requires a new character, I would be willing to take that option!

(Note, I use Nexus Mod Manager)

Goes from 1 to 3 in terms of order. Top picture the highest load priority, so on and so forth.

Apologies for my ignorance on modding and formatting! I'd be thankful for any assistance at all!

Do you have a papyrus log???  I suspect mod incompatibilities, a Papy log would help weed out the screamers.

I'm so sorry. Could you explain how I would go about giving you one of those? I've done skyrim modding before, but I've only had troubles like this recently, thus have almost no clue where to go with this, even after hours of searching constantly. If the process is a long one/cumbersome to explain, could I be directed to a video or post explaining how to acquire the logs?

Seems I spoke far too soon. It was a fairly easy and quick thing to work out, I believe this is what you were looking for?

It Might be a memory issue.

Try installing these mods if you haven't already

 - Memory Blocks Log

https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/50471

 - Safety Load

https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/46465

I already had SafetyLoad installed (Via nexus mod manager, hopefully that was the right way of installing.) I just installed memory blocks log as instructed by the mod page, yet it still has instant crash issues, nothing seems to have changed, sadly. Thank you so much for the suggestion though!

As far as I know, NMM does not sort your load order. If you aren't doing so, use LOOT.

I also recommend Crash Fixes Plugin. While Safety Load does a very good job, Crash Fixes Plugin works better for me.

I do use LOOT, yes. NMM also uses loot's api for it's own plugin sorter (Albeit, limited.) Regardless sadly crash fixes plugin just causes me to CTD whenever I load, period. So sadly it doesn't work for me.

Edit:Spelling.

No problem.

I know you said that it was a reasonably new save, but does the game work with a fresh character? Try making a new one, finishing the tutorial(or getting out of the alternate start dungeon), save, relaunch skyrim, then load the save.

-If it works, then great.

-If it crashes when you start a new game then try uninstalling your newest mods one or two at a time until you find the one that's causing the issue. If you installed all of your mods at once, try uninstalling all the more complicated ones (e.g. script mods).

Mods that just add stuff to the game like weapons and armour, or change meshes or textures like body mods, tend to be fine. Get rid of the other ones.

-If it only crashes when you load then you might have the same problem I have.

When I try to load a save right after launching the game I CTD, but if I load a save in a small cell (like in the alternate start dungeon on a new character) and then load a proper save it works fine.

So if that's the case make a new character, then make a save in the Alternate Start starting dungeon. Then everytime you open the game, load THAT save first, then from there load the save you want.

It's a pain in the ass but it works for me

Also try reorganising the load order. iirc mods at the top of the list are loaded before the ones below them, so mods like SkyUI, FNIS and other important mods (like ones that other mods need to function) should be up the top.

Indeed. I made a new character last night, and it seems to be working fine. Rarely crashing, but those crashes may actually be fixed by that idea you had about saving in the dungeon, then loading in the normal save. Brilliant idea! Thanks for all your help, truly! I suspect the mess of my load order from before was ruining that previous save.

You should also check your dependencies/requirements.  Your load order is really hard to read so I could be mistaken...  But I believe you are missing DFWSupport required by DFW? and Tara Furniture now required by the more recent Zaz anim pack versions.  The last entry that Papyrus recorded before or game crash was DFW related.  While that does not mean it was the cause of the CTD, it's usually a good place to start.
