If you mean you want to create a plugin that adds that, just changing the look to DD might work if you replace the mesh of the SCB_Collar,Mask,Wrist/AnkleRestraints AA(Armor Addon) (+silver/rust/gold variants) forms by that of your chosen DD replacement. (overriding the items in SkyrimChainBeasts.esm). If you want them to actually be/behave like DD devices, that would require many changes (DD has its own way of managing devices, which is quite different from the SCB mechanisms). Once arriving the original beast will return. However, if that happens every time something has broken (I've encountered that in the past on experimental profiles, but usually combined with other problems like NPCs not activating things at all/not properly running their packages, etc. I usually ended throwing out those profiles and starting fresh so I'm not sure what the cause could be/whether there is a way of fixing it.)

I have noticed in 0.57 LE that non-target NPC's will have their health healed to 100% after they come out of the chainbeast hit/bite scene ( I have the cowering effect turned off). I have also noticed the gear chests for NPC's following them around with each new hit by a chainbeast. The original box fades and a new on appears. Not sure if it happens to the players and/or followers chests or not. This event may only occur with player summoned chainbeasts. Also, are the gear chests supposed to start out as chain mudcrabs? It caries the box on its back, so that will be at the last place the player/NPC was stripped (rather than the first in previous versions). (The player may have multiple boxes if captured after freeing themselves but before gathering their gear.) I remember adding a minor healing effect somewhere - I think with the spiders to reduce the risk their pull effect kills NPCs. Also they should get a good dose of stamina, just like the player, but fully healed on take down? I'll have to do some testing though not sure I can easily reproduce the conditions. Is a large amount of health added (the beasts don't cause much health damage to being with). The chain dragon is an incomplete (so far mostly failed) experiment. Can't say I've noticed that happening but I'll do some testing. I've done some testing; while there are some small healing effects, nothing that drastic in the mod itself; however, the mod does take the NPC out of combat. At that point the NPC may start recovering health - rather quickly. Eg a nord would recover 7% of their health per second. Meaning that 20 to full would take just over 10 seconds. I've tried to prevent this healing while the `fear' effect is active, but in my testing it seems that health gen damage effects are completely ignored by NPCs, at least out side of combat... thelordofroses Posted May 22, 2022 Posted May 22, 2022 So i have the latest version for SE and confirmed that the file sizes and Dates match properly and that there is no V4 involved anywhere however be it a loaded game or a brand new clean game the MCM menu for the chainbeasts is empty. logo shows up fine but all menus contain nothing. any idea how to solve that i haven't already checked / tried from previous posts?

Make sure you're also not using an old plugin like the old sluts one, that might override settings and cause an issue like this... One easy test that you can do is to remove the skyrimchainbeasts_english.txt (or what ever language your using) from data\interface\translations Do the menu names change to $SCB_Gameplay $SCB_Skip etc. ? - If so the properties on the quest are setup correctly and we have to check the script SCB_MCM.pex ; is there perhaps an old version of this floating around in the MO2 override folder or some such. - If not the properties on the quest are not setup correctly; we have to make sure we are using the correct skyrimchainbeast.esm and nothing is overriding it. If the later ; try disabling all SCB plugins, only having the esm activated and see if the menu contents now show up (on a new game). if so; add plugins again one at a time to find the culprit.

Did you install v057 first and then v058 over top (merge if using MO2) as 058 is just an update not the full mod. If so I'll need more info; version (SE/LE), which plugins active, no MCM = none at all or just empty submenus, did you test on new game or existing save, anything else you can think of that might be related ... ?

Most settings are default, only changed the with lock-pick lvl increasing difficult. From the plugins, I only used DB (dragonborn) and BAD (beasts are dwemer). Logging is active (is active by default?), but there is no /logs folder in my skyrim folder, only the save's , SKSE (where is also no log for SCB) and JCUser.

You have not enabled logging if the logs/ folder isn't there. You should have these lines in your skyrim.ini file: [Papyrus] bEnableLogging=1 bEnableTrace=1 bLoadDebugInformation = 1 skyrim.ini is in the same folder your logs and saves should appear in. If you have mod organizer, you must edit the one in the profiles/[your_profile_name] subfolder as it will override the one in the My Games/ folder.

May try to change some things to see if that solves it, but stabbing in the blind. Need more info to figure out what's going on. As DayTri mentioned you need to set a few ini settings for logging to be active.
