Is there any way to give the skin/face a little more glossy effect? i've tried using Nifskope on the head the FFrace is using, ive tried putting it into photoshop to add a gloss effect and then save it and use that.dds...but yet nothing I do shows up in game...so not sure what it is im doing wrong.

It's the alpha channel of the _n.dds that you have to lighten.

That and/or maxing the first 3 colors caracteristics of the head mesh in nifskope+adding more glossiness.

Hmm, ive taken footfemale.dds from the folder FF13skin>JihlNabaat which TES showed me the model was referencing, tweaked the alpha opacity around all over from 10% up to 90% and in between and it never showed a difference in game to me.

@thelordymir> the _n.dds :P

So you have to change the footfemale_n.dds to make it work ^^

>_< Thanks Sio...was sitting there for so long wondering what I was doing wrong haha. I'll give it a try tomorrow when I wake up and am rested.

Edit. Tried it out by doing the adjustment>brightness and tweaking it, worked like a charm. Thanks a ton everyone who responded, you guys are a life saver lol

you'll gonna need Oblivion face exchange lite from here:

Thanks, now i know i'm not the only one with that texture.

The screens at page 1 are different than mine.

The're is a way to add gloss (with photoshop) but that's gonna ruin your face.

Sory, I've been busy with personal matters

Big long reply post :dodgy:

@Quemon

Textures are the very same as the ones in the pack, I uninstalled the mod and the races and reinstalled, they're the same as the ones in screenshots. I add no gloss to any of the characters I use and never had.

To add gloss to the race you can check http://www.loverslab.com/showthread.php?tid=1391 & http://www.loverslab.com/showthread.php?tid=1761.

@Hawkeye

What is the issue with textures? I know the mouth issue but what other issues were found.

@Anyone with any mismatching textures

The issues are just as much as the nif files the as the race. I know the race is zeroed out in nifscope, but that doesn't mean the armors that are used are also.

Character saves that I've used shall be released soon, just need to get some things worked out and will have them ready tomorrow. I'm done with the race, sad I can't get the mouth fixed. I shall move on to other projects. PM me if you need help with this race or have specific questions.

Here are some of the issues that I have:

1. The head mesh is too big for a lot of the SK hair meshes. The bald spots are pretty bad in some cases.

2. I see this weird red band across the chest and knee areas under certain lighting.

I only tested it in Nehrim, after porting both files over.

The facial textures are good enough to impress. I uploaded a pic to nexus:

Weird, I don't have any issues with my race, I get no bald spots or anything. Are you using my face template or save, I'm just trying to figure out what could cause that. Also I recommend you use http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=39966 to reduce seams and mesh gap issues. Another issue could be the armor you use, sometimes there's weird rendering issues or poor uv maps.

Thanks for that link. However regarding the issues, I checked the date of the my head mesh files, and they are marked 8/26/2011 9:39pm, as in the download I got from the top post of this thread. When I put on a hood, there are two bald spots showing too. I think this may be a Nehrim specific issue?

Hmmm, this is strange and I unfortunately don't know if there is an issue with Nehrim, I wouldn't know do to me not having Nehrim installed. Also a possible issue is that Nehrim doesn't use HGEC, so there could be issue with skin textures.

I just wanted to make a little post to thank you for your work and thanks for the 'blind' eyes too :P , now I just have to play with the sliders to make an evilish but cute looking character :D

Weird' date=' I don't have any issues with my race, I get no bald spots or anything.

Concerning this issue, here are some examples (playing with the forehead slider does not solve the problem)

maybe this can be solved by editing the hair mesh, on the Y axis in Nifskope or Blender.

Weird, my head textures are different, did you add something? Or could you give me a screenie of the racemenu to see what you've done, she's BEAUTIFUL.

Here is the racemenu. Forget about the hair, just messing around with sim meshes.

Finally got your version fixed :D

Happy it works and I'm happy so many people helped get everyone else on track to making cool characters.

Also she looks very good, just be careful though on the nexus, they can be unforgiving concerning that race or ripped content.
