johnpage Posted February 25, 2018 Posted February 25, 2018 For me at least this forum and the generous content provided by the kind benefactors saved sims 4 for me as it did sims 3, i would not touch the standard ea fare with a bargepole the mods here enable the game(s) to be played in a much more realstic and humanist way and in some cases quite kinky ie enabling a secret fantasy which would normaly be frowned upon, lovers lab saved sims and skyrim and fallout and hopefully will save a lot more mundane boring robotic games that the state beives they can manipulate us with.....

I laughed out loud when I found these in the Laundry stuff! I definitely agree that it is no coincidence.
enziguri Posted March 1, 2018 Posted March 1, 2018 Indeed. When I saw s4 first time, it was great disappointment. Even as basis for dlc's it was really poor. The only reason I've started s4 is because sex animations, made for it, became much greater than in s3, and their potential in s4 is much higher. If only ea could make dlc with horses for s4, so I can duplicate my kinky ranch from 3, that would be really great. 1
furlowredneck Posted March 11, 2018 Posted March 11, 2018 I have been playing the Sims series since it first came out. I lost interest in the Sims 4 quicker than I did with the other 3. I was on the verge of going back and playing Sims 3 until I came across this site by mistake. Wicked Whims totally saved the Sims 4 for me personally. I want to thank the creator of it, they are totally awesome. 3
Latuda Posted March 13, 2018 Posted March 13, 2018 Absolutely otherwise I do not have this game anymore. All the creators do fabulous work ! Thanks to all ! 4
PenguinDust Posted March 18, 2018 Posted March 18, 2018 I never would have subscribed to EA Access to get the game if it wasn't for Wicked Whims and I never would have subsequently bought a bunch of expansions (when 1/2-off) if I hadn't wanted more to do in between the "bomp-chicka-wah-wah". So, EA got my money because of WW. Doesn't really seem fair now that I think about it. 1
0nyx_ Posted March 23, 2018 Posted March 23, 2018 Mods have been a lifesaver for me. Even CC. I almost stopped playing for a year out of sheer boredom because I tried to stay vanilla, but caved and started getting a few pieces of CC here and there and gradually went to mods. Definitely saved it for me. 1
SexyLove85 Posted March 23, 2018 Posted March 23, 2018 WickedWhims totally saved my gameplay Sims 4 without mods is horrid. I definitely prefer Sims 3 but I play Sims 4 cause I get multiple households to play. But without mods Sims 4 is like watching paint dry. I’m never playing vanilla again even the skin tones are horrible base game. 4
LordAureli Posted March 23, 2018 Posted March 23, 2018 Thanks to mods, specially WW, I could bring my original characters from stories I've written to life. And since most of them are adult-oriented... yeah. Definitely. 1
StunningCoconut Posted March 25, 2018 Posted March 25, 2018 i wouldn't use the word save, more like it made the game more interesting 1
GamesCooky Posted March 25, 2018 Posted March 25, 2018 Completely honest with you. To me yes, wickedwhims saved The Sims 4. And no offense to the developer of the mod (because wickedwhims is an amazing mod), but it's sad to see that a sex mod is the only motivation i have to play this game. If i want to play a life simulator, i go back to The Sims 3. If i want sex, i go for The sims 4 xD

kiss u Posted April 2, 2018 Posted April 2, 2018 I've enjoyed the past iterations vanilla for a very long time. I can't say the same about 4 though. I don't think the game is as empty as people say it is, especially at this state. However, the problem I have with this one i the problem I have with 3, bugs. I get that some things would require full rebuild to fix, but if people in the community fix a known problem well before the developers do, that's sad. I love WW because of what it adds and the screenshots I can get, but it's not perfect and it's not for everyone. I don't have the extreme violence mod, despite it being a well made mod, because the idea of graphic murder and violence in the Sims is a bit uncanny (this is coming from someone whose into gore and violent stuff lol). I'm glad that people are finding more replayability in the game due to mods, but it's a double ended sword, because that means the base game provides little interest on it's on.
kiss u Posted April 2, 2018 Posted April 2, 2018 Also we must remember that even with Turbodriver's hard work WickedWhims is still a tool. It's an extension of the game but would not be anywhere without all of the lovely animators and cc creators that help to create along side it. 5
razzor69 Posted April 8, 2018 Posted April 8, 2018 The sims games without mods surely are boring, and the end game of the sims well having a babies, how we do that? wicked whims is the solution not that woohoo boring animation
Outlast1 Posted April 8, 2018 Posted April 8, 2018 I fell that Wicked whims brought a lot to the table, and made game-play more engaging but not completely saved. It took time getting used to it kinda like the 2.0 update for Stellaris hated it cause it was not like sims 3 but there were things i did like about it from start. But in my shitty opinion if whims had not happened I would not still be playing.

I feel overwhelmed by the amount of mods there are. They seem interesting but to use them all takes away from the game. And I essentially love the game, the mods... aren't even secondary, they're not necessary for me. I don't mean it in the sense that they're bad but they're not the original Sims for me. But I will keep playing with them for a while though. Not just WW, a lot of others aswell, the non sexy ones. I agree as much as I love the game, the amount of mods and updates can be a headache to keep up with.
Quethafreak Posted April 11, 2018 Posted April 11, 2018 I do in a sense, Although my least favorite part of it, is keeping up with updates so that the game can continue to work properly, I do believe it added soo much more to the game, that all of us were looking for.
Madison09 Posted April 17, 2018 Posted April 17, 2018 I think it absolutely saved the game. I bet you can also see sales going up when the mod was released. EA clearly even knew about it and let him continue to develop it with minor name changes.
Dio_Wolf49 Posted April 19, 2018 Posted April 19, 2018 I bought The Sims 4 after failing a job interview hard, again. The game seemed unfinished to me and then it just broke (Couldn't save, spent hours trouble fixing). I wanted to return it to EA but couldn't. I considered it a huge waste of money. Then I found video on porn hub about wicked whims and thought to myself, "Maybe this mod would make things fun". Now I'm happy with the sims 4 even though I still see it as a downgrade from the sims 3. However, it pisses me off the EA keeps creating updates that kill mods. In general, I don't think Wicked Whims saved the sims 4. Did Wicked Whims make the game better? Yes, 100% better.
7darkdays Posted April 19, 2018 Posted April 19, 2018 Judging from my sisters and their friends. I think teenage girls who wants to play dressup and build houses saved it. I doubt most of us are their core demography to begin with. The only mods my sisters ever download is a horde of dresses and hairstyles, so i don't think this particular mod did much there. Maybe it added parts of a demography that wouldn't otherwise be interested.
Yr_Sa Posted April 20, 2018 Posted April 20, 2018 In the world market of computer games very little good sex Content. WW made from SIMS 4 is a quality product of the gaming sex industry. I am sure - the game has become much popular than it could be. 3
Lucifcr Posted April 25, 2018 Posted April 25, 2018 I only heard of WW through a friend after she had shown me the mod on her save when I came over to her house one day. I've played Sims completely vanilla here and there over the years, and invested in 4 for the sake of WW and other CC mods I had found while helping another friend. The mods may have not ""saved"" the Sims 4 imo, but it definitely makes it the more interesting and somewhat more realistic in regards to the Wicked Whims mod that TURBODRIVER has worked so hard on. Like what everyone else has said in one way or another in this thread: WW and other mods/cc kept their interest in the Sims 3/4 and made the game less boring for them. I think that alone is EA's little saving grace for keeping the Sims series afloat for as long as it has.
