I'll start with images from works which were well known in their time yet faded into obscurity over time.

Dragon Force for the Sega Saturn. I love that game!

Alright, here goes something significantly less obscure at the present even if this moment from this adaptation is less well remembered than others.

Yeah..I remember having this recorder on vhs as a kid. That boy was a magician's apprentice and the green face (was gold at first iirc) is a spellbook evil spirit. Then there were bears with various symbols on their bellies. I also remember a ship made of clouds with giant star instead of sail...can't remember the title though. I've seen it dubbed and it's original title was also translated into my language..so that doesn't help either....and I don't want to cheat by googling it.

You know what it was all about so as far as I am concerned, you are correct. It was Care Bears: The Movie.

Journey to the West has been getting remakes and reimaginings for centuries now (including Dragon Ball, Monkey Magic and Saiyuki).

I know I've seen this toon before. But I can't remember. A part of me wants to say The Last Unicorn.

You are correct. I picked an image with one of the more memorable creatures yet didn't feature the titular beast. It seems to have made as much of an impression on you as expected from the work of Rankin-Bass in their prime.
