@RicZen So against suggestion - you didn't rely on FNIS while debugging. Since setting it up in MO2 is easy due to lots of tutorials you would find your problem way sooner.

BTW: If you have anything in overwrite folder it means you don't fully understand how to use MO2 (effectively) or you do but ignore that knowledge on purpose - which would be what I do not know.

As I mentioned earlier, FNIS complained about too many animations, which made its error reporting useless.

Besides, I don't see how FNIS could have spotted a Pandora Output folder problem?

I never pretended to be an expert. In fact, I only started using MO2 a month ago, so you'll have to excuse me if I don't fully master it yet!

This has been bugging me. You seem to imply that it's possible not to have anything ever show up in the Overwrite folder. But that contradicts everything I've ever read/heard about it. I went digging some more after your response, and I can't find a single thing that supports your statement. Quite the opposite, including from MO2's own github (third link), ie:

If it can really be avoided, it'd be nice if you shared how, because the information is not out there (or is not easily found / doesn't exist anymore) and it'd be one less thing for me (and possibly others) to worry about.

One word - Bullshit.

Now since it has been established that your problems were direct result of lack of experience and shortcuts while following guidelines rather that SexLab Framework in itself for which this thread is dedicated - please kindly move your any further issues out of it to place more appropriate - like tech support section of the forum.

Lovely. Didn't realize you had to be an expert to post here. Thanks anyway.

Maybe you could read the documentation instead? The create files in mod instead of overwrite does exactly that and should be used for tools that create outputs.

So after doing a playthrough ending mistake I decided to start a new game, but sexlab MCM is just empty and no idea why when the older save have it working just fine, waiting doesn't help and trying another new game consistently fail to show anything inside the sexlab MCM, Apropos2 does the same but only after I start it

SL 1.66b

Same issue as Rebon on page 475

Wasn't there an issue with sexlab's papyrus utility.dll or something like that?

Edit : Played around with the load order, turned off papyrus utility AE/SE and made sexlabframework overwritte sexlab utility plus, mod MCM content showing up again when starting a new game

@Rebon See if this help as you have the same issue

Two quick questions I'm really struggling with if anyone can help cus there aren't any tutorials online I can find for this.

- "Size Matters NG" and "Size Alchemy" mods compatibility: are there any MCM settings, other mods, patches or config edits I would need to make them work together? If I were to download extra animation packs with animations for giant female NPCs (not to be confused with mods/animation packs that add wild Female Giants as creatures) would they just auto-detect a tag on female NPCs added by Size Matters and know to use only "giantess" tagged animations, and vice-versa would it detect a tag on the Player as a "shrunken" and tell normal-sized women to only use those animations? Or would that need to be something I would have to do manually; and if so can I just target a certain NPC, go into MCM and say "Don't use these animations with her, only uses THESE ones." and go back to gameplay?

- "Defeat" mods: Following the above question; which "alternate defeat" mod (like Acheron) is the most plug-and-play, supported and recommended one? I'm getting conflicting and old/out-of-date info trying to do research myself; and if there's the options of multiple stable ones I would prefer whichever allows easiest customization of its features in MCM.

Thank you ❤️

Question about loading my Sexlab profile.  Everything seems to work except for any animation adjustments.  My adjusted values will save and be loaded and visible in the MCM, but they won't actually provide any offsets unless I go into an ongoing animation to mess with the values again to force it to reload.

I'm using the version of Sexlab compatible with VR.  Is this a bug or is there a way to force the offsets to load properly?  I know this happens on a brand new game but I'm not certain if it fails to load the offsets for each individual animation or if after I've adjusted it again that it will stick on an ongoing save.

Can OSA and SexLab be used in the same save?  What happens if they are used in the same save?

Hey I'm confused, Pandora says it handles everything FNIS handles in a streamlined fashion and not to use FNIS with it.
Instructions say use FNIS, in particular to run GenerateFNISforUsers.exe tool, which doesn't seem to exist.
How should I proceed since that's line 2 of the installation instructions?

"Create Creature Behaviors ..." and BELOW that "Reading SexLabCreature ..."

I'm not seeing this, Pandora, FNIS, FNIS Creature Pack and Sexlab can't seem to see each other, at all.
I'm using MO2, standard Skyrim SE up to date, running every executable through MO2.
It's just these mods that seem to have issues with each other, even when following step by step instructions. Are the instructions outdated?

If I need to clear everything and start again, what should I do?
Do I need to go FNIS -> Pandora instead of Pandora -> FNIS?
What does Pandora mean by not needing FNIS when FNIS has all the apparent functionality?

Is there actually a clear way that Sexlab can use Pandora alone with few hiccups as Pandora and some its users seem to indicate?

Hello, the instructions on the page are based on the FNIS Engine because it is the classic original tool that everyone used 6 years ago, until Nemesis Engine came along and later the effective Pandora Engine. The instructions have remained outdated because there are many people who continue using FNIS, since these users are not interested in creating a modern Skyrim setup with more complex animations, which is understandable. I do not know why the SexLab page has not been updated, but since Skyrim AE no longer receives updates, this mod could be considered complete and its information has not been updated since then. If you are one of those users who want your Skyrim to handle more complex animations, I recommend Pandora Engine; you can follow its installation guides on the same page. It is very easy and effective to use, just do not be afraid to read carefully. Cheers

Thank you, LL's forums seem really unoptimised for searching for up to date information. Btw, what's SLAL? I see its initials mentioned everywhere but no one seems to say its whole name.

OK, Pandora can see the animations, I might have done everything right the first time, with Pandora at least.

But they don't play in game. Is there a Sexlab guide page that's specifically for Pandora?

As you mentioned before, SLAL is completely a necessary requirement for your animations to work. SexLab is not something plug and play; it needs an installation process. For some people, that may seem tedious, which is why they came up with that thing called SexLab P+, but that’s another story, and if you’re interested in that route, I recommend learning the basics first.

Just follow SLAL’s instructions properly to register your animations correctly in the game so they can be used. Depending on your setup, it can take about 2 to 5 minutes, and depending on your ability to handle mod-related stuff too. Happy modding!

EDIT 2: I WORKED OUT WHAT WAS WRONG. Pandora's most recent version doesn't work. Reverted to a prior version and suddenly everything worked as intended (except SOS, which I'm working on getting functional next). Thanks for your earlier patience. (/edit 2)

Hey, sorry if I seemed like I was complaining, it's just that nothing mentions SLAL in guides as a hard requirement. A straightforward guide for all Pandora users that mentions all steps would be handy. Sorry if that seemed like a complaint about the process itself.

I've struggle sessioned with it a fair bit, the humans won't start animations, they just stand still, the critters start animations though with my character just standing there moaning, it even remembers to apply splooge to her vag. What am I likely to have done wrong? Pandora registers 1408 character default animations, so they exist but they don't seem to be getting called when I use Matchmaker to test.

edit: so I added a whole bunch of respected animation mods, registered them and everything, but the only ones that seem to appear actually in the game is More Nasty Critters, presumably, with the humans not doing anything, but the giants, etc. do. Human-Human animations don't play at all, they just stand inside each other. The guides say "you've made a mistake" but don't suggest what mistake that could be. Am I making a common mistake for which there is an easy direction I should be looking?

Hello. I keep getting perma freezes after scenes end. The only thing my logs have in common near the end is...

Error: Array index 2 is out of range (0-1)
stack:
[Active effect 10 on  (00000014)].SOA_RegisterEventsSexlabScript.AnimationEndEvent() - "SOA_RegisterEventsSexlabScript.psc" Line 59

Also using SLU+.
How can I fix this? Please assist.
