I'm trying to download the 1.6.1170 version of SexLab but whenever i start the download on either chrome or opera, the download gets to 44% then stops abruptly, is there any way to fix this?

Try something else other than Opera...

@Saint_Olaf, I know you're frustrated and just want to get your game working the way you want. Take a breath and try to relax. Almost all of us have been in a similar situation of trying to figure out what's not working. You're not giving anybody enough info to help you. This is from a post I made:

You've already given us some of the details, but if you think of anything else, that could be useful (fwiw, this was point 5 in my post but when I quoted the quote changed to 1, lol).

It wouldn't hurt to tell us what mod manager you use.

Hello and thanks for your response...

Just upset because I am coming for help and nothing but trolls.

Also, I had already followed the instructions from the links they posted, which lead me to the problem I have now lol.

So here is the situation. I have been steadily working on this...

I have removed for now, Pandora and Nemesis (and their output files), just trying to narrow it further down.

So now I am strictly dealing with FNIS

Running FNIS in admin, from the mo folder, as an application within MO2. Have an output folder set up, and can confirm files do generate into it. I have gone through FNIS warning and removed everything that had warnings that were not related to mods (Animation packs specifically) I have identified a couple of troublesome mods and removed them.

When I go into SLab and look, it shows Idles and Creature idles in blue. "?"  Deleted and regened in Admin.. Still the same.

No matter what I do I still get that same result.

NPCS and Player frozen in Tpose, cant move, Camera moves around fine and if I am in an outdoor location animals run around like they should.

Best I can see right now its an Issue with the Idles in Slab somehow. Or maybe another conflict.

All the animations show up in SLAL, The Groovetama one checks out, Zaz Checks out, Animations all show up in the mods when scanned or registered. Pcea shows its working. By all rights it "should" run lol..

I did have Pandora working with combat animations and such before Slab was introduced.

I have tried Pandora alone, Nemesis alone, FNIS alone (which should avoid conflicts with the engines) Ensuring each was unchecked and such.

Various configurations with output files on and off. Checked the "actual" data file to make sure nothing got sent there and its clean other the skse which I have manually installed at this point using the version that matches the Slab version confirmed.

All things have resulted in pretty much the same, sometimes tposing and can slide around. Sometimes frozen in place. All the animations showing as loaded, all things checking out as in there. Just the Slab 2 Idle files showing the blue "?" which reading what it says is OK as long as your character can move and animations play, which is not the case here.

As noted I have removed all of that and feel like I have done something wrong with Slab, I did just confirm I am using the correct version with the b at the end. Followed step by step from the slab page..

Its been 3 years since my last modlist, but before that I was able to patch and write minor mods.. but now I am a newbie again... lol

I have made sure Spells, creatures are installed as instructed.

Just cannot figure this out for the life of me.. Its going to be something super stupid I feel like.

Tomorrow I am going to start removing other mods unassociated with Slab in groups of 10 and see if I can find something else conflicting.

In the meantime any help offered is gratefully accepted!

May I suggest a different approach? I'm putting it behind a spoiler.

Spoiler

Remove all your mods, other than skse. Start with a clean slate. Make sure there are no old scripts, etc. I don't know if MO2 has a purge function or not (I use Vortex) but you get the drift. For the record, whenever I update the game I go through the same process. I even wrote a blog about it that might help.

If you follow what I did, only for MO2 instead of Vortex, you'll notice I start w/ some building blocks first (FNIS, Bodyslide, etc.). Follow the steps through the alternate start section and make sure your game starts. If you're using FNIS, don't forget to install the creature pack for creature animations.

Now, from the blog:  "Download and install SkyUI, Sexlab Framework, and Sexlab Aroused ." You can open the sexlab menu and go 'toggle animations'; you should see they are all checked. You can save at this point so you aren't repeating any steps.

Once you've done everything in that section, and you know Sexlab installed correctly, it's time to get to your issue and test some animations. You need a mod that calls on sexlab. I am currently using Radiant Prostitution - RMCW Edition v. 8.1.1 and that might work well for you. Choose a start at an inn, preferably in a bigger hold for better testing, All you have to do then is ask the innkeeper for work and then start plying your trade. If everything is installed correctly so far, you should see the animation play out. You can quit.

If you continue to follow what I do, you'll do the Devious Devices stuff next, then add your other mods in small batches.

These are some of my other core mods, not listed in my blog, that are required by other mods or I find useful. I started my current game in January 2025.

.NET Script Framework

ConsoleUtilSSE NG

Crash Logger SSE AE VR - PDB support

FileAccess Interface for Skyrim SE Scripts - FISSES

FISSES patch for Skyrim AE 1.6.1130 (or later)

More Nasty Critters Special Edition and Creature Framework

Papyrus Tweaks NG

PapyrusUtil SE - Modders Scripting Utility Functions

powerofthree's Papyrus Extender

powerofthree's Tweaks

Scrab's Papyrus Extender

SexLab Animation Loader SSE

various animation packs

SSE Engine Fixes

UIExtensions

ZaZ Animation Pack+ CBBE HDT v. 8.0+SE2023

Once you  have eliminated or taken care of any conflicts, and have working system, you can delete Radiant Prostitution and alternate start mods if you wish. Run FNIS again, deploy, sort, and start a new game. If you don't use an alternate start, then I don't believe Sexlab will begin installing until after you're out of Helgen.

FWIW, whenever I start a new game, I uninstall and remove all the mods I am not going to use (I don't delete the archives, though I do move them to a different folder from my install folder). I run FNIS and Bodyslide. Deploy and sort. I make sure it starts. I quit. I update where available or necessary. I run FNIS and Bodyslide. Deploy and sort. And follow the later steps in my blog by installing the desired mods in small batches. Hopefully catching any problems earlier rather than later.

Just so you know, I'm not a technical expert, I'm only going by what works for me and what I've gleaned from others more knowledgeable. I hope this helps.

Oh this is a fresh install...

I didn't try and update a 3 year old mod list. I was just saying 3 years ago was the last time I had a mod list. This is a brand new instal of skyrim and EVERYTHING

Also, I should have noted I am on AE 1.6.1170 seeing as how a lot of these mods say different versions.

Should I have downgraded?

FFS this is why I stopped playing fallout 4 lol.. Bethesda has made it to much of a mess to bother with anymore.

All the mods to get Sexlab running are all over the places for 5 different versions of the game at this point...

Is there anyway to change the way Sexlab installs itself with regards to sexual orientation? When I hit "install" it assigns every NPC in the game as Heterosexual and gives them sex experience. So I have to manually look at an NPC hit N and manually change every women in the game to "lesbian manually " but there sex experience still says 18 male partners. So its not really changing anything. You can reset the NPC sex stat to wipe everything out. It doesn't rebuild the sex stat but just wipes it out. So the NPC still acts straight. Or acts "sexually pure" because you wiped their experience.

This matters for mods like "Sexlab aroused or Horrible harassment, and Follower player dynamic arousal.

This is a basic feature on Oblivion's loverslab framework it should be simple on Skyrims, how do I set women to be 50% les and 50% Bi before the install of Sexlab, or tell Sexlab to rebuild gobal orientation values after Sexlab installs so the NPCs harass me the way I want.?

No, not imo, I'm on 1.6.1170, it's mostly patience and being careful to double-check that the mods are correct for your game. And that they work together. That's why I install in smaller batches, makes it easier for me to identify problems and react accordingly. Sure, it takes some time but better to troubleshoot earlier than later :). Remember, if you still need help provide your complete mod list and don't forget about the technical support thread. I'm crossing my fingers!

I have an issue, I just fresh installed Skyrim SE after not playing for a few years, I don't have the anniversary edition and now I've downloaded the latest framework with fnis and all the other requirements but when I go to install it in the mcm menu nothing happens, I click and nothing, also I tried the other AE and SE versions and I get errors telling me to use the latest version instead, so I'm kind of stumped, am I supposed to downgrade?

Hi! Am using SKSE 2.0.2 for Skyrim 1.5.97 version (SSE) but the mod discription states SKSE 2.2.6 or newer as requirment. Do i use the LE version of framewrok or do i upgrade skse?

If suggesting upgrading SKSE, would it be compatible with SSE i.e. 1.5.97 version or do i also have to upgrade the whole game and the whole modlist to AE?

SKSEのアップグレードを推奨する場合、SSE(つまり1.5.97バージョン)と互換性があるでしょうか?それとも、ゲーム全体とMODリスト全体をAEにアップグレードする必要があるのでしょうか?

For Skyrim Special Edition (1.5.97, aka SE) use SexLabFrameworkSE_v163.7z

Simple stuff, got it when read that in mod description!     ( T_T )

The question was weather that 'specefic' sexlab framework version (SexLabFrameworkSE_v163.7z) requires skse 2.2.6

which according to skse page is not compatible with skyrim 1.5.97 and states to use skse 2.0.20

So which one shall i go with!? not the sexlab framework version but the SKSE version..........!? for SSE.

As the title indicates, these requirements are for v1.66b.

Fundamentally, SKSE depends on the exe version, so you cannot use SKSE 2.2.6 with 1.5.97.

The required SKSE version for 1.5.97 is 2.0.20, and the SexLab Framework must be v1.63.

Since you can only use the older skse for that version of Skyrim, and that version of skyrim requires that older version of sexlab, I would put money on the older sexlab using the older skse...

A question to modders who are better than I am:

For mods requiring Sexlab P+ does regular Sexlab work?

If not, can I install both at the same time?

Since Sexlab P+ require Sexlab - yes - you not only can but must have them both at the same time.

Separate question is - will you really have regular Sexlab while also having Sexlab P+?

And looking from (old/classic) mods' point of view, the answer most likely is - "no, not really" (I'm not an expert here - so this may not be accurate).

hello, im having trouble with sexlab and sexlab aroused.
Whenever i try the masturbation animation of sexlab aroused, my character will only play idle animation.
And, as for sexlab my character doesn't seems to be visualized in the option, like my name is grey out.

Sexlab MCM is not showing for me, no matter how long I wait. I'm on 1.5.97 Skyrim SE version and I downloaded the correct version of Sexlab. What might be causing this?

I have the same problem. I also use “Random sex” mod and the NPCs don't use the beds either.

I have installed SexLab 166b, SLUP (20240407), and SLATE SE (20160801).

Game version: 1.6.1170
