I'm focusing on Gen 1 because I'm actually doing a playthrough of Gen 1 and I'm treating the series as part of my gaming backlog so I'm not going to jump to the other Gens until I complete the first ones. As I play through the game, I am simultaneously editing the text files so after my first run, my consecutive runs would be testing the dialogue.

That's my process of making the mod.

 

Gen 8 has been given an exception as I'm also focusing on Sword/Shield and Legends: Arceus because it's more fun to be naked in a 3D environment.

I honestly don't mind the joke because I know it's ironic and it's always good to be lighthearted over the situation.

But I am going to do a rundown of each generation's scenarios so some people who's fixated about this would shut up about it.

If someone ignores this and still ask me these questions, it's safe to assume they're trying to troll and you should always ignore.

• [Gen 1] Red & Blue: Red apparently lost his clothes and couldn't be bothered (or possibly not care) about it because he's eager to start his Pokemon adventure.
• [Gen 1] Yellow: Red overslept and ran off in a hurry to start his adventure before realising he's not dressed. Prof. Oak almost sent him back but then recognises the opportunity of having Red go on a case study of what happens if a young trainer collects all the gym badges and Pokemon in the nude.
• [Gen 2] Gold & Silver / Crystal: Ethan or Kris had all their clothes stolen before they had to run an important errand for Prof. Elm that would greatly help with Pokemon research. Because Ethan/Kris won't be wearing clothes for a while, Elm encourages them to be brave and take on the Gym Challenge naked, like what a certain Kanto boy did 2 years ago.
• [Gen 3] Ruby & Sapphire / Emerald: Brendan or May's mother sold all their clothes away so they both could move to Hoenn, forcing you to be nude at the new region.
• [Gen 3] FireRed & LeafGreen: Same as Gen 1.
• [Gen 4] Diamond & Pearl: Lucas' or Dawn's mother strongly believes in a prophecy that you're the same person who saved Hisui over a century ago based on your uncanny resemblance to Rei/Akari from vintage photos and insists that you have to be constantly nude in case you somehow went back in time on your adventures.
• [Gen 4] Platinum: Ditto, but the intro plays out differently so there may be some slight changes.
• [Gen 4] HeartGold & SoulSilver: Same as Gen 2.
• [Gen 5] Black & White: For now, the only scenario I could think of is that Hilbert or Hilda and their mother are already established to be nudists.
• [Gen 5] Black & White 2: Ditto, maybe. Nate or Rosa wouldn't be the only nudist in Unova if they happen to find Hilbert/Hilda's mom.
• [Gen 6] X & Y: After moving in to Kalos, Calem or Serena decided to start their new life in Kalos as a nudist and what better way to do this than to introduce yourself in your birthday suit to your new group of friends.
• [Gen 6] Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire: Same as Gen 3.
• [Gen 7] (Ultra) Sun & (Ultra) Moon: Elio or Selene finds the weather at Alola so hot that they prefer to stay naked everywhere.
• [Gen 7] Let's Go Pikachu/Eevee: After being caught naked by Trace, Chase or Elaine decided to go with it and start their adventure in the nude.
• [Gen 8] Sword & Shield: Victor or Gloria have always been a nudist at their small hometown and intends to keep it that way even when partaking in the Gym Challenge where matches would be broadcast nationally. Either that or Victor/Gloria took a silly dare by Hop too seriously to do the Gym Challenge completely naked.
• [Gen 8] Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl: Same as Gen 4.
• [Gen 8] Legends: Arceus: You're forced to stay nude by your captain as you're expected to document Pokemon's perception of human nudity. The reason why you're nude in the first place could be any reason. You may have always been a nudist by choice, you were just undressing before Arceus isekai'd you, or your mother imposed you to be naked based on the scenario for Gen 4 to actually fulfill that prophecy.
• [Gen 9] Scarlet & Violet: Florian or Juliana wants to make their first impression at school one to remember and in order to do that, they're going to the Naranja/Uva academy totally naked on their first day of school. Although the academy's director doesn't approve of this nonsense, your new friend Nemona gladly encourages you to attend the academy in the nude and being the president of the student council, she'll negotiate for you so you could be allowed to stay naked at school.
• [Gen 9] Legends: Z-A: Because this game is currently not released, we can only speculate what the story is like. We know that Lumiose City is undergoing an urban development plan so both humans and Pokemon could live together peacefully. Perhaps the player character, Paxton or Harmony, volunteers to be the city's local nudist to evaluate the safety of wild Pokemon in the city's Wild Zones while encouraging trainers in the Z-A Royale to be tolerant of everybody including nudists.
• [Gen 10]: You pray to Arceus in your natural state that Game Freak would develop their games to the same quality standards as Nintendo's other games.

I am not going to bother with the majority of the spin-off and side games including battle simulators.

Don't ask me stupid questions about what happens if you're naked if the game doesn't show your character in-game or for applications that aren't games at all.

Don't bother me about the Snap games, Picross games, Pinball games, Pikachu games, Trozei games, mobile games, or the Trading Card Game duology on Game Boy.

I am not doing nudity reactions on games where you play as Pokemon such as Mystery Dungeon, Rumble or PokéPark because they wouldn't react when they're all already naked. Ranger is the only spin-off series I may consider and right now, I don't have any planned scenarios for them because I don't know that series too well.

At the very least, I hope we'll see Switch 2 improvements for all the previous Pokemon games on Switch 1. I'd love to see them running in proper 60 FPS or perhaps more.

I'm just going by someone's suggestion because there's this neat thing in B&W2 where you could visit the previous protagonist's house and chat with their mom.

It'd be like acknowledging continuity if that character is also naked.

 

Not everything is set in stone though, it'd be a long while before I bother to mod Gen 5.

If you really want your character to be the only one naked, I might figure out a unique scenario by the time I get to Gen 5 while the other scenario would just be a variation.

this was my suggestion! the reason is because in B&W your mom delivers the running shoes to you in person on route 2 instead of in your house, and i just thought it would be fun if she was naked too. plus i know she calls you a few times and just overall i felt like she kinda had a bigger presence in your journey compared to some other moms, so i feel like that connection of them both being nudists makes sense.

Well, I'm happy to report that merging Bare Red with Naturalmon has been successful with no issues related to byte sizes.

(Even with the player sprites not being as compressed as the Pokemon sprites)

 

 

However, I don't have time to put together a patch for the weekend. Besides, I rather merge them when Bare Red has been given the RAINBOWBADGE (0.3) Update.

Although I could make a version of Bare Blue (only nude player sprite) with the anatomically-correct Pokemon soon once I have the time for it.

I just wanna make sure I understood correctly, so Bare Blue would be just the sprite edits, no dialogue edits. Presumably Bare Red would have versions with and without the Naturalmon edits, right?

Yes.

 

I might look into adding all Pokemon to both versions so you won't miss out on the version-exclusive Pokemon so you could actually complete the Pokedex in one game...in the nude.

Good to know, also being able to complete the Dex without trading is always a good thing when a hack does it. I probably won't play with the Naturalmon sprites, but that's me. If other people like those sprites, I'm not gonna tell them which version to play or how to play.

 

I ended up not checking Route 11 when I played through the Thunder Badge update, but I assume it was edited, correct?

Not yet, that's going to be part of the Rainbow Badge update. I still want to finish up an update for Legends: Arceus before I resume work on Bare Red/Yellow.

It shouldn't be long but I'm currently away from my PC for a while to do any work.

I mean, you already can already get any Pokemon (including the glitch ones) in one game if you use 8F and its Arbitrary Code Execution powers to give yourself them directly.

I did that in my Pokemon Cock rom hack. I had to transfer a pidgey in since that one was not in the hack for some reason.

Though, you need surf, fly, and access to cinnabar for that to be possible.
