The deed is done.








One of the running sprites has been almost totally redone. The way she was running was because of her bag, and she no longer has the bag, so I fixed it. That took quite a while and I had to return to it multiple times before I was happy with it. It's pretty nice if I do say so myself.

The biking sprites were a significant challenge, but I'm very satisfied with the result.

The fishing sprites were the most difficult. I don't know what happens when she takes out that fishing rod, but she shrinks. Getting those to look right was...an appropriate final boss for this endeavor. I am extremely happy with the improvements there.

Just fucking look at that sideways casting sprite. LOOK AT IT. IT'S ADORABLE AND YOU KNOW IT.

Damn near every single sprite on this sheet has been updated. Roughly 90% of them.


Final time from start to publish is nine and a half consecutive hours.


The only thing left to do as far as I am aware is this thing.




I am going to let someone else do that. It should be really easy. The first and last already have finished sprites to trace. Ganbare, ganbare.





Anyway, I am very, very tired and I need a shower.

I'll admit, when I casually checked my phone while sitting on the toilet just now and say that big bold text, I thought for a second that the final patch had finally been completed. Wishful thinking, I guess, lol. Anyway, congratulations on finishing a daunting task like that. You've definitely earned your rest.

Oh yay, I finally found the sprites they use when you're entering in your name!

Problem is: you need to edit the sheet like this. How fun!

One of the chopped bits of Dawn's sprite seems to have not been edited, actually. You can still see the skirt and coat. It seems to be the back sprite?

I circled the sprite in question, not sure if that sprite actually shows in game though. I'm on my phone most of the time so I can't do some things involving image edits.

Well, that took four entire hours. Who knew adding the sprites and checking the palettes took up so much time?

Nude Platinum Version 7-1-5 is here!!!

All of @sodacan's recent edits to Dawn have been added.

I can now confidently say that Dawn is finished. Yippee!!

(Minus the sprites that show up when you're entering your name, but I just figured out where those are today. And they don't need me to make any new sprites for them)

Now we just have Lucas, the old ladies in the overworld, and a few more miscellaneous sprites. Completing Dawn is a major accomplishment. I want to thank you all.

I think I need to take a short rest and a shower too.

If Florian or Juliana doesn't dress up for the day at the start of Scarlet/Violet, that's probably because they want to make a strong first day impression at school which Nemona is happy to support with. I've already written a draft for the game's prologue that I'm willing to finish once someone finally makes a nude player mod available.

I love how thin Dawn looks now, especially for the sideway sprites. It's a great improvement, well done!

I was looking through those and found a nude version of the battle-back of the female player character from Pokemon Uranium (labeled "Uranium trbackF"). Is there an actual nude patch for that game somewhere, or is there nothing beyond that one edit? I ask because about a month ago, I specifically looked for one, couldn't find any, then went "I guess I'll see if I can make one myself" only to discover that edit just now, well after I already tried making my own nude edit for that very sprite. 🥲

Exactly. It's kinda rude asking for more just 14 hours after Sodacan said they were taking a rest from spriting for a bit. You've gotta wait at least a week for more.
Making sprites and adding them to the game s a lot of hard work. Burnout is real. Sodacan deserves their rest. I get that you want Dawn barefoot now, but be a little more patient. 

I wanted to wait until the sprites were finalized to make her barefoot, so that's why she hasn't been barefoot in the overworld until now.

@sodacan I think I can probably do the barefoot overworld sprites. There's not much detail you can put in them, so I can probably just change the pinks on the feet to skin color. You don't need to worry about it.

 

...okay I'm sorry if I sound rude here. I just don't want Sodacan to leave the project because they were too burnt out to create their quality art.

I mean, you just have to patch the rom to add the nude sprites first and then use the universal Pokemon randomizer on the ROM.

It shouldn't be too hard. If that doesn't work, report back to me.

Yay!!!!

Now Dawn is totally naked besides her iconic hat and hair clips.

I've actually taken more of a liking to barefoot Dawn, so now here are the proposed patches once Nude Platinum has been finished:

1. A patch with barefoot Dawn, Dahlia with the hair balls, and with the nude male sprites that exist.

2. A patch with Dawn with boots, Dahlia without the hair balls, and without any nude male sprites.

3. Same as patch 1, but all sprites of characters who are way too young are given their clothes back.

(Of course, all three of these will have a separate version for: Platinum Rev A, Platinum Xenophobia Edition, and each of the two Moemon patches, meaning there will be about twelve total.)

Any other specifications we want to separate?
