Multiple bodytypes

so. i've been wondering this but is there an easy (if any) way to have multiple bodytypes in skyrim? like both cbbe and unp and you can change through mcm menu (or on game start up)

I don't personally know how to do it but I know a year ago there were several follower mods coming out with body types that could be changed via MCM or an activation item.  I imagine it'd be a matter of seeing what they did with their script change event and then applying that globally to women...  OH and their outfits.  Remember every outfit has to have a version for each body type.  THAT is where it gets tedious

The problem is that changing body type alone won't be enough. Most outfits are made for a specific body type so you would also have to swap all those. For example you can use a CBBE outfit with an UNP body, but the result will be that your body will be "CBBE-ish" when equipting that outfit. It could also result in seams because your head would be UNP but your dressed body CBBE.

Maybe a solution is to create two profiles in MO, one for CBBE and one for UNP, but using both on the same saved files would still be a mess. If you keep the profiles for completely separate game plays it wouldn't be a problem.

Not necessarily. Just because you change a body type doesn't mean you have to change the armor out because you can wear UNP armors while using a CBBE body just like you can wear CBBE armors while using a UNP body you just have to follow the 2 golden rules when doing it.

1) No outfits that show off the hips or crotches 2) No outfits that show off the breast ... breast are must be covered at all times.  You do this because UNP and CBBE have different UV maps in those areas but if you make sure to wear stuff that covers both of those areas then you can basically wear whatever you want. Unless it's something like lady body or DEM body those 2 won't work with any other body but the DAZ bodies.

BodyChange

Support "wardrobe" function (auto-change body when you equip certain outfits). But it quite obsolete

i tried to use it but couldn't understand it. hence the thread.

i would literary shoot myself if i have to setup the modlist for a new profile and have to constantly ctd... oh... ooooh the ctd flashback.

also. while i'm at it. which bodytype do you guys use? cos i might (not anytime soon but in a few months) redownload all skyrim mods and like a good and easy to use use bodytype.

aaaaaalso. does anyone here has a character preset with a character who happens to have a good face? i kinda selected a random redguard woman preset and now my character's got a hot body but an ugly face. XD

If you use replacers like Ordinary Women, Bijin's (not all in one) and multiple others,  they have their own body types (or allow you to select different types) and you can group them that way and even change out textures. Though I believe your bodyslide must be one or the other, so you can only modify one class. Also, outfits and their conversions can often have different names so they can exist side-by-side in your load order. Where they are stand alone, the author usually indicates which body type they include.  I have UNP and CBBE mixed, all HDT, with different textures to add variety. but this is a strain because you are actually overwriting (replacing) an NPC a couple of times in some cases. Not sure but suspect that isn't good performance practice.
