Posted only just last night in the LAPF thread itself... instructions how to redirect STEAM installation folders... including outside of Program Files itself.  Obviously, steam itself wasn't being considered when making the installation instructions for LAPF.  So it might be a good idea to ask a moderator to include the link within the instructions.

Dunno when, how or who...

Of course you can play the game if it's not in C : / program files

Maybe there is probem if Steam is in C : / program files and the game in another folder. But  I once had Steam and Skyrim in D  and Fallout NewVegas in F and it all worked.

My Oblivion is a disc version so I don't know if there is a problem if Steam and Game are in different folders..

But you should move Steam out of the C : / program files folder to a new game folder and there you can install all the games.

Link see post above.

Just in case, I added the instructions from Steam itself on changing the location of the Steam installation folder from Program Files.  I cannot alter the main post, nor the original pack's installation instructions.  It would be great if that could be altered to include the steam instructions assuming they be read.

Not 'wholly' accurate as Nexus Mods changed their forum structure.  So the URLs will not exactly work.  The Topic IDs are accurate, just that the instructions are using an older URL Link structure than what Nexus is now.

Example (For Elys Universal Silent Voice):
(Old style - Broken):
http://oblivion.nexusmods.com/mods/16622

(New style - Working):   https://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/16622

But MOSTLY accurate.

As to the instructions that come with the LAPF package, that too suffers that fate.  The instructions that are included in the LAPF download have out-of-date URLs that should be corrected.

But if you are interested, I have this:

https://www.loverslab.com/topic/21241-lapf/page/59/#comment-3570818

On this page I basically posted a slightly tweaked edition of the instructions that comes with LAPF, the links corrected to current Nexus Mods standard.  Consider looking at both, though I just use the base installation as comes with LAPF itself.

Do remember:  Do not install Oblivion in any Program Files path that the Installation suggests.   And my instructions includes a snippet for Steam users that the original set did not include (as steam wasn't an issue then).

This Guide still relevant right ?

If you want MBP  ( about 15 esm/esp for races you maybe never use. Ok it also add new eyes and hair for vanilla races , but this causes conflicts with some stand alone race mods ( if you want to use some ) )

So yes, right guide to install it with MBP.

BUT not  number 13 +. That is old Loves. You need new new LAPF.

Only the bare minimum to be able to play Lovers/LAPF  see my yellow Link below , in my signature.

Can i use Mod Organizer 2 with your guide ? I've been using that.

Yes of course. Wrye Bash , OBMM , TESMM , manually or MO2.  Not Vortex !

I never used MO2 and can not help with tips.

Things like OBSE and OBSE plugins, Stutter Remover, EngineBugFixe,  MenuQue, . . . you should allways install manually.

There is

https://www.loverslab.com/topic/50847-anatriaxs-guide-to-morroblivion/

a guide with a lot of more Mods.  You can ignore the Morrowind stuff and all Mods you don't want or like. But there are some MO2 tips

Small question: does it make sense to install the "Ragdolls for Oblivion" mod, or does "Lovers Creatures" make it pointless?

With LoversCreatures2 you can use it

With LoversCreatures2 and LoversBitch you can not use dogs ragdolls skeleton

With LoversCreatures2 and the addons from "Creatures Overhaul - Workshop" you can not use ragdoll skeleton for all creatures from the "Creatures Overhaul - Workshop"

With LoversCrestures2.5 :  are all or almost all addons from the "Creatures Overhaul - Workshop"  included so you can not use the ragdoll skeletons.

Or easy: you unpack "Ragdalls for Oblivion" in a folder and then you install manually every creature skeleton in your game with LoversCreatures2 /2.5  and all other Lovers creatures Mods and addons already installed.   If you want to install the ragdoll Baliwog skeleton and you see  in meshes\creatures\Baliwog a skeleton .nif in your game you do not install the ragdoll skeleton.

If there is no skeleton.nif in a creature folder you can install the ragdoll skeleton.

NEVER install human skeletons ! LAPF use a own skeleton  ( meshes\characters\_1stPerson\skeleton.nif  and meshes\characters\_male\ skeleton.nif and skeletonbeast.nif  )

The LAPF sex animations will not work right and you get penis and butt stretching all over the screen. And maybe breast stretching... if the human ragdoll skeletons are not BBB .

Only LAPF skeletons have penis and butt bones.

You should always check animation, armor/clothes and race mods before you install them! If there are skeletons, delete them. Never overwrite the LAPF skeleton.

if you did it by accident, read my yellow link below. ( or if you want to install Oblivion without MBP )
