A mod issue somewhere

I recently bought Skyrim through Steam (I got the regular version http://store.steampowered.com/app/72850/The_Elder_Scrolls_V_Skyrim/).I used MO to download mods and installed them. I used the load order that MO suggested and tried to run the game. Ran into a problem (http://www.loverslab.com/topic/86616-skyrim-wont-open-mod-issue/#entry2037362) which I think has been fixed.

 

I ran Skyrim and got a popup from MilkModEconomy telling me that I needed to move it around, I did so and ran the game again. The next issue I noticed was that in the intro scene where the Stormcloak was talking to the horse thief, there was a long pause before their dialogue continued. Didn't really bother me, so I figured "who cares". Then while I was looking around and wishing I could skip through everything, I noticed the horse cart was moving as though it was going some place, but was stationary. Then the cart flipped on its side and bounced a little while the horse was unable to go on its path. We were at the gate and the cart in front of us was trying to go through, but the gate was shut and our horse wanted to go through. I quickly hit Esc to shut the game down and ask for help when I got a small blank popup. I closed it and the game and here I am. Help?

i am not sure how MO shows load orders, but to me your load order looks like a big mess, pls use LOOT to sort it.

 

the vanilla skyrim start is heavily scripted and not compatible with most complex mods, best you use LAL to start your game: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/9557/?

this will give your mods time to load and you can config the MCMs (mod menu)  before the fun starts

(there are other alternative starts for skyrim on Nexus, but me thinks LAL is pretty newbie friendly)

is there a reason why you dont use the newer one?

 

start with less mods so you can find out faster what isnt working for you or what is breaking your game.

don't see anything special in that load order, campfire above dawnguard? so what?

 

helgen start heavily scripted?

the tif to make those npcs talk are nothing

the small script that just make the carriage turn, after the horse turn, it's nothing

but that small script have to wait for the mods quests that have highter priority to finish their stuff

and that's the problem, if the horse go in a direction and the carriage in another... it's crazy carriage time

 

doesn't change much if he use unof skyrim patch or unof legendary patch

 

and there's isn't much mods there

you don't try the helgen start with sexlab mods if you don't give helgen quest priority 100

Like the previous comments, I've had and seen similar issues with a modded Skyrim on the initial game start, which is heavyily scripted.  Many mods will conflict with the intro, like body physics, realistic regdolls and force, HDT stuff, scripted mods, you name it...  If  you are intent on going through the Helgen introduction to the game, the recommendation is to literally disable all mods until after the chopping block sequence, but ideally, once you choose someone to go with and arrive outside Helgen.  Then do a hard save, exit, and enable your mods.

 

If you don't care about the intro sequence or want to skip it - then use a mod as suggestion like Alternate Start.  You can literally start just after the events from the prologue and arrive just outside of Riverwood with this mod, or choose many other starting paths and you don't miss any content, other than the initial 10min of the scripted prologue. 

 

As far so your load order goes... MO isn't that great at sorting with LOOT and it appears that your load is essentially alphabetical order.  You'll be best served by integrating LOOT with MO and running that prior to launching the game.

AS-LAL (alternate start as linked by AWP3RATOR) will in fact let you play thru the whole regular start (cart ride to Helgen and all).  it's greatest advantage is that it starts you in a small

interior cell (in the Abandoned Prison) which will let all your mods (in some cases many many mods) finish their start up procedures, and you can set all your MCM settings before

you actually start the game. you will of course have already made your character by using AS-LAL but will not miss anything at all playing the vanilla start (with the exception of the

guy asking your race, but you will still get his comment on which race you are). total loss of dialogue starting with AS-LAL over regular vanilla start is a single line of dialogue.

"Where are you from" type dialogue asked by the guy before you go to the block.  everything else of the vanilla start is still there is played thru using AS-LAL.

 

as for LOOT it would be better to get the standalone version and add that as an excutable, then run that version from within MO.  the version of LOOT built into MO is out of date and

does not set mod order as well as the standalone version would.
