Of course there's a lot of stereotypes in names of sex positions but even the same simple act of making love when a woman is on top and a man on bottom can get many different animations (look at cowgirl positions done by amra72, l666, k69, master, mary jane, wtw, spaceman and jeza for example). I feel like I am missing many because I dont understand which ones work with Passion. On the passion page it will say all KW animations work with Passion and on the creator post it will say MUST HAVE KW. Well, I don't like KW, so I only have Passion installed. And, therefore, I do not know if there are more that I can install other than whats in my folder and where to get them.

The creators say must have KW as that is the mod they use and are not familiar with Passion or never updated there info page as there was a time when Passion wasn't able to use KW animations but that changed around 2 yrs ago and never realized it's capabilities changed.

All KW animations will work with Passion I use them with it.

Features and what animations it can play are not the same thing. The features is what the settings control.

Thanks for confirming that for me. Currently my sims wont even do it, they get naked, stand near each other then put their clothes back on. Idk what its issue is, surely something is conflicting somewhere.

Yeah that can happen if sims try to pick an object that doesn't have animations. If you put in Amra's KW and L666's KW animations that should stop as those 2 cover nearly all possible woohoo objects. You can throw in Mary Janes and K69's just for good measure to cover all objects.

And when you install those make sure to go into Passions Settings>Positions>Reset Defaults to make sure the animations get added completely.

Some of the animations also have errors in their OKW config file which can also cause Passion to have hiccups Amra72's 1.4a KW animations have the errors fixed or at least almost all of them.

 

On a side note the AW and KW versions are identical difference is KW supports objects and AW doesn't and at least for me anyway the AW versions tend to bug out but that could be my setup causing that. I don't even use the AW versions although some people use both.

And also if you decide to take out the AW versions or any other animations make sure to go into Passions Settings>Positions>Reset Defaults to make sure they get unregistered; otherwise it can cause hiccups since Passion thinks the animations are still there.

Looking at your mods folder screenshot above, everything is clear!

I can see your issue with just a look on the screenshot.

 

Every animation that you have there is for Animated Woohoo (AW)

You also have the Bondage frame from funny face.

This object has Passion interactions (Erotic ->Passion or Solo ) but EVERY ANIMATION EVER MADE FOR THIS OBJECT IS KW ONE!!!!

 

When you click on it and choose passion, it happens the obvious!

Passion gets your sims nude, finds no animation clips for this object and gets them dressed back again!

Have this as a rule of such issues with passion. NO CLIPS - NO HONEY!

 

No matter what animations creators say on their first posts, just download their KW animations and install them. 

You don't need Kinky World to play them with passion.  

 

One last thing that might sound aggressive but it is only my curiosity.

You've post in K69 and Master topics if their animations work or what animations files work with passion mod.

For Master animations you will wait for eternity, because Master is no longer create animations for Sim 3.

I don't know if he's still here on this forum. Same goes for Amra72, L666, Mike24 etc.

 

K69 might log in, after 10 hours or 10 days or when ever he has time, in his every day living as any one of us. 

 

I really don't understand, instead of wait and post and wait and wait for an answer, why don't you download the animations you want, install them and see yourself, if they work or not in few minutes.  If they work, keep them, if not, delete them!

No offense taken, its ok to be aggressive when trying to help, I am struggling here ? I had asked on each thread because I was not sure if the answers would be the same, that ALL KW animations worked. For someone like me with ZERO understanding of how mods and animations are put together, when information is conflicting I do not know how to make the decision on my own of what the answer is. To me, it seems so easy and not too much to ask that the creator update that sentence on their post and say, "These now work for KW AND Passion" that way newbies like me won't get confused.

 

For me, I do not need ALL of the animations really, just a few to make the storyline play out. If I can get all the right ones, it would be nice but I just get so confused looking for the right download, the newest download etc. Busting the town brothel is one of the jobs my law enforcement sim is trying to be known for, but if I can't get the animations to work he can't catch them in the act & do the bust. Also I am having trouble with the fact that I ONLY want the public woohoo/passioning to happen on THAT lot, not all lots in town. I don't think the mod is capable of this yet. 

So answer to your question on why not just download the animations I want, I ended up doing that but it takes more than a few minutes, it takes about 20 to load up the game, then if it doesn't work I quit out and it takes another 20 to load it again. If there are animations I do not have, I don't know where to get them. Last night I updated a few so here is my new list. See the L666 AW one I've got... I don't see anything newer to get. If there are newer ones, I would appreciate finding them.

What was happening was the sims would not change position. They were stuck one way forever. In the settings I did not know whether it asked me how long in sim minutes or real world minutes so I think I had one animation playing too long. These details are important to know when setting it up. but there are no instructions so I had to spend time trying to figure it out.

If that's a screenshot of your mods folder you can take the Read This file out of there it's not a mod and who knows what kind of weirdness it can cause being in there.

OK, lets start then.

What I quote above was my idea of Sims 3 when I first start play with it.

It's absolutely wrong. Sim 3 it self affects whole Town. The game handles more than 200 NPCs and their story progression.

So there is no mod capable, that can do something only for a household and not the whole Town.

 

The animations are made the same way for AW or KW. The difference is that AW animations where the first and that's make them oldest. When Oniki Kay started KW she made an advanced XML system that a mod can read and play them. This XML system can use animations in more furniture objects cars etc. Any mod that can read this XML system can play these animations.

KW animations can hold objects in sims hands such as dildos, whips etc when AW XML system has nothing of them.

Some animations creators such as Amra72 and L666 started their animations with AW and later they converted them to KW by writing a KW XML.

Both AW and KW animations of these creators are the same with the difference that in KW animations they add objects in sims hands.

 

This means, that if you have animations from them in both versions (AW/KW) you will see an animation that a sim holds some object and then again the same animation that the sim holds nothing.

 

Because of the advanced XML system of KW I suggest to download KW animations instead of AW.

Download AW only for creators that have no KW conversions.

As a matter of fact EVERY AW animation is Converted to KW and you will find them in the first post (AW/KW conversions)

 

I suggest to use those links below and download those animations to use with passion

Haha yeah I know its not a mod, I just figured it was not causing any issues and I may need that info later so I didn't kick it out. I will now just in case there is some havoc to be wreaked with it. I am having a box pop up when I load the game, saying I am missing files, but I see these files there. This is probably not even a feature I would use since my sims never watch TV, but the error box is irritating. What can I do to rid of it?

LOL! What more you can than what the message says!

Download them!

Look at the first post of the topic and go to the link(s) to download the channels.

If you decide to download them, go to moodlets and activate woohoo, libido.

This setting is disabled by default.

If you don't want it at all, remove the Custom Tv Channels  package.

It's a passion expansion mod.

Well, it seemed straightforward until I looked in the file and saw that I have the channel file. I thought that meant I had them so I was left confused. Now I see, according to you, I would have to go and fetch a separate file to go with the Tv Channel one Passion comes with. I guess I am just used to everything flowing and being intuitively organized. That does not happen on this forum lol. But that's ok, nobody has time for that. 

 

I dont really need this feature, honestly, I just hate having that thing pop up so I will just remove that file.

Even though there are links mentioned about video channels at the first post of the topic, there is no way to do everything by my self and make everything, the most understandable to any one that might visit the forum and at least, reads.

Many questions are posted the same over and over again, even if the question is answered at the first posts of the topic or 1-2 posts above or below.

And since many times I found even my self doing the same, I can't blame that.

We usually seek an answer and we get very tired to reed things that have nothing to do with our search.

That's not any forums issue, I guess.

 

Sure your sims might not watch TV but most sims in your Town do!

Those sims invite your sims to parties and in their parties they watch TV automatically.

Or your active sim can open a TV, watch a custom TV channel and Ask any NPC to watch TV with your sim.

 

In both cases something happens with passion autonomy and libido.

What happens?

I leave it up to you, to find out!

Why?

You want to disable something that you don't even know nor even see it! 

 

For me, to make an external expansion and 8 custom TV channels with 101 videos, 413 Mb was not a matter of ....

... I had nothing else to do!

Hello ,your mod is great.but i think two mod related sex are too much.passion and kinky ,why dont you try something else for sims3? İ want to see different things in sims 3?maybe sims could get arousal animations when they need sex and i want to see being able to modulate sims walking styles just like sims 4.or getting sims new traits.

So you're against people having choices? You're free to choose which mod you prefer and just ignore the one you don't want to use. There's more than enough room on this forum for 2 sex mods if you don't like it too bad.

 

Passion started off as Animated Woohoo and is the older of the 2 and perfectly stable. Whereas KW has been in an alpha state for 3 years and highly unstable. So why don't you go back and play the unstable alpha mod KW which will sooner or later break your save and we'll continue using Passion without our saves getting broken and have better game performance to boot.

Sorry,but im not english.im not the appropriate one who you may want to quibble.i have difficulty to explain myself while speaking english.i didnt say passion was unnecessary.these are my idea.if twilighstorm wants,he would make this.if he doesnt,he wouldnt.but i really want to see sims 3 is in specialties.

You should clic on the "partner" sim(s) and you will have in the menu "switching with. If you clic on the active sims (the one you control), switching will not appear in the menu.

Event though Blackstar told Namarus it was a misunderstanding, I think it could be interesting to clarify 2 big differences between these two mods :

1. One is free, the other is a patreon (should pay for new releases)

2. Their main objective is different as Passion will focuse on a smooth game and Nraas relationship.

3. Sure, it would be good to developp passion. If my suggestions don't match the point 2, they should be given up.

Proposals :

 

Top, bottom and outits are mentionned in the OKW. Could it be possible passion checks and attribute naked clothes as mentionned in the okw

 

In bed or in couch woohoo appear in the romantic menu. It means sims remains in the bed or in couch. TwillightStorm, told me that if  Autonomous is set to 80 or more. Erotic position can follows a kiss or a make up with sims remaining in the bed. But it does not work for me.

i have do the same way as you said but the animations is look strange, the both sims is use same animation, two people in one place.
