Redgmr Posted July 21, 2012 Posted July 21, 2012 OK, so I'm getting the same problems this guy had; http://www.loverslab.com/showthread.php?tid=8987 the first pic; I can get my character and anyone else to have sex, buuuut my character turns to that and is that when naked. I've installed BnB, Type 6, Type 3M (as suggested here http://www.loverslab.com/showthread.php?tid=4768). I looked abit and honestly I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong; Load order is; DeadMoney.esm FalloutNV.esm Sexout.esm SexoutCommonResources.esm The Mod Configuration Menu.esp SmallerTalk.esp SexoutSex.esp Any help would be appreciated and welcome!
prideslayer Posted July 21, 2012 Posted July 21, 2012 You have BnB *and* Type6 *and* Type3M installed? This isn't some hillbilly modding convention, no turducken. One body mod per gender at a time please.
zippy57 Posted July 21, 2012 Posted July 21, 2012 Those are three options, not requirements. Choose one.
Redgmr Posted July 21, 2012 Author Posted July 21, 2012 You have BnB *and* Type6 *and* Type3M installed? This isn't some hillbilly modding convention' date=' no turducken. One body mod per gender at a time please. [/quote'] LOL, sorry I ment I've tried them all and got the same error. I'm currently using Type 3M, I may be abit dumb but I'm not that dumb.
prideslayer Posted July 21, 2012 Posted July 21, 2012 You must have not uninstalled one of them. It looks like you have parts of a bunch of different bodies installed. Start over, and if you're not using FOMM, starting over involves running the steam cache validation for FONV, and then installing FOMM.
Redgmr Posted July 21, 2012 Author Posted July 21, 2012 Been using FOMM. OK so I uninstalled all mod/mod related files (meshes, textures, Sexout introduced files aswell) Ran FOMM, no mods on, just had DeadMoney.esm and FalloutNV.esm, checked cache using Steam, everything was fine. Reintroduced the Type 3M mesh/textures - Ran FOMM to reinstall the Sexout Core AND Data, ran game and same deal.
KainsChylde Posted July 21, 2012 Posted July 21, 2012 As nice as it looks, I have never been able to get 3m to work right. I stick with Blackblossoms Beware of Girl Type 3 installer. Thats the only body mod other than BNB (hate the skanky outfits everywhere) I've been able to get to work consistently.
prideslayer Posted July 21, 2012 Posted July 21, 2012 I've used Type3, Type3M, Type3F, Type6, and TypeN all without problems. Redgmr you should have used FOMM to install the body as well, did you? Did you also delete everything you installed previously, and I mean *everything*? If you're not sure just delete everything in the data directory and then rerun the cache validator. You'll have to reinstall NVSE and the NVSE Extender after this as well.
Redgmr Posted July 21, 2012 Author Posted July 21, 2012 Deleted everything in data... waiting on Steam to bring it back. Then I'll do the NVSE again. Also, you can use FOMM to install Type 3M?... The same one from Loogie's 'How To install'? Huh.. it's just a mesh, you can't just put it in the same file in Data? Seems abit odd but I'll try it. Thanks for the help though, I appreciate it.
Redgmr Posted July 21, 2012 Author Posted July 21, 2012 Beware of Girl bodytype had the appropriate files to an install via FOMM, however when I click [Tools] on the menu bar then Click [Archive Invalidation] on this menu it's always checked; I can click it get 'Remove archive Invalidation?'; and go back to turn it on and it's still checked. I'm assuming this is why Beware of Girl isn't working for me; and before I get asked, I didn't even try a different body mod after the DATA file was reinstalled via steam.
Redgmr Posted July 21, 2012 Author Posted July 21, 2012 ***UPDATE*** I thought I had the fix by following; "Once installed, go to Documents\My Games\ FalloutNV and right click the Fallout doc. Look at Properties, if it is Read Only uncheck it. Open the doc and Ctrl+f. Find SInvalidationFile. Change the [Archive] block to look like this: [Archive] SInvalidationFile= iRetainFilenameOffsetTable=1 iRetainFilenameStringTable=1 iRetainDirectoryStringTable=1 bCheckRuntimeCollisions=0 bInvalidateOlderFiles=1 bUseArchives=1 SArchiveList=Fallout - AI!.bsa, Fallout - Misc.bsa, Fallout - Voices1.bsa, Fallout - Sound.bsa, Fallout - Textures.bsa, Fallout - Textures2.bsa, Fallout - Meshes.bsa In the same folder find the FalloutPrefs doc. Again, look at Properties, if it is Read Only uncheck it. Open the doc and Ctrl+f. Find SInvalidationFile. Change the [Archive] block to like you did for the Fallout doc. Now go to Program Files\Steam\steammaps\common\fallout new vegas and open the Fallout_default config doc. Change the [Archive] block like you did for the Fallout doc. Once all of that is done, open the FOMM. Go to Tools and select Archive Invalidation from the drop down menu. Toggle archive invalidation on and off and then leave it ON. Now load the game and play. " HOWEVER; after doing so everything turned purple and/or overall wonky. Sigh- guess I'll try it again.

[/quote'] type3m is not a complete mesh & textures release like BOG T3 or dimonized or whatever. It's a supplement; you need to install it over something else that already has T3 textures. Install another T3 mod, then overwrite the femaleupperbody.nif with T3M's. Beware of Girl bodytype had the appropriate files to an install via FOMM' date=' however when I click [Tools'] on the menu bar then Click [Archive Invalidation] on this menu it's always checked; I can click it get 'Remove archive Invalidation?'; and go back to turn it on and it's still checked. Do you run FOMM as administrator? It may something like that.
Redgmr Posted July 21, 2012 Author Posted July 21, 2012 I did run FOMM as administrator, what ended up happening is I had to maunually go to three INI files to fix it however, thankfully I posted what exactly I did, now everything works....except my character is seemingly on drugs because people are purple textures move... it's a wild bug with the only thing I'm trying out for the first time- Beware of Girl, and again, I did install that mod via FOMM.

[/quote'] Do you have a "Fallout - AI!.bsa" in your data folder? If not, that's likely what's screwing things up, although it should rectify itself by doing the AI toggle in FOMM (although, normally, you don't have to bother with it). I hear NMM screws things up big time, so even if you're not using it now, it might have done damage before if you've ever used it. So... maybe get rid of it if you have it, make sure none of your ini's are read-only, re-install FOMM, make sure AI is toggled on, see what happens?
Redgmr Posted July 21, 2012 Author Posted July 21, 2012 Never had NMM, Fallout - AI!.bsa is there.. Ah-I'll go change those three INI files back... had them so I could fix them and didn't set them back, Let's see how this works..
Redgmr Posted July 21, 2012 Author Posted July 21, 2012 The plot thickens, while I did revert the INI files and make them read-only, I loaded into the game with the same purple people I left... On a hunch I tried to change the UI color from Amber to Blue, it worked but I got the following message; "Settings will not be saved because storage device is not selected". What? I'm on a PC... ****EDIT**** After uninstalling Beware of Girl VIA FOMM and trying to load the game I got the SAME GLITCH; purple people, shifting textures, etc. Also a dog that is wearing wood-floor camo. sigh... I'm going to have to delete and reinstall all this crap arn't I? ***********Edit...again **************** using FOMM uninstalled all mods-same graphical glitch; ALSO WORTH MENTIONING Since making the INI files read-only again FOMM can no longer flip Archive Invalidation on/off. *Only the Fallout.ini needs to be not read-only for FOMM to Archive Invalidation.
DoctaSax Posted July 21, 2012 Posted July 21, 2012 The plot thickens' date=' while I did revert the INI files and make them read-only, I loaded into the game with the same purple people I left... On a hunch I tried to change the UI color from Amber to Blue, it worked but I got the following message; "Settings will not be saved because storage device is not selected". [/quote'] I think I said none of them should really be read-only. Chances are the game's trying to write to your prefs.ini what your preferred color is, but isn't allowed to. Not that it really ought to matter: the FOMM install script edits those inis for you to point to the AI.bsa (I think). I know it's not the most popular mod tool in the world, but wrye flash also handles archive invalidation, with the same AI.bsa file. If you can get it installed, even if just for that, it might fix what somehow got broken. Also, if you have your steam folder installed under Program Files, UAC might be playing up. I've had it under C:\Games since I moved on from XP. Other than that, I'm fresh out of ideas.
Redgmr Posted July 21, 2012 Author Posted July 21, 2012 I just downloaded Wrye Flash NV, I'm assuming there's more to it then what I got...if not I have no idea what I'm doing now.
DoctaSax Posted July 21, 2012 Posted July 21, 2012 I just downloaded Wrye Flash NV' date=' I'm assuming there's more to it then what I got...if not I have no idea what I'm doing now. [/quote'] It needs some Python stuff that you can get from here: http://oblivion.nexusmods.com/mods/22368 (the wrye python 06 pack) when all of that pack is installed, you copy the "data" & "mopy" folders to your game's root directory. Fire it up with Wrye Bash Launcher.pyw so it can get its bearings. Remember I'm not sure installing it all will actually help with your problem, but it's still less annoying to give it a try than completely wiping FNV from your pc and starting from scratch. I'm done for the day. If that didn't help, you'll need to scour the Beth & Nexus forums for anything related to archive invalidation.
Redgmr Posted July 21, 2012 Author Posted July 21, 2012 Thanks for the help but I'm fairly certain it was an error with the first body mod that caused the texture issues, I deleted the Data file and will be going back to BnB as I'm fairly sure I can make it work, having gone through all of this. I will update this thread later - thank you for your time.
Redgmr Posted July 22, 2012 Author Posted July 22, 2012 Thanks for the support guys! got everything running...but I still need a body type because the Sexout... uh sexsuit? doesn't work or only works for the males? I used the MCM to turn on the sexout sexsuits/bodies and that doesn't work, if anyone has a prefered body type that is trouble free that'd be great! oh and sorry I have no idea how to do the spoiler so hope this helps; the mods I'm running are as follows: FalloutNV.esm DeadMoney.esm Sexout.esm SexoutCommonResources.esm SexoutSlavery.esm SexoutLegion.esm SexoutFiends.esp SexoutNCR.esp SexoutKhans.esp SexoutKings.esp SexoutWorkingGirl.esp SexoutPowderGangers.esp SmallerTalk.esp The Mod Configuration Menu.esp Total active plugins: 14 Total plugins: 14
Redgmr Posted July 22, 2012 Author Posted July 22, 2012 Goood news everyone~! I got everything working (and then some). Thanks to Prideslayer, Zippy57, Kainschilde209, and last but not least, DoctaSax. Took some problem solving skills to sort the finer details out but without you guys I would have gave up on it; thanks again!
Halstrom Posted July 22, 2012 Posted July 22, 2012 [ spoiler ] There is also a little exlimation mark tag for spoilers, but it's only in reediting an existing post, not new posts it seems. Umm nope it's gone completely by the looks.
