You have some pretty good quests and the mod dialogues are well written, in the sense that it doesn't feel like you're playing simply a sex mod and the characters feel like vanilla NPCs or turning Skyrim into a bdsm/slavery world like others mod do. I also like Bestial Essence, since it's one of the best written quests out here and that also fits very well with vanilla Skyrim - but as the name implies it is more focused on bestiality (you can use fade to black if you don't want to see it) - but there are NPCs encounters too. This. Btw, The Ancient Profession works well under LE, see hints on the download page.

lelelehue Posted February 3, 2022 Posted February 3, 2022 I'm having some issues with Part 6, where you sleep with the imperial soldier to get in on the convoy to Ivarstead. I undress my character, it removes player controls, soldier says his line, it fades to black, and nothing happens, just black screen. The only thing I can do is interact with console. Any ideas what could be causing that?

Let me jump in and tell you all what's been going on with the v1.2 translation Ever since the beta began, I've been having a lot of difficulty getting the latest version to work. After doing a lot of digging, what I discovered is that xTranslator actually corrupts .esp files when I use it to export a translation. The corruption appears to take the form of single-byte errors that are introduced into records when the modified file is written to disk. I have tested multiple versions of xTranslator, on both LE and SE, and what I have determined is that even simply loading one of the original Russian mod files, making no changes whatsoever, and re-saving it as a new file introduces hundreds of byte errors (nearly 2kB of data goes missing, somehow). Loading the game with the original .esp file active seems to work perfectly, while using the corrupted version causes bugs like scenes breaking, AI packages failing to run, crashes, etc. At this point my faith in xTranslator is all but gone, so I am working on writing my own application that will allow me to directly control things like how the files are parsed and written. Fortunately I had already done some coding on a .esp parser... I managed to translate about 40% of the text before the corruption issues became too difficult to work around. Once I get my code working well enough that I can get back to translating, it should go a lot faster (since the mod will actually work) but there's no real way to know before I get there. I'm hoping that I can get it all done by the end of this month, because otherwise I run the risk of not having the public version done when the Patreon beta starts. The issues that I've been having just provided an impetus for me to actually finish this project that I've been procrastinating on for forever. As nice as xTranslator has been for working on Thief up to this point, it has some oversights that really make it a lot harder to actually translate a mod than it could be. Until this version, I've used six different tools to actually do what I do: xTranslator for modifying record and header strings TES5Edit for modifying quest alias and property data, understanding conditions and things like globals, and for other simple .esp edits; The Construction Set for looking at scene layouts and conditions Champollion for decompiling scripts A hex editor for examining raw byte data Notepad++ I have also written a few other simple bits of code that I use to perform some analysis when there's a new version, which help me with things like counting the number of new lines vs changed lines, and identifying lines that have been changed. Right now, in order to look at a scene I have to load the CS, load the .esp, wait five minutes and hope it doesn't crash, then finally open the quest and get the list of quest scenes. This can only be done with the LE CS because the SSE version straight-up refuses to load the scene data without the source files. With the scene viewer open, I still have to keep xTranslator open on the other monitor to actually make changes to the strings. TES5Edit has to be open as well because the scene viewer doesn't tell me what any of the global values being used as conditions are. If I need to know what script is run by a given dialog line or scene stage, the CS doesn't tell me because it doesn't recognize the existence of the decompiled scripts. Instead I have to use TES5Edit to look up the scene stage index/dialog record, check the name of the script and the function that is called, then search the source directory with its 5000 files to find the right script, open it in notepad, then search within notepad for the function name. This shit takes forever. I end up writing huge documents to keep track of it all. By writing my own tool, I can take the bits of each of these that I need and put them all together, in one place. I can open up the mod, load a scene, and see all of the dialog, conditions, scripts, etc. in one place instead of five places.
