I know people are going to give me shit for saying this, but I'm just going to say it. I find it interesting how people can post images that are basically the same thing as everyone else, but one person gets more upvotes than the other. I mean, all people post here are pictures of hot guys and girls 95% of the time. So, I don't understand how someone can get more upvotes than someone else for posting practically the same thing as everyone else. It's like two bakeries that make the same thing, but one is more successful despite being no different. It's baffling. I see people here who post incredibly well done images, yet they get only 5 upvotes. Then there are others who post equally well done images and get over 10. How does that work?

This is something I never understood either. It's as if some people deliberately only notice certain posts.

It is unnecessary to argue about tastes, everyone is different, but some people's ideal of a woman is more than strange (anime waifu look, unrealistic breast and hip size, disproportionately small head, etc.). I can count on one hand who has a really beautiful and realistically feminine character.

I know that the body of my character, Alice, may seem unrealistic. However, I have seen women in real life with bodies like that, so... there's that. That being said, I don't care how many upvotes my pics get. I upload the screenshots and gifs I do for fun. All that has nothing to do with anything. It's just an explanation as to why I do what I do.

The issue I have is that I scroll through the threads here and see many good images that don't get nearly as many upvotes as I think they should. I have the same issue on Nexus. Amazing pics that get nowhere near as many upvotes as other images that have the same amount of quality. It makes no sense.

I don't care about the number of likes either, it bothers me the same as you: some pictures get an unreasonable amount of attention, while others who deserve it just as much don't. 
I also don't understand that one character is popular one week, but the next week the same character, with an equally good image, barely gets attention.

It's one of the reasons I can't stand to look through threads anymore. To see images that people put a lot of love and care into get no attention while others do is irritating. But hey. It is what it is, I guess.

I hear what you're saying. Sometimes I post a pic I'm proud of and really like and it doesn't get much attention, next week I'll make a quick one that is just as good or I might not like as much and it'll get 10+ likes. It is a little odd but at the end of the day I just post for fun and I like seeing what others put out as well. I see it happen sometimes with other really good screenshots that just don't get a lot of likes but I think are fantastic. As for me I just like what is in-line with my tastes usually but sometimes will like something that isn't my cup of tea but I recognize as artistic and well done.

This is exactly what I experience. Among my own pictures, there was one that got 30+ likes, and then the closest picture didn't even get 10, although I think the latter was better. 🤷‍♂️

If that hurt you in some way then your are doing that for the wrong purpose. Just post to express yourself or what you like or think it's fun. It doesn't matter if your preference is realism or anime or 50kg of tits or shemales or whatever. Nobody is gaining thousands of dollars or special rewards because likes, so makes no difference.

I think some pics have more likes depending of people's tastes or when someone is more "older" and post more often, maybe.

I know most people here like to see pics of women getting humiliated and treated like shit, but this is not my thing, so i never post things like that even knowing i will have less likes.

I like to see other people's universes and their expressions, it doesn't matter how they are. Nowadays i like more to see other people also playing the game and having their own experiences than seeing new mods everyday that are basically the same or something useless.

I can understand the frustration for sure but I personally do not post for upvotes or likes. I enjoy posting and doing screenshots simply because it brings me joy. If someone finds joy in my screenshot like I do, then I am happy. If not, I don't let it deter me from doing it. I am very lazy when it comes to likes and I feel bad because I don't want anyone to feel like their work is not appreciated, so I will try to be better myself. I can say that I like pretty much anything posted here, like yours, Crow!

That’s why I post, too. The point I was trying to make was that I feel like many images here don’t get the recognition they deserve. In all reality, I was just saying something that’s been on my mind for awhile.

I think that personally it depends on what purpose you upload your screenshots here on LL, I don't want to offend anyone, much less here everyone is free to like any type of content available on this forum and I mean everything related to what non-consensual or humiliation to waifus

Ami I don't like non-consensual because it is something forced and I don't like that type of content, it is something that is not well regarded for me

Taking as an example what I already mentioned, some people think or not whether what I'm about is right or wrong... they decide what they like and what they don't, there isn't much explanation.

Because, like all things judged on aesthetics, it is down to personal taste and opinion.
Not everyone judges images the same way. Here's a couple of popular sayings that may help.
"Beauty is in the eye of the beholder."
"Art is subjective."
 

But if you still don't get it, post links to two images that you feel are equal but have a large disparity in their upvotes and I am sure people argue the points on both sides for you.

I feel like the point of what I was saying has been largely lost on some people. However, this was expected.

I think it is mostly randomic: lets say you post a gallery in a time slot when no one is around you get no views, and so you get no upvotes, the in the next few hours other people post too then, when a more active time slot arrives, the latest post get more attention because, I guess, few make the effort to scroll through the list of all the lastes content in this thread

 

The worst case is when you post the last content for a page and then, immediately after, someone else post a new content starting a new page: in this case you post is likely to recieve few to none views.

These types of sayings I always thought were kind of silly to lean on. While it's true everyone has their own tastes and one thing that is ugly will be beautiful if viewed through someone else's eyes, art is still a form and as such has certain aspects that objectively have a right and wrong way of being done. If this wasn't the case we wouldn't have art teachers, everyone would just put out whatever they could with their ability and not be given guidance. Movie directors would not be given awards if everything was "subjective" and certain posts in this thread would not have 20+ likes while others have 2. Strictly speaking on screenshots from skyrim, a lot of factors go into it, character design, lighting, background, poses, camera angles, etc. While everyone has their own tastes, all of these things I just listed have a right and wrong way of being done. If a camera angle is weird and the lighting sucks it can be the difference between a 20 likes screenshot and a 6 likes screenshot, I wouldn't call that "subjective".

I never understood this either, I always check the posts I haven't seen yet, and LL even helps with this, because it indicates what I've already seen and what I haven't.
