Darkov Posted December 27, 2016 Posted December 27, 2016 Hello, I have recently installed bodyslide, as it became a requirement for a mod that i use. I have no prior knowledge about bodyslide, but from what i read it's about making different outfits fit on different bodies + adding sliders in the racemenu. The game starts and the sliders work and its good. But when i remove all my clothes in the game, the hands have holes in them: You can see the hands are messed up. If i put on ropes on my hands, it looks okay. I have tried downloading UNP Models and textures, but nothing seems to have an effect. Any ideas, suggestions, solutions on how to fix the hands?
myuhinny Posted December 27, 2016 Posted December 27, 2016 Did you make the hands in bodyslide/outfit studio? If so try replacing the hand nifs with new ones and see if that helps.
Darkov Posted December 28, 2016 Author Posted December 28, 2016 Did you make the hands in bodyslide/outfit studio? If so try replacing the hand nifs with new ones and see if that helps. I have a hand mesh, but when i put it after body slide in the MO load order, this happens only if i remove the clothes, otherwise it looks good: Also, if i put on the rope that goes in the gloves slot, it doesn't fix the bug anymore, but if i put on chest clothing then the hands are okay. It looks like to me, that when i use the hand nifs, i have a model bug, when i do not, i have a texture bug. This is the hand mesh i have: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/30179/? I am really confused where the problem is. I have body slide, doesn't it come with UNP models? It says i need UNP skins, i have the realistic UNP skins installed and i have CBBE installed. I used to only use UNP Skinny before body slide. But the hand mesh works with the basic UNP too. If i put my UNP models after Body Slide in MO, they overwrite body slide, then in addition with the hand nifs, everything looks good, but the sliders in race menu do not work, as i expected. I have not done anything using Body Slide itself, its only there because its a requirement for a mod. I am not supposed to do anything, from what i understand? I also have feet nifs, but those seem to work okay.
Darkov Posted December 28, 2016 Author Posted December 28, 2016 Perhaps i need some other UNP texture? Or another UNP hand .nif ? Does anyone know any i can try?
House of Rahl Posted December 28, 2016 Posted December 28, 2016 i can tell u i run 3 mods. dimonized unp for the textures, bodyslide for the meshes, and xp32 extended for the skeleton. ive come accross this issue where the hand is disconnected or the forarm is too large when it meets the hand a few times while trying to get my mods in order. more often than not for me the forarm is oversized when it reaches the wrist, though i have seen that disconnect a few times as well. i dont know what causes it. like you, i dont have any experience on bodyslide, so havent messed with it much. i suspect however that if ur using a mod specifically for the hand meshes perhaps they dont line up with the ones being provided by the bodyslide. you might consider dropping the hand mesh mod and doing it all through bodyslide directly or keep the mod and edit the body your using in bodyslide to better fit the hands. the latter option likely involves alot more work on your end to keep your hand mod.
House of Rahl Posted December 29, 2016 Posted December 29, 2016 welp ive been fiddling with my load order for the last few days trying to get the custom race im using to work and now im getting the same kinda break in the forearm. its definitely coming from bodyslide. i dont know why, or how to fix it yet but ill keep messing with it. ive decided that bodyslide is just a fucking nightmare. ive spent near a week working on this junk and still dont have a playable game yet. it normally takes me under 2 days to get a game up from scratch without this hdt bull shit.
Andy14 Posted December 29, 2016 Posted December 29, 2016 Hands/Feets you have to create additionally in BodySlide. Choose your preset (same Preset as you use for body and armor) and as Outfit/Body choose the Hands -> Press Build. The last picture is 1stPerson mesh - actually just arms. Is the same Procedure as for hands/feets. A complete set for BodySlide should have 4+n meshes: - body-mesh - hand-mesh - feet-mesh -1stPerson-mesh (can also sometimes be like the body-mesh) - armor-meshes (include the same body)
House of Rahl Posted December 29, 2016 Posted December 29, 2016 i built the body, hands, and feet separately. i even clicked on that build batch and checked the morph box since thats what the guide said that i used to set it up initially. and bam..... it fixed the naked body, seam in the forarm is gone, it also fixed first person view. unfortunatly if im wearing the rags, the issue persist. apperantly i havnet applied the hands mesh to the outfit, is that something that needs to be done through the "outfit studio"? if so can u give us some basic instructions on accomplishing that task? i went through the kajeek and argonian races just as a test; i havent prior to now. both of them also have a seam but only when nude and in third person. first person and clothed their fine. just seems odd the femalebody is having trouble with clothed, and the femalebeastbody is having trouble with nude. either way its the same issue with the forearm.

I hope I have understood the problem correctly. Translate this type of English with Google is almost an adventure - English is not my language. Hand seams when dressed with armors/clothes? Background information: The standard system of Skyrim does not support the body wearing clothes - as in real life. Instead, the Nakedbody-Nif (only body-mesh) is replaced with a Armor-Nif (Armor-mesh and + otherbody-mesh). My guess - you did not build the clothes / armors with BodySlide. For this to work without seams must be fulfilled 2 conditions. 1. The body-mesh in the armor-nif MUST be the same body-mesh as the naked body. If not so - with OutfitStudio can be changed 2. All clothes/armors must be built with BodySlide - similar to Naked Body. By the way: most clothes/armors also have a mesh for 1stPerson - do not forget
Darkov Posted December 31, 2016 Author Posted December 31, 2016 Using the bodyslider makes things worse and i am not really sure how to use it. I pick UUNP Skinny preset then for each of the outfits for UUNP HTD, hands and feet i check to build the morphs and i build a batch. This is what i get in MO after that, only one .nif, no hand or feed .nifs, but i have no idea if thats ok or not: I assume the other folders under it are for the outfit groups that i have pre-installed from the mods. The breasts are messed up now, they are tiny, as if its a child and i can't change their side with the sliders. Both ways in the sliders make them smaller. And i still have the original bug with the textures of the arms, i tried another texture set, but there is no difference. The texture bug appears when i am naked, or clothed, so it doesn't matter if i use body slide to build the outfits, it happens when i am naked. I am not using any custom hand .nifs . I have no idea what to do to fix this right now and i don't really have time, might take me a week before i can figure it out. Which model type is the base for bodyslider? I will just fit everything to it and not use the sliders for other model types.
Andy14 Posted December 31, 2016 Posted December 31, 2016 This is a Tri (a Morph), not a Nif. You start BodySlide in MO or separat? I not using MO, but i think you must SKSE, FNIS and BodySlide in MO embed and start from there.
