Break Undies armors.

I personally don't use BU Dungeon because it bugs out on me. Really doesn't bug me either way though.

I am leaning towards chopping that whole deal out of it as it the amount of scripts inside this thing are a bit daunting. Unfortunately many of them are still in Japanese or are gibberish. It will speed up thing greatly if I don't have to have or use them and can just treat things like a normal clothing mod.

On the plus side it give folks an easier time to add more to it. If I don't hear a large outcry I am going to take this route.

I'm not sure if anyone else has noticed or said anything about it, but in this pack their is an issue with the tona's armor. I kept getting this long pink anytime I would try to equip it. I found out that apparently it is missing a texture file for the pendant in this pack. So you have to download the original tona underwear and put the missing ornament texture in. The pink line is gone now.

Yea there are multiple problems with some of the armors in that pack. I am very slowly working towards coming out with an fix version for this. It will have most of the current files and even a bit of stuff from the Hentai mania bu replacer. It just seems to take forever to load the armors into both the CS and the ini.....:(

Ok, I have 80 armors (some are recolors) loaded into an esp and am working on putting the ini information together and then I will need to zip it all up and have a few people test it. The armors will be in chests in the Testing Hall. To get there just use COC testinghall in the console. I am hoping to have it all done and uploaded late tonight (about 8-9 hours from now).

Anybody want to volunteer to test it when I have it ready. I want to do a limited release to make sure the obvious bugs are worked out and then throw it up for everyone. This will require BU_Framework v2 to use. You will not need BU dungeons at all. I have included pretty much all of the armors that were in the bu merge file as well as a few mashups of various armors I have assembled. All but a very few in this pack are both BBB/BU so as armor breaks you should see some bouncing. Most cups sizes are D to H (mostly H). This will also need growlf's universal skeleton.

Just post here if you are willing to volunteer to test. By testing I am need you to grab the armors and make sure they show up properly and then break them!

Once this is tested and complete I will start working on a 2nd pack that will hopefully include every single BU armor that remains (like the hentai bu armors).

I'll happily rebreak my Oblivion install to test this. Sign me up!

I am putting the pack up in this thread: http://www.loverslab.com/showthread.php?tid=10814

Unfortunately you will have to re-download the meshes and textures. I removed much of the junk that was in the merged BU equipment mod so it is only two files. It still unpacks to over 1GB. :(

I am still working on the ini and I will post it separately as an attachment when I have it done (about halfway done now).

Would it not be sensible to put a FAQ at the very beginning of this thread?

I know this stuff is on the rather demanding side but still some hints to get a quick and easy grasp on it would probably be highly appreciated by many. Information is strewn widely across this rather large thread and for the unexperienced it can be difficult to find out what is meant exactly.

E.g:

- How to enter new BU armors into the ini file

- How to get NPCs to wear BU armors

- How to find out the ref of a certain armor to enter it into the ini file

Who knows more themes?

Added a quick and dirty info on how to get BU armors working to the OP.

As to how to get NPC's to wear BU armors......well I am not going to add that one I don't think. If folks can't figure out how to give NPC's armor or clothes then I am not sure they are ready for these type of mods. That is just my thought. If you want to write up a quick guide for distributing NPC armors via the companion mod of your choice then feel free to and I will update the OP with it. :)

There is a butt load more information contained in the 50plus pages of this thread but I think the quick and dirty tutorial that I put up will give them the gist of it. Let me know if you think anything should be added or changed.

Thanks,

Greg

Now this is precisely what I (and probably many others) have been looking for. Some clearly written step by step instructions how to do it.

Adding lines into the .ini file may be tedious, but always remember those keyboard shortcuts Strg + C and strg + V which are your friends. Mark the 2 lines you want to copy, copy and paste them, then change the name of the *.nif file, it´s just one number.

Thanks a huuuge lot!

How do you convert a BU armor into a regular armor?

If the breakable armor comes with an entry in the BreakUndies.ini, then just remove that armor from the file (or comment it out) and it will no longer break (change). It will still wear out but won't change appearance.

If however the armor does not come with a BreakUndies.ini (or a code for it) then you will have to open the esp file for that armor and edit the script. It would probably be easier to just add the armor to another esp than mess with scripts.

Now if you want to up the durability (most are set pretty low) you will need to open the esp with the construction set and change it from there.

So, a question:

When I'm adding an article of clothing to BU, I use this chunk of text:

;set aaBUData.DATA to sv_Construct "BreakUndies\ShortDress\ShortDressE1.nif"

;SetStage aaBUDataIni 10

;set aaBUData.DATA to sv_Construct "BreakUndies\ShortDress\ShortDressE2.nif"

;SetStage aaBUDataIni 10

;set aaBUData.DATA to sv_Construct "BreakUndies\ShortDress\ShortDressE3.nif"

;SetStage aaBUDataIni 10

;set aaBUData.DATA to sv_Construct "BreakUndies\ShortDress\ShortDressE4.nif"

;SetStage aaBUDataIni 10

;set aaBUData.ID to GetFormFromMod "BreakUndiesEquip.esp" "00001000"

;SetStage aaBUDataIni 30

copy it over and over underneath what is already in the BreakUndies.ini file, replacing the bolded parts with the mesh path, the name of the esp, and the form ID for the armor (ignoring the first two characters), yes?

Now, my big question is: Can I specify an esm file as a source? That is, could I use BU on vanilla armor? (Admittedly with already altered meshes and texture)

Edit: I can probably make the new meshes by ripping things apart in Nifskope, so I don't think that's anything to worry about.

Edit2: Another question! Can I specify more than one armor, for each set of BU armor changes? Like with the different Amber armors, that's, what, 30 different versions?

Edit3: I should think more before submitting. How would I specify which gender the armor works for?
