I think you are looking at too biased of a record of history to make such claims about medieval clothing.

 

Consider, for example, the Sistine Chapel: I doubt you can convince anyone that that is an artifact of a culture which disapproved of revealing clothing.

 

 

Well I think there is a gain of truth to what you are saying.

 

I still don't think it was common to have women dress like sluts unless they were prostitutes. Everything I have read about Roman culture says that women didn't dress like sluts. Romans may have loved sex but they believed sex damages a women if it is out of wedlock, and as such their women wore modest clothes. Virginity mattered to Roman society, and dressing like a whore would give the wrong idea. Not like women had a choice since there were pretty much objects owned by their father or husband.

 

I get it, this is a game and people want T and A. Funny enough the unrealistic clothing I was talking about wasn't the bikini bottoms, but the modern styled strapless dress. 

 

 

Eh... Rome was big on torturing and killing people. That whole nailing people crosses thing, for example. Or consider the military discipline technique "decimation" (aka: killing every 10th soldier in that unit). But not a lot of detail survives from way back then which makes total historical accuracy a rather silly goal.

 

Still, from what we know about people, I imagine most of the time things would be rather boring - just day-to-day routine that people seem to like to do. I very much doubt that the actual kill rate approaches anything like what we see in Skyrim or any other fighting game.

 

And, technically, that goes for sex also - the actual sex part of sex occupies only a few minutes for many people and most people do not have the physical fitness for those few minutes to be much of their day.

 

But... seriously... if this bothers you, maybe you should be going out and talking to your neighbors and helping them do chores or something. Now *that* would be realistic. And might even make your life actually better.

Ugh, that's annoying. The encryption software seems to cause that issue.

I hope other virus scanners haven't flagging it as a false positive as well =(

I liked it.

 

• The sister is pretty and I like the fact she looks 18. Most games portray 18 year olds as super mature looking in their mid twenties.

• The boy is acceptable too. He actually looks a little scrawny for someone who is practicing combat and doing manual labor, but it's not breaking immersion so i'm ok with it.

• The forest map needs to be slightly edited, some squares are invisbally blocked when they shouldn't be. I see why you want people to use the mouse since it auto ignores these mistakes.

• The map is large but feels lifeless. I think you need more random NPCs around town.

• I like the plot so far. There is a mystery, and we are slowly decoding it.

• I will be honest, when the sister is kidnapped it makes me wonder. It is the PERFECT opportunity to have rape, but I caution using it. It is hard to use rape, some will hate it no matter what. Personally I like it when it is used accurately where the victim doesn't enjoy it. Making a women enjoy rape breaks my immersion 99.99% of the time and I stop playing/reading/watching whatever the media is.  All I ask is that you make things make sense. If the other towns women was raped but not the sister then you need to explain why. 

• The strip poker feels really awkward to be honest. I want an excuse to see the sister but this reads as odd to me. Just have the women striped named in the jail IMO.

• I am surprised that there is so little sexyness in the game. I expected a town whore, while the brother couldn't afford her, it would give you an excuse to see tits and ass. Pacing is important, you can't show all the goods upfront but if you don't show enough then people might pass the story by.

• I personally was having lag during the night outside for some reason. The shading was rough on my system I guess, not sure why.

• I know it's still early but I really want to see more scenes with the sister, she has so little screen time.

• I was getting a game killing error when I would chop to much wood ore mine tooo much ore. I would get an achievement then get a game ending error.

Overall this has REALLY great potential! Great character appearance, decent map, and a story which could be good. I hope you keep up the good work.

v0.02 Which is currently exclusive to Patrons, will be free to download, as soon as the next version releases. I'll make sure to update here when it's available. v0.02 is currently all about the sister character. I won't spoil anything, but in v0.02, the (optional) corruption of the sister starts, and some of the things that didn't make sense to you, will start to make sense (like why she's playing the "awkward" cup game with the other girl, Selsa).

 

I personally dislike games that go full-blown rape scene at the start of the game. I prefer some foreplay, so don't expect a full blown rape scene yet, and definitely not one where an innocent (virgin!) girl like her would enjoy it. There are a quite a few scenes with her in v0.02 though.

 

All of the "sexyness" in the public release are currently optional. Like the scene with the blacksmith's wife, and you can even skip the cup mini game.

 

If you're on a computer/laptop with an integrated and dedicated GPU, please ensure that it uses the dedicated one. It makes a huge difference.

If I could make a suggestion: portable bedrolls or a "build campsite" option.  Towards the end of the public release I needed to wait about two days to meet someone.  The only way to progress time is to sleep in a bed.  The only beds I could find were in the starting village or the old man's hut.  Once you sleep there you have to travel through 4 or 5 empty map zones to get back to the location where you are supposed to be meeting.  If you're too early you have to repeat the trip the next day.

 

The fishing minigame:  there needs to be a way to gather bait or 3 coppers should buy you about 1000 bait.  My poor old reflexes aren't up to the challenge.  I'll never catch a fish without a whole lot of practice or a larger target zone

There are signposts to the left of your house and the church which allow fast travel.  That said, given that you supposedly had to flee the village it is strange that the game basically requires you to return there to sleep.

Great idea with the portable bedroll. It may need some restrictions, but I think we could make that work. I'm definitely planning to add a place you can sleep in every region/town. In the later update for example, you will have a place to sleep inside the church (spoiler alert) .

I've never seen that issue before, and I have no clue to be honest. Does it happen when you start a new game, or when you load an older save file? Is it the same version that is posted here (v0.012)?

I was hoping the torch would light the area around me as I walked but no. it would be helpful. And if it lasted until I leave the map.

I am a slow walker!

 

I got past 2 wolf fights & found the exit north west BUT I can't get to it! Is this the end so far?

 

I get SO close to the exit but can't get past the trees!
