Regarding the groundhog day bug, I did see on the EA forum that some folks are getting it without mods installed.  I think I saw that the forum moderator was able to replicate the problem as well, so...?  If somebody knew exactly what's causing it, I'm sure it would be fixed by now.  It was a risky move on EA's part making those big changes to established gameplay.  Still, it could also be an interaction with a mod or mods too.  I did see that MCCC updated yesterday as well, and that could be a contributing factor.  A lot of people use MCCC.  It may very well be the most commonly installed mod out there.

For those saying EA is forcing TD hand on teen sex, I have yet to find anywhere where EA has said the teens in TS4 are prepubescent, nor do they even look like it. I dont know too many tweens who have noticeable body hair (arms, legs, etc).

As for those saying that folks who need support are being pushed out? No, maybe if someone (TD?) hadnt changed the title of this thread & had INSTEAD started a new one then folks who still want to discuss this change can, those who need support & DONT want to go to discord could have their own thread.

It's probably a mod that sets aging and immortality that broken, might have  something to do with occult rewards.. I don't know which mod that could be, I'd suggest take out mods that affect those settings and put them back one by one to find the broken one.

Well that's bullshit because TD is saying that high schoolers are prepubescent (!) and EA is  saying they're 16-18, which last I checked, isn't prepubescent. 

That still doesn't excuse the Inappropriate  Unlock which is TD approved, as is MCCC which I believe still allows teen sex. When is he going to ban those?

 

ETA: heck he didn't even ban ItsKatato's Pre-teen mod.

Why prohibit teenage sex? A certain group of people don't like it? That's not an argument.

Well, having tested a little I think that things aren't so bad for teens in WW. The only inconvenience is the trait can't be added automatically by default or gotten automatically at some point via gameplay (the second option would be even more interesting) and we lose acne if choose sex.
So I apologize to Turbo for my previous emotions, I'm really sorry.
Let our teens have sex as they always loved.

iv a;ready told you how to fix the groundhog day bug for the most part ... do not use save and exit ... use save as .... when you come back to the game do not use resume .. load game and click the last save ... it solves every problem bar one ... friendship progress is still borked .....

 

guys stop arguing on here about mods nobody gives a shit .. ppl are just looking for answers of if the game is fixed

This does not work after a certain amount of time, and it is extremely inconvenient even if it does. People are allowed to be upset the bug still exists in the first place and they are allowed to talk amongst themselves about it.

 

However, hopefully it is fixed with Turbo's new update as of this morning. 

 

Does anyone know if the malicious exception code is still in Turbo's mod or if it has since been removed? I do not feel comfortable using a mod that had coding in it deliberately to conflict with another mod and for no other reason. I do not think it is for Turbo to decide what mods others play with and it has already degraded my trust in him, especially if it still exists.

I backed up my game folder originally before updating the game to EA v1.90.XXX.XXXX

I was hoping to not have to roll back at all.

But game v1.90.XXX.XXXX & WW 1.70i realy was not an enjoyable experience overall.

 

Rollback suites me fine due to I'm not ever going to buy EA School DLC and honestly the EA update patch didn't do it for me either.

Adding stupid over abuse of sims constantly using phones was a turn off (even though I used a mod to stop it).

I think the only good thing in the Last 2 EA updates is when your at 3x speed in live mode and the phone rings it doesn't kick you 1x speed.

That's the only positive I liked.

Turbo's the one who shut off teen sex...sort of. That's the point: hypocrisy. Claiming someone else is morally wrong when you don't actually follow your own morals when nobody calls you out for it. 

I think you're having an issue reading what people post, or you just enjoy  projecting.

It doesn't help my save at all. Just going into manage worlds, save or no save, causes everything to reset.

I'm done with that screwy EA update/School DLC and WW 1.70i and it's screwy behaiour for now.

Honestly they are both trash as far as I'm concerned, I tried to love that nerfed WW 1.70i as much as possible, but nah, not worth the effort.

 

My TS4 will be in offline mode indefinitely for now.

I mstill have 170 g ww version and no purchase high school but the groundhog issue is happens.. do you uninstall MCC? I only have ww and MCC plus packages for ww, but no mods...

Y'know if EA or the sims team really wanted to do the whole prepubescent teen schtick with this update and pack they could have added a new life state called young teen to go with young adult and literally none of this would not be going on rn. Because then there would be a very clear difference between pre and post puberty teens. and I would've be 100% fine with ww not touching young teens because then it would actually be really gross.

 

Instead we got a pack that blurs the line and confuses then teen lifestage whether they are minors or not...

 

All this could have been avoided of the sims team or EA made it clear the differences between young and older teens. At this time however i'm just watching what happens now. 

 

Also this whole feud between TD and CN i know nothing about so I'm staying clear of all that.

 

I've also experienced the groundhog day bug though at least once.

No I don't have MCC or WP.

For me I deleted Everything to do with the updated game archive and also everything in \Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4\

 

Restored my old 1.89.214 game backup, restored my backed \Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4\ from before the dodgey EA update, so it's using WW1.70g.

My game is running great, no excessive phone use from sims, save anytime and that save loads exactly like it should, no unexpected resets, no unexpected relationship quirks, applying any attributes & settings in WW is predictable and works, no CAS resets..,

Plain and simple for me 1.89.214/1.70g just works well.

Side note my loading times are definitely better in the 1.89.214 compared to 1.90.XXX

I thought the pre teen mod had it blocked on romance options.  I never downloaded it, but remember seeing it and they mentioned creating their own cute "romance" options or something that wasn't icky.

They're treated as regular teens by the game and any mods

Boo. I'm sorry I wasn't able to help you. Perhaps someone else will come along and take a look at the issues you're experiencing with the game. I'm not great at it, but looks like there's only one topic here that is still making the posts for help hard to catch.

Maybe someone in Nisa's thread will be able to spot it for you too. That one at least is moving more slowly so your post might be seen easier by those with more experience helping out.

The T drive is one made out of your random access memory. That used to be a thing back in the PC-XT days.
