No. I get LE's reference relationship and  memory stuff, but ww and the game run pretty well except of game bugs. Been caught by the event bug, but can't blame ww for that.

Seems like it. I personally had to redownload the game as I got a new computer and got the indefinite loading screen in CAS with WW installed in it's "virgin" setup and without any other mods. Well, I play without it at the moment, but it's not the same and am looking forward to the update. I really get the frustration, but well, it is what it is and we'll have to wait until Turbo gets it running again. No sense in whinging over spilled milk. I just hope he gets it ready for the weekend as I have the days finally off. :D

Turbo, after all the crap the last couple days, i just wanted to say thank you for all you are doing. Take your time and don't give a crap about the haters.

A lot of people seem to forget that you don't have to do this.

First of all, EA isn't purposefully breaking CC and mods, it's just an unpreventable thing that happens when games update, which isn't exclusive to The Sims 4, it happens to other games like Skyrim as an example. Secondly, not everyone is able to download CC or mods, console players exist. EA isn't a villain trying to destroy mods.

if you believe EA wouldnt go out of there way to purposely break things then you are deluded, in their mind the sooner they kill off modders the more money they can grab, DO NOT underestimate the lengths EA will go to, look at how many companies they bought out just to close them down and strangle any competition, you must be new to the world of EA...

Pretty sure Bethseda WERE trying to break mods, specifically, any mods NOT downloaded from THEIR site, as they were introducing PAID Mods, which now basically cost $6 a pop.

And that's for substandard mods, that have no dependencies, and are not allowed to be made with unofficial modding tools.

It was a blatant cash grab test, for Starfield and Fallout.

Also, EA have been down on Custom content since the release of EP2 Nightlife for Sims 2. after they got sued by some nutter for "selling porn to 12 year olds" who backed his claim with screenshots of his sims naked, with no censor blur, using CC to disable auto-dressing, and add "anatomical skins".

EA won that suit, but it panicked them enough that for EP2 they RREMOVED one of the female sim voice packs from the base game, because one line of dialog...

"Lesbe ?"

Sounded like the female sim was asking if other sims were lesbians. OmaGerd that had to go,  They also messsed with relationship and nudity reactions, so married couples would scream in horror if they caught their spouse naked in the bath or shower.

So, yeah I do suspect EA fubared the preferences API to mess with mods like WW, and force people to buy the new damn pack.

I ain't gonna drop £35 on that, I'll wait and see if Turbo can fix it at their end.

Meanwhile, I still have Skyrim Kinky Edition to entertain me, with SexLab and Deviouss Devices, and all the other great custom content from this very website.

Absolute rubbish! Bethesda are one of the few game Devs that actually support Mods and Modding. Hence every game has it's own official Creation Kit. As for so called "paid Mods", those are created by the very same modder's who create all of the wonderful FREE mods that you all enjoy, and yet many are on here and moaning because Turbodriver had the nerve to go on holiday and not update right away. Just stop it with the incredulity at Bethesda because they choose to pay members of the modding community for their good work!

If you believe EA purposely sit around thinking of ways to piss off players, then you I think you overestimate your own importance.

I don't know what world you live in but they are nothing without the mod community and they always prove they don't care if they can milk out another version or a new patch no matter if it breaks all the mods. And to say that Turbodriver had the nerve to go on vacation. I'm sorry, but he's human too, it's summer. But you're clearly not human.

Nope - at start up I get an LE referring to something involving foot sex which is not something I'm interested in and it doesn't seem to affect anything anyway.  I am still playing happily with the last WW update and all my other mods are up to date.

Mine worked fine until I tried to open CAS, after which I had to kill the game from Task Manager.

I am curious about something. I don't really care personally because I'm on Team Wicked, but what's the word from Turbodriver on Wonderful Whims? Lovestruck has a lot more redundancy with that one. Is it going to be retired?

No, I can play it too, above I commented how it worked for me,
since at first I couldn't play it, now I can play it, without any inconvenience, I updated the other mods.

You mean patreon? where only his true and most loyal supporters (paid subscribers) can comment? and they are somehow upset? mm I wonder why. He only make them wait a week, and he blocked the comments when their subscriptions says explicitly they will grant access to all post and discussions from patreon. But oh yes, that people must be wrong, turbo is right he must censor everything even if people are paying for it, he has right.

Really? You are getting this heated over a video game sex mod? To the point where you are making excuses for harassing and doxxing the creator because you've had to do something else for merely a week?

So, you are a pervert and a sociopath huh?

I'm almost certain there will come a point where this talented and amazingly gifted individual will up and say "y'know what? Fuck it, building my own life sim in <insert open source game engine here>"

And I'd pay over $120 for it just to stick it to EA. I believe in you Turbo, you don't need EA's shitty game engine with uncontrollable updates, everything you need to make your own way is available online and free.

Have you guys ever tried to make a mod for Fallout New Vegas or Skyrim? I've made a few small ones. From the time I first opened the Creation Kit to the time I had a completed "fast travel costs you money based on weight" mod, it was about 8 hours of learning/coding/troubleshooting, 2 hours a day max, had it done in under a week. This is a mod that will read your inventory, and charge you based on how much stuff you're carrying, the intention being "to fast travel in the wasteland, you're basically hiring help to guarantee you and your stuff gets to where it's going". The mod will also detect if you don't' have enough caps to cover the cost of all your belongings, and deny you the ability to fast travel until you either drop weight or find more money. It worked tremendously well, as it incentivizes the player to think before they fast travel, especially early on in the game.

I then moved on to make a mod for TS4, specifically I wanted to slash the money you made from selling photos because it was stupid to me that taking 90 photos of a blank wall and selling them all could net your sim more money in 2 hours than an 8 hour workday. The ability to sell any and all photos, regardless of how bad they are, makes photography in TS4 a free money exploit, which I tried to correct. All I had to do is change a few numbers to 0's.

2 WEEKS. 2 WEEKS IT TOOK ME, POURING OVER SPAGHETTI CODE AFTER SPAGHETTI CODE, DIGGING THRU FORUM POSTS, CHASING DEAD LINKS, TO FIND THE CORRECT VALUE TO CHANGE TO ADJUST THE SELL VALUE OF SIM-TAKEN PHOTOS. NO CUSTOM GAME LOGIC, NO CONSIDERATION FOR WHAT LEVEL YOU ARE, ALL I WANTED TO DO WAS CHANGE ONE LITTLE VALUE, DISABLE ONE LITTLE FEATURE, 2 WEEKS, 2 HOURS A DAY. That's when I learned that the ALL the Sims 4 Modding resources are 100% community run... EA doesn't even give you so much as a PDF of "these are the core functions of the engine and how they mesh together".

EA gives modders literally NOTHING... every single mod and modders resource has been REVERSE ENGINEERED through trial and error (please correct me if I'm wrong, I've never found any official documentation on TS4 modding, only the community run forum/Sims4Studio). And EA have the balls to say "we support the modding community"

I honestly think one of these updates might be "the big one", the one that, for whatever reason, just won't work unless major parts of the WW mod are amputated.

Does anyone remember when we used to be able to Save the game on the Manage Worlds Screen? And then after an EA update, if you saved the game in Managed World view while WW was installed, your save would corrupt? Turbo was aware of this, and they did their best to mitigate it, but ultimately it had to come down to "educate the users", which is IT speak for "the computer won, we can't fix it". I think stuff like that will happen more and more, and slowly but surely features of WW will have to be removed as they won't mesh with what EA's haphazardly done to the base engine.

On that note, literally all I want is a way to play the animations on demand... that's it... that's all I needed for this. I don't use 90% of the WW functions, and Andrews Pose Player works for static poses but not animations. I'd really like to see a "WickedWhims - Lite" edition where it's nothing but the animation player module, it would probably be much more stable and easier to maintain, and good for situations like this when EA royally fucks mod makers (which will happen again, and again, and again)

TLDR; The Sims 4 is a game engine, which seems to be written entirely in XML... if you don't understand what that means or why that's horrible, you have no right to bitch about how long the update is taking.

See ya tomorrow folks

Have you paid attention to the Skyrim updates, they did 2 in rapid succession, both tended to erase mod lists for people who used the Bethseda made mod management tools.

The state of the paid mods, after the 2nd update, was that the mods cannot have any dependencies, at all, not even DLC packs, and cannot be made with "external tools" other than the creation kit., it wasn't made clear if that included 3D modelling software to make ACTUAL custom content.

They may "support modding" but they want it on THEIR terms, where they can rake in a hefty chunk of the money paid for a modders hard work, while limiting what work the modder can actually do.

Do NOT ask me about how long it took to add the Edith BHav code for a Sims 2 mod called "Roaches for Toddlers", I had to build a special Toddler Testing Pit for that just to begin with. Just something simple like adding an interaction with roaches for toddlers.

I am playing the game with WW and other mods. The problem I had was with the infinite loading screen when entering CAS, No matter that I used MCCC to modify household in CAS  or "change sim" using the dresser: the loading screen kept loading forever.
So, this is what I did meanwhile I wait for Turbo to update his mod:
I decided not load any previously saved game for now (I tried but it sucks)
I removed a mod that added more traits in CAS
I created a new game and then CAS opened automatically with a random Sim
I edited all the traits, gender, sexual orientation and the new romantic boundaries of it
I placed the newly created sim in the world

Then, using MCCC, I replaced the appearance, the clothing using "paste saved sim from tray". I did not use the option to paste the personality to avoid conflicts.
I'm able to play the game and use WW,
Of course, I cannot edit the Sim in CAS again but, at least, I can play.

first off i just want to say that you types of people are a too entitled and don't understand that turbo, like everyone else, isn't a slave and are allowed breaks to prevent a severe burnout and y'all need to fucking chill and play something else or do something else until he comes back feeling refreshed. And second he DID say on his patreon that he should have an update to WW within this week like 3 days ago. just be glad this mod is free and the ONLY time you'd pay him is only as a tip to show support, if you unsub because you're too impatient that's on you.

same goes with all the other impatient people. just chill the fuck out and do something else with your time until an update rolls out, it's what i've been doing.

hes already working on it :) tho i dont think him being on vacation would have made a difference this time around, EA really fucked it up this time so its going to take a little longer than usual, and hes going to have to test it too so the little babies will have to learn some patience wether they like it or not.

What are you talking about I do not support harassing nor doxxing to anybody in any way, how you link my comment to this?

Why you call me pervert and sociopath for no reason?

Why this community ended up insulting or attacking in some way to anybody who give an opinion to a situation just because you disagree? can't you simply give  your point of view or give an explanation to your disagreement with respect?  I understand the author by not even bother to leave a comment here, it must be stressing to interact with such people all the time.

btw: to all readers excuse my english I am polish and this is the best I can do.
