Title says it all.

I have nothing against them, but I have a modder pal who was asking me how to deal with them, after he, an author of an armor retexture mod, was sent a trio of screenshots where the end-user's character was an MLP character on two hooves. I told him I have no idea, and he wasn't really sure because all he knew about the subculture is that it's the most sensitive of all fandoms, hence he's a quandry on whether to accept the screenshots for display or not and I have no way of telling him what should be the best course of action.

As an outsider, we do not have to suffer the consequences of any advice we give here.  So subsequently I usually need very detailed information about the problem.

From what I have read it would appear his problem is "to accept the screenshots for display or not"

I would think this boils down to his personal preference.  If he does not like the screenshots then do not post them, very much as he would do with any other group that submitted screenshots.

It is up to the uploader if they want to upload them or not but If they are worried about posting the screenshots might as well not to upload any screenshots at all because anyone can go anal at anytime on any screenshot it doesn't matter what it's about it all depends on how far the stick is up their butt at the time that they see the screenshot.

If he doesn't like them, then he shouldn't upload them. It if hurts somebody's precious feelings, then they can harden up.

I don't know what f culture or mlp mean, but I concur with what the others have said - it's his personal preference.

I see. Thanks for the replies, it should be his own discretion to choose what to upload. The last thing he needed is controversy and/or facing the guns of the Nexus mods.

The modder is king, and the modder should simply let it go by because it's highly likely that anything that isn't hyper gushing praise will be seen as [insert adjective here] and thus starts an endless chain of what is called here "whiny self entitled argumentation by those unwilling to accept their point of view is not only superfluous and bullshit, but also that someone just somehow some-way doesn't give five fuck about their precious fetish."

That's the rub with fetishes. For everyone that's paralyzed with omgsohard clitoritis, there's someone else that only does not get horny over ______, but they probably think it's completely fucking stupid and will probably promote getting cancer. Are these two positions going to have a nuanced conversation  covering all sides of the debate in a thorough and thought provocated manner? Noope. One of them is going to bitingly sarcastic and the other is immediately pull the Oprah breakdown level victim card with a side of super-diabetic Appeal to Authority complete with uploaded youtube testimony consisting of wailing sobs for five hours.

Or as the Nexus calls it, Saturday.

Really your two choices are maximum containment, wherein no correspondence is followed up on and no pictures are posted, or to simply stick the pictures in with a bunch of other ones and publish them all at once while still avoiding any other contact with maximum distance to avoid the inevitable megaultrahyperDRAAAAMAAAAAshitstorm the comments section will become.

Or just disable comments too.

Over a coffee he said he ain't approving the pics, didn't want to see an argument blow up over a bunch of pictures.

Just going to keep the non-approval quiet instead.
