Mod Organizer

Hey guys, coming back to fallout with the new dlc, back in the day mod organizer wasn't working for mods, has this changed or still needing to use NMM(nexus mod manager)

It works but you have to use Mod Organizer 2 which isn't on the nexus I believe and is still in Alpha (I use MO cause I despise NMM).

You can find it here ....... https://github.com/TanninOne/modorganizer/releases

Have the resolved the various issues with MO2? Is it as stable and good as the 32bit version?

i think there is still the issue of having to fuse body slide mods together, other than that it seems pretty stable

For me it crashes every time I install a mod - although the mod is installed successfully, I just need to restart MO. And if I make or edit a mod with FO4Edit the esp gets put into the main game Data folder instead of in overwrite. Other than that I've had no issues, and those are nothing more than minor annoyances.

For me mo2 has the following problems;

alpha1 - can not even remember the problems I had it just did not work.

alpha2 - could install mods, but Fallout 4 started to run then stopped with a Fallout 4 has stopped working then back to desktop.

Alpha3 - ctd on mo2 splash screen.

Alpha4 - same as alpha2, but Fallout 4 simply went to a black screen and would not release to windows, only way to get back to using pc was re-boot, as ctr-alt-del did pull up task manager, but it would not actually open it, task manager was in the task bar and showing as running but it would simply not open, same with any program already running, it was in task bar but it would not open onto screen no matter what.

I am hoping alpha5 or whatever the next version is works but not holding my breath and current use nmm for fallout 4 and the older nexus version of mo for everything else.

I might still need to do the same :(

for me alpha 4 works fine except few things

the need to merge all bodyslide tool folders under same mod

Bodyslide wont work inside mo but since i have that merged folder i can use it manually from there

loot crashes but i can sort the mod order manually for now

fo4edit crashes but if i need to use it for something i can start it trough nmm, this is the only reason i have nmm installed woudnt touch it otherwise

these issues aren't that bad compared to be forced using nmm that is inferior option for modding after using mo

Seems plenty of people have no or very few problems with the alpha mo2, in my case as none of them works so it makes nmm at present the superior mod manager for fallout 4, I am hoping however that changes sooner or later, preferably sooner as I use mo for all the other games.

I am looking forward to getting mo2 working properly as for some strange reason non of my skyproc patchers for skyrim will run any more, they used to till a few weeks ago, now they all fail with out of memory errors, and the max it will even allow me to use is about 1100mb any more than that and java just refuses to run.

I even tried the copy it all and run the 64bit java through the command line and that just does not even find skyrim an the base esp/esm let alone any of the mods, and I double and tripple checked to make sure I ran it properly.

The only issue i have with MO2-A4 is LOOT.  The built in sort doesn't work, nor does LOOT work if i install separately and run it through MO2.  So my load order is probably horribly skewed despite manual manipulation.
