When I click on the link I receive this message "the image can not be displayed because it contains errors."

That's just some weird thing imgur sometimes does. Just refresh the page and it should show up. Barring that, click in the URL bar and hit enter again.

Try paste the URL in a new tab. Imgur just doesnt like loverslab for some reason.

It has nothing to do about liking LL. Imgur blocks many of it's links that are linked on LL there is a firefox/chrome work around plugin that prevents imgur from blocking the links so that you can see them correctly with no problem.

To me the hands almost look like they are using vanilla hand textures or incorrect hand textures that right hand really looks nasty.

It does it accross the whole body.

The textures I use are the Demoniac Textures.

Never used those as I never see the point of textures that high and they can cause problems on older machines.

But have you tried turning off your ENB to see if that is the cause if you use a ENB. If you look at the body hands and feet nifs that you are using in nifskope what do they look like? Do they look good or do they have the same lines? If they have lines while looking at them in nifskope then you will know that it's a texture problem like not being compatible with the mesh. The high gloss might cause something I know I have had high gloss do weird things before.

It can't be an incompatible mesh, as I get the same thing if I use sevenbase. I also tried switching textures and I got the same exact thing. I should mention that this happens throughout the whole body, not just hands and feet.

EDIT: I also tried turning off ENB as well.

I had a similar issue once.

The fix was oddly simple. I found a mod that fixes the "bronze shine" on vanilla body textures and simply reproduced what that mod author did, but on my custom body.

First, BACK UP your femalebody_1_sk.dds file somewhere SAFE.

Open the femalebody_1_sk.dds file for your body and open it in Paint/Photoshop/whatever. Use Alt+A to Select the entire image, then select pure black as the color and use the "fill" function to black-out the entire image. Seriously--make the entire image pure black. Save it. Make sure the altered file is in the correct place (replacing the original).

Open Skyrim and see if that fixes it for you. Yes? Great! No? Put the original femalebody_1_sk.dds file back into the proper place and forget this post.

On some bodies, the author was careful when creating this file and you shouldn't do this, but it sounds like the proper attention wasn't given when creating the textures you are using.

Hope that helps.

PS: This is NOT going to fix the obvious broken fingers in your screenshot. THAT looks like you've used a Racemenu preload that has finger/hand-scales changed, and you stacked further changes on top.

Didn't catch that part. Sorry.

Simply do the same thing for the hand/feet parts. Make sure you're only changing the xxxxx_x_sk.dds files in this way.

Back them up, first.

So proper attention wasn't given to both the textures I used? The textures I changed between were SG Female Textures Renewal and Demoniac.

Quite possible. I've encountered the problem on 6 different followers telling me the textures on all six had the same problem. They were all different texture sets. My suggested fix solved the issue on all 6 of them.

Don't ask me why it works--I have no clue. Bottom line--If it solves the problem, it's a fix.

Did you try it?

This also solves another issue where the head and body textures do not darken at the same rate when stepping into shadows. If your body and face textures look different only in shadows (head is usually "brighter" than body) try this method. It's fixed that issue on two of the followers I mentioned earlier (they had both problems, while four of them only had the squigly lines).

I decided to fire up mod organizer today and update osex and FNIS.

I of course tested it and amazingly enough the wierd lines do not occur anymore. So I guess the issue was something in FNIS.
