About that creation kit or geck

I think Bethesda's plan and reason why they don't release the creation kit now is this:

First:
- create some commercial dlcs
- sell a satisfactory number of dlcs
and THEN
- release the ck

(A release of the ck now means: free dlcs made by modding girls and guys = no money for poor Bethesda)
Just my guess ;)

And they didn't do that with Skyrim because... They never planned releasing CK with X360 and PS3 support? Logic. You can build robots already btw and the first DLC is about robots...

Here's another guess: Their first  story-based DLC is a)probably not going to be connected to the main story like the DLCs for FNV was and F3 DLCs wasn't; b)gonna suck like a vacuum cleaner because it's their first story-based addon for F4 because Operation Anchorage for F3 was terrible.

I also love the price tag on the story-based DLC and the fact that Season Pass' gonna go $49.99. Fail.

P.S.

Anoyone who live in United States, is it normal that story-based DLC for F4 is worth $24 when it was like $10 for F3 and FNV?

I could tell you how childish your comment is, but then I would have to think about the suitable English words, and
I'm too lazy and I'm not gonna waste my time for that.

Spell, I don't think you're 100% true to yourself and positive because you wrote a blank post about how you don't care and don't want to waste your time but you wasted it anyway regardless of your lazyness in fact.

I think the price is ok, because of this.

"Far Harbor features the largest landmass for an add-on that we’ve ever created, filled with new faction quests, settlements, lethal creatures and dungeons"

Dragonborn was a huge DLC, this is bigger... I am a bethesda fanboy, but i am a fanboy because they don't lie about their stuff, we know the company, we know the games, the release is always all broken but the game fix itself after some time.

The best part is the price, i take the season pass even before FO4 was release, now they expand the DLC plans, this is something.

And the first DLC about the robots, sure we can build robots with mods, but in this case, you will build a custom made robot, take a look on the screenshot, this should be nice.

From what i read i can understand that the CK will be release with the new patch.

Fair point for a fan though.

"We’re currently testing both Survival Mode and the Creation Kit now, and more details will be forthcoming."

Together with the twitter post

"We're also working on free updates:  Stay tuned for details on Creation Kit, Survival Mode, and more"

For what i understand will be release together, i think in skyrim was like that, a patch with CK, but i could be wrong, was a long time ago :)

Finally, light at the end of the tunnel.

When you see lights at the end of the tunnel, probably is a train coming to you.

(I am not really negative, just acid-sarcastic.)

For the OP, CK/GECK = absolutely necessary for anything beyond the most basic of changes. Pretty much everything LL is known for is impossible without it.

Bethesda had better hurry up and release the GECK. Console versions having mod support was a huge selling point and people are getting sick of waiting. Naturally they didn't actually have how to get it done completely worked out and likely underestimated how difficult it is. Classic case of putting the cart before the horse.

Hines said: first quarter of 2016.

I give them credit at lest for another month (and maybe also a couple of extra weeks, if it will be out the second week of April, they still went OK.)

[...] they don't lie about their stuff [...]

"See that mountain? You can climb it."

Paraphrase: "No loading screens!"

No loading screens was never something that bethesda said, they said the loading screens would be faster, and it is, depending were you are, comparing skyrim, i think is way faster.

It's funny to say that they don't lie, because it should be the principle, the basic from a game company, but what i see in the last years happening to the game industry, the fact that they don't lie is not basic anymore... and now they are the good guys because of that.

Agreed that any bethesda game have a high expectation around it, in special if the game takes 7 years to be made, in my first play, i thought, what they do in 7 years??? This is lacking content.... them in my second run, i think the game is ok, i am exploring the land, and is very cool, not skyrim cool, but is very cool, maybe thats why they will make a lot more DLC them they have planned.

The actual quote:

In the city, it's very dense, but there is no load - like in Fallout 3, there's a load - for areas of the city, we don't do that. So it's very dense, the buildings are tall, and a lot of them are open, so you can just walk in and around, so... it's big.

Which is more of a lie than truth.

The city of Fallout 4 is half of the map, but it's empty as all hell and next to no buildings are open.

Getting into the actual "city" still has loading, which isn't unlike of how it was done in Fallout 3 or Skyrim.

Plus as far as I remember Fallout 3 only had one loading when "exploring", Washington Memorial, which had it's own separate world space.

Other than this one little place there is literally no difference in how they handled loading. In case you ask, elevators don't count.

I don't play much FO3 or NV, i have it, but i don't played much, maybe 3 hours tops, so i can't say nothing about loading times there, but in skyrim loading was a pain compared to FO4.

About more lie or truth, i don't know, to be honest, maybe i become one of those fanboys that don't see nothing wrong, or maybe companies are releasing so crap and buggy games that i think FO4 is a masterpiece, but i see the logic in some places being a different world space, a example that i can recall, croup manor, the basement is a different world space, but if was not a different world space, imagine all that ghouls coming out when you first arrive, the drama, suspense to know what is there, we will not have it if was in the same world space.

But again, maybe i am blind to errors or promises, my experience with FO4 is good, i have a nice spec here, the max loading time i got is 5 seconds or maybe a little more, nothing that can damage the imersion, in skyrim i got some huge loading times, and in both i am using mods, enb all that fun stuff.

When can we expect to see mods, especially on console side?
Our goal is between the first two DLCs. It’ll go up at that time on PC. In April. All of that stuff will go up on PC. People are beta testing it. There’ll be a lag on consoles. We want to get it up on PC and have it work. It’ll probably be a good month before it hits Xbox One, and another month for PlayStation 4.

See you in 2 months.
