JarlBallin' Posted December 20, 2015 Posted December 20, 2015 As the title suggests, I want to know what kinds of weapons people in the community have gotten compared to me. The best weapon I have personal got was an explosive minigun that dealed 54 damage (fully upgraded w/ all perks) and an extra 15 explosive damage. It allowed me to kill deathclaws in about a second on very hard difficulty. Has anyone gotten anything better?
Arhon Posted December 20, 2015 Posted December 20, 2015 A weapon I made myself(well to be correct 2 weapons) I fully modded a Mini-Gun and named it Old Painless(It got Furious Legendary affix). Then I fully modded a Shotgun and named it Remington(It got Explosive Legendary affix). I run in Full PA armor and kill everything with my Old Painless, when I see them coming close to me I switch to my Remington and blow them to pieces. Only thing I miss is Pump Shotguns.... I really hope when the GECK(Mod Tools) is out someone will make such Shotgun. I forgot to say that I have a Machete that I fully modded and named it Machete , I use this only when I want to chop something up(Its quite a sigh to see when you chop something up in PA ) however I barely use it cause my Remington finishes the job most of the times. EDIT: I play on Survival Difficulty.

Dreamweaver Posted December 21, 2015 Posted December 21, 2015 The Railway Rifle is great, yeah. Shooting someone's head off and seeing it get pinned to the wall behind them is very therapeutic. My favourite is a "crippling" sniper rifle I got from a legendary something or other. It just does bonus limb damage with each hit, and there have been other, more powerful weapons I've found, but I've modded that one up as much as I can and have been carrying it around with me for about twenty levels or more, and it remains my go-to gun. I've always loved playing snipers.

oldbloke55 Posted December 25, 2015 Posted December 25, 2015 the explosive gauss rifle. it dropped from a gunner. huge damage. if you have time for it, holding the trigger in for a couple of seconds, makes all the difference by the way.

Katsoro Posted December 26, 2015 Posted December 26, 2015 The last minute. As for normal weapons I once found a plasma infused mini-gun it almost had as match DPS as my unmoded combat rifle. Then I found a plasma infused 44 that dose almost the same damage as a 50 cal.

azerty852 Posted December 27, 2015 Posted December 27, 2015 Nothing good on 2 entire playthrough on survival. Once geck comes out I'll remove all the weak effects from the pool and only keep explosive,2 shot and furious. That should be easier than trying to rebalance the bad ones.

Big Ben I think he's called, he's a Fatman that shoots an additional projectile, 2 mini nuke projectiles per 1 mini nuke ammo. This weapon insta-kills everything on survival (where as a normal Fatman would not).Best weapon? A combat rifle with additional projectile stat that whas a base damage of 120, so 240 dmg per shot. Not so bad

Sniper Rifle and depending on PERKS and your ability to mod weapons the damage can be very extreme (one shot Legendary's in Survival mode with it's 50% decrease in damage ). Up close and personal "Le Fusil Terribles", modded and with the right perks a beast. There is also the Alien Blaster Pistol which can be modded as well. And then there's (forget the Fat Man) go "Big Boy". the name says it all with that beast. Base damage is 936 because it fires 2 mini nukes at the cost of one. the Big Boy is also compatible with the Experimental MIRV modification giving it the ability to fire 12 mini Nukes at the cost of 1. Blast radius is huge, fire and run like hell. you might survive
sen4mi Posted December 30, 2015 Posted December 30, 2015 My personal best is currently a [modded] mighty 44cal pistol which, with pistol perks, does 192 damage. And with sneak and crit multipliers (currently I get 4.2x from sneak) I can sometimes one-shot mirelurk queens (on normal - I do not have enough patience for survival mode). I know some weapons do considerably higher damage, but they tend to have ammo and/or weight issues which I am not prepared to deal with. (I have never seen an additional projectile weapon on this character - I wonder if they have been removed from the random drop tables?) But I mostly use a silenced 50cal or an upgraded deliverer (the 50cal has better range and higher damage, but the deliverer uses fewer action points per shot), because ammo conservation and because sneakiness.

xenic Posted January 2, 2016 Posted January 2, 2016 I used the Any Mod Any Weapon mod on Nexus and made a "Death Ray." It's a minigun with a gamma emitter on the end. It does 100 rad damage, fires as fast as the minigun and uses 5mm rounds but the weapon effect is the gamma shots. It's a lot of fun to use.
KainsChylde Posted January 3, 2016 Posted January 3, 2016 Best gun I've found was a Two-Shot legendary Gauss Rifle. Fully modded, with max Sniper, Rifleman, and Science perks, base damage 1066 per shot. Sneak attack 3.5x crit did @7000 damage...to a bloatfly.
