DeadSomething Posted April 8, 2012 Posted April 8, 2012 Hi people, i have been downloading and using lovers and was now searching for an equivalent mod for FO3. i foudn sexout and sexus, jsut to find out they're for NV. cant we seperate those forums for each game? same for Oblivion and Skyrim... its just too confusing.
Cascadeur Posted April 8, 2012 Posted April 8, 2012 For me too .I download Sexout but i didn´t know for what game it is F3 or NV . I am a little bit confuesst . I have download a much ! Hope you can help ! Thnk you !!
gregathit Posted April 8, 2012 Posted April 8, 2012 Sexus is for fallout 3. Â Â Sexout is for fallout new vegas. If you bothered to read the official Sexout NG update thread you would have clearly see the quote below: Â Requirements: - Fallout New Vegas. Should be obvious, but a few people have tried to use it with Fallout 3. Â EDIT: FNV requirements for Sexout are also pointed out in the 1st couple of sentences of the "How to install Sexout" thread: http://www.loverslab.com/showthread.php?tid=4768 Â Guys, some little amount of reading really is necessary to understand how to make these plugins work and what their requirements are. Â Fallout 3 has so few mods and discussion regarding it that it was decided to fold it into FNV. Also the body/armor/weapon/clothes meshes and textures can be freely swapped back and forth. A separate Fallout 3 forum subsection would be quite a lonely place
DeadSomething Posted April 8, 2012 Author Posted April 8, 2012 ok, understood. but even if the meshes and textures can be used for both, some mods still cant be used for both. and for me it wouldnt matter if there were only one almost empty subforum for FO3 inside the fallout-forum.
gregathit Posted April 8, 2012 Posted April 8, 2012 Don't get me wrong here, I am not dismissing the idea out of hand, I am just trying to explain why it is the way it currently is
Guest Donkey Posted April 9, 2012 Posted April 9, 2012 Hi people' date=' i have been downloading and using lovers and was now searching for an equivalent mod for FO3. i foudn sexout and sexus, jsut to find out they're for NV. cant we seperate those forums for each game? same for Oblivion and Skyrim... its just too confusing. [/quote'] Â No need for oblivion and skyrim those mods pretty obvious already. Sexus actually have 2 versions available 1 for fallout 3 and the other for new vegas. Â Sexout should be pretty obvious too since it always was for new vegas. There is currently someone who was making a converions for sexout back to fallout 3 but he hasn't posted much lately. Â Where did you guys download sexout ?? http://www.loverslab.com/showthread.php?tid=3198 Â did you just download without viewing requirements ?? Â Requirements: - Fallout New Vegas. Should be obvious, but a few people have tried to use it with Fallout 3. Â - A skeleton. Either This one by our very own astymma, the BNB skeletons, or all of BNB. Instructions on how to install the BNB skeletons without installing all of BNB are in the 'tits' link, for those that want to do so. Animators should continue to use the BNB skeleton. Â - NVSE. Available here: http://nvse.silverlock.org/ Â - My NVSE Extender, V4+. Available here: http://www.loverslab.com/showthread.php?tid=5965 Â I think this is pretty straight forward. Since it even says so on the main page.
DeadSomething Posted April 9, 2012 Author Posted April 9, 2012 i dont know... i guess i found the link in a forum thread when i didnt know about the download section yet. Â sure i understand that there were reasons for this categorization, but maybe its time to change it. Â also on sexus i was never sure if a download or thread was about NV or FO3...
DeadSomething Posted June 28, 2012 Author Posted June 28, 2012 well, this is most important for searchign for certain things, as in the search, i cant always find out if a mod is for FO3, Skyrim, NV or Oblivion. that is only obvious if the modder made that clear in the first post and best if written in the first 10 lines of description and not the last 3 lines. also it is possible to tag your threads as belonging to a certain game, so why are almost no people using that feature? this is like not telling if a program you write is meant for Linux or win32 and let the user guess by some of the features, which a linux/win32 insider will recognize immediatly, but not the regular user.
Ark of Truth Posted June 28, 2012 Posted June 28, 2012 If people don't use the tags then there nothing that can really be done. But I agree with Greg, if you read you will know.
Ashal Posted June 28, 2012 Posted June 28, 2012 There is so little done with fallout 3 compared to new vegas is doesn't seem worth it to have it's own sub category. At least in my opinion, if enough people disagree, I'd be happy to oblige them. Â In the meantime, there are thread prefixes for Fallout 3 and New Vegas, I dropped the ball and haven't made them available in the actual fallout section, just the resource and guides section. I've remedied this now and made both of those prefixes available for use in all the fallout boards. They should help if people actually use them.
johneb Posted June 28, 2012 Posted June 28, 2012 For FO3 get Animated Prostitution..that's about as close as your gonna get to Lovers w/PK mods. BUT if you really like the lovers mods be prepared to be a little disappointed performancewise.
DeadSomething Posted June 28, 2012 Author Posted June 28, 2012 For FO3 get Animated Prostitution..that's about as close as your gonna get to Lovers w/PK mods. Â tried that before, was nice... but loversPK is miles ahead of AP.
Guest Posted June 28, 2012 Posted June 28, 2012 @johneb, you made a double post. Â Â OT: I disagree. It's fine how it is and it only takes a few minutes of reading to figure out which game a certain mod is for.
DeadSomething Posted June 28, 2012 Author Posted June 28, 2012 well, some mod creators/posters here still dont know how to make it clear about which game they are talking.
Kashked Posted June 28, 2012 Posted June 28, 2012 Good rule of thumb... It's all NV unless stated otherwise. As mentioned, LL has very few FO3-mods, and everything in the Sexout-section is ALWAYS FNV.
DeadSomething Posted June 28, 2012 Author Posted June 28, 2012 ok, i'll stop this request. there isnt much here for FO3 and i'm glad there's much for TESIV. at least obliviona nd skyrim are seperated admin: you may close this thread if you want - i understand your reasons for your forum categories now. also i hope people will learn to mark their threads as [FO3] or [FONV] in the future
