sdd500 Posted April 4, 2012 Posted April 4, 2012 How do we separate each ranks? Â When we get in LL first time, we are Junior member. Â With more than 50 posts, We become nomal memeber. Â Wierd parts start with this. 4 stars!! Â We have both VIPs and Senior memebers for 4 stars!! Â And how do you become one of them??
thesapien Posted April 4, 2012 Posted April 4, 2012 There's another thread on this and the question was never resolved: http://www.loverslab.com/showthread.php?tid=4413 Are we RP'ing the site and trying to level up?
sdd500 Posted April 4, 2012 Author Posted April 4, 2012 Nope, just wonder about weird system. Â Sry if you felt that way.
gregathit Posted April 7, 2012 Posted April 7, 2012 Right now the stars don't mean anything at all. Â There are only four catagories of folks here: 1. All normal users have white names. 2. The mod contributors are green. 3. The moderators are pink. 4. The only other one is red and that is Ashal who owns the site. Â At one time there was leveling up via contributing and post count to get access to a VIP area (which never actually existed but was planned). It was decided (wisely IMHO) to instead maintain an open site that all members could access all parts, so that is the way things currently are. Â The stars are merely a left over part of an abandoned system and do nothing other than look "pretty"
Ashal Posted April 7, 2012 Posted April 7, 2012 Stars for normal users are an indication of how much they've posted. Â Contributors, mods, and myself have a set number of stars, which is more stars than you can earn from simply posting. Â VIP is a retired rank you can't get anymore as it was a failed idea nobody really made use of. you can't earn it anymore but you the people who had it still have it. sdd500 Posted April 7, 2012 Author Posted April 7, 2012 According to Ashal, No one is ever going to be VIP. That's a shame. I like the term of it. Well, thanks for answering my curiosity.
Jerbsinator Posted April 7, 2012 Posted April 7, 2012 The only plus I have seen to being VIP is sometimes really nice mods pop up there. Ones that other communities would not want released. I haven't seen anything for a while though.
Surenas Posted April 7, 2012 Posted April 7, 2012 I'm happy not to be a VIP anymore. Depending on the site that turns you into one it rather might be a curse than glory.
Kashked Posted April 10, 2012 Posted April 10, 2012 I used to be a VIP-member like you, but then I took a custom title to the knee.
