ther1pper Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 Has anyone tried a nude playthrough on master with mods like Deadly Dragons and Revenge of the enemies while on master, or am i the only one who's crazy enough to do so. Any advice on how to survive as a naked warrior, cause mage seems like the only way i can survive.
Taskmaster Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 Differen't load order = different Skyrim standard.
Jeffrey Lane Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 Sort of, did a perma level 1 (meaning i never opened the skill menu at all) with no armor (wore blacksmith clothes the whole run) on master. and ASIS with its spawning set high. now, idk if it was from vanilla or mods, but not all was my lvl, the druagr at the end of Bleak falls was lvl 6, the hagraven at Orphen rock was lvl 20, so was the spider in the tunnel place near it (that starts at skybound watch) i made it thru everything, but HAD to have a follower, and to gimp myself.. it was Lydia.

sweforce Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 I do not know about hardmods but "Smart Cast" will let you automate a lot of spellcasting thus allowing a "magic" warrior" to cast protective spell and augmentations without bothering to put away things like two handed weapons. A magic overhaul will then then allow for better spells to accomlish this. I use "Mighty Magic" but there are others. Shirobako Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 Nothing special about being naked. Robes have no defense either, and the hidden value is too low to matter. First of all, bring a follower or two or ten. That will prevent you from getting killcam'ed all the time. Upgrade your weapon to legendary (really high level of legendary).
afa Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 Fix spawn points for bears and trolls/frost trolls are still going to spawn. Standard Falmer starts at around level 9. Even level 1 bandits has a 1.5 damage boost, but they are still weak of course. Perma level 1 with critical skills at 100 might be able to tip the scale.

(should still be a screenshot on the asis page of my spawns, was at the little camp just under the northside of Whiterun, was over 60 bandits in the group) tho now i have made it worse, my lvl 6 thief found a lvl 55 draugr in Bleak falls, others that we're in the 16-25 range too. she got STOMPED if they got to touch her. the new mod Genesis spawns things unleveled, went to the temple of Meridia, the first few rooms had lvl 25-26 bandits.. i was still lvl 12.

Yes in vanilla skyrim its way to easy and never leveling does make a difference but maybe 1-100 folks don't install something like perma, obis, asis, deadly dragons, sands of time, immersive creatures, ect, ect, ect. Point is there's tons of mods out there that affect npcs/monsters imagine this every time I leave bleak falls on my way back to riverwood I have only 3 options to returning safely because there is a lvl 50 ish permanent giant spriggan near Anise's cabin I can 1) swim across the lake 2) bolt past and hope he dont get close enough to swing before he loses sight of me or 3) cheat with one of 2 methods kill command or duck in the water before he gets to me cause he will 1 shot me on any difficulty at lvl 5-8 ish just using ranged weapons.
Jeffrey Lane Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 that bastard giant spriggan.. has gotten me a few times. should burn down it's whole forest.
NickNozownik Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 Playing as a pure warrior would require perfectly timed blocking, picking enemies one by one and using terrain to your advantage. Jump on a bigger rock or even a table and AI will have a hard time getting to you. Upgrading your weapons to legendary and using alchemy will make it easier. Make space in your inventory for tons of healing potions, fortify two handed potions and paralysis poison. If you're going to use a shield then, depending on what perk overhaul you have, it should be really easy once you will level up your block to 100. You can also enchant your clothes and jewelry with fortify two handed/one handed, block, fortify health/stamina and health/stamina regenaration, assuming that you aren't literally naked. If you have Requiem overhaul combined with OBIS 5x or 8x spawns or SkyTweak with 5x base weapon damage and 3x NPC damage scaling then, well, you are going to enter the world of pain. Modded mage playthrough will be a lot easier. With Forgotten Magic and Phenderix Magic you have a few "I WIN" spells like Discord (basically Frenzy but affects higher level enemies) and Host - Dremora Lord (summons three of them).

I always give my characters stamina and health regen as well as magic resist, but i tend not to make my weapons past 200 even on master otherwise the game gets too easy, even with the mods, however only the dragons become a problem, even fully armored, killing me for them is easy up close, and keep in mind i'm talking about my high leveled 111 warrior character.
NickNozownik Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 Block their attack, bash them and hit when they are staggered. With enough stamina potions and enchanted gear later on it shouldn't be a problem. Naked dual wielding on master difficulty can be quite easy and fun with two fast weapons that have absorb health enchantment. I don't have Deadly Dragons mod, but maybe having a different set of anti-dragon-only armour with resist magic and resist fire/frost will help you survive. But they're a problem for a level 111 warrior character, so I'm really not sure if it will work. I never used any dragon overhauls so I'm used to mining their face off with a pickaxe.
Taskmaster Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 The difficulty slider in the game is increased incoming damage, and decreased outgoing damage. Real increased difficulty would be different tactics and strategies from threats, new scenarios and dynamic engagements, that have you thinking and paying attention, formulating plans(pre-emptive, on your feet, or even reactions), etc. Applied to this game: Stressing your roleplay, and challenging you to succeed while staying within your character's created RP restrictions/rules. You can get that from new encounters in the game that introduce new enemy types, stronger AI, and you can also get increased incoming damage and decreased outgoing damage, roundabout, when you're up against threats that are higher level than you. People talk about ways to deal with certain things in the game, but every person that's posted in this thread is playing on a different Skyrim standard, because of a different load order and plugins. And different rules they follow and have created as per what they've designed their character to be. Everyone's worldspace in the game is not going to be the same. Here's a mod, if anyone is interested. WTF Encounter Zones: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/28761/?

Old Book Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 The toughest play through is "Dead Means Dead." That is made easier with mods that give you effective immortality (Death Alternative, etc), but you'll still run into one hit kills and death moves that can take you out. Nude playthroughs? For easy mode, use potions and magic. For much harder mode, try a no-items-no-magic-no-reload play through. That should be absurdly tough.
