Could someone make a torrent file for all skyrim related mods?

Adult and no adult mods plus the framework?

pointless.

there is a lot of mods out there - using all of them at the same time is a pure madness

new versions are being uploaded all the time - this torrent would have to be updated every several days

all non adult? have fun downloading - theres is 42500 of them on nexus alone...

I thought the piracy is not "supported" by the LL. (?)

He specifically stated mods so no piracy.

However permissions for each of the the mods included in the torrent would potentially be a major pain for something like this, especially for mods hosted with site exclusive requirements as some mods do.

Having torrents for each mod might be doable, but again updates and permissions would be the major concern with it.

This is doable however not the way you are asking for.

  • Each author or someone that they trust and authorize would have to set up each and every on of the mods and maintain the torrent links.
  • Keep in mind that most of these mods are very active and change almost daily.
  • For some of the mods it won't matter as they are very small. For others however it will be a massive undertaking to download them each time a new change has been made, not to mention getting the torrent up to speed.
  • Finally there will be mods that aren't being seeded and the downloads from them would really suck.
  • among other situations and issues.

So "make a torrent file for all skyrim related mods" is basically impossible, however there are many that would make a good candidate for this if there is enough support (members willing to seed) and the author is wiling to allow this to happen. Basically a case by case situation.

Now of you are asking about a Skyrim compilation pack with most of the main mods. That is a different story. So long as the creators don't mind it can be done and is done to some degree with Sexout now. Massive amount of work for the person accembling the compilation but perhaps might be a better choose. Then someone would have a nice base setup. (few basic mods like Romance, Matchmaker Sexlab, creature requirements etc) This would need to be torrented or placed on mediafire or something as it would be way to large for LL to handle.

I did the same for a few seconds as well :). I believe the op just wants an easier download setup option for Skyrim. We all know how intimidating it can be to get all the files installed just right.

Just having problems getting everything to work so basicly that was why I wanted a download and I already got 80 or so gig of skyrim mods.

it just becomes a bother when I download and then forget what mods works with echoter.

Also using skyrim nexus mod manager for the nexus mods is great but I tend to mess things up so the game goes black screen on me. Wich in turn forces me to reinstall everything untill I find the problem again and again.

So this was just something I asked if it could be possible just out of lazyness I suppose. :)

Not asking for a torrent of Skyrim since that would be illegal.

As I said I was just thiking if this could be done to easier download some of the mods that works together getting them in a batch for instance.

Said mod needs other mod to work correctly. Adding all said mods in a batch would help greatly.

But it was just an idea :)

Game crashes generally does not mean reinstall if you know what you are doing. If your game crashes download and run TES5EDIT it will tell you if any of your mods are missing masters or the master is below the one needing it to be above it. Use LOOT for load order sorting use TES5EDIT after to make sure load order is good.

Read authors pages or at least the first post where you download their stuff from and look for conflicts and other things listed on their page. Try not to add a crap ton of high script using mods to your game too many can cause problems as well as high graphic things. Clean any mod as well as any DLC with TES5EDIT unless stated by the author not to or it will break their mod because the dirty edits are needed for their mod to run.

If you are willing to try you might consider using MO for Skyrim. It is heavily supported for that game and most members here use it for Skyrim (as well as other mods). The reason I mention this is each mod is separate. You don't harm the DAta folder and no need to reinstall. ;).

Now for NMM. Unless you install mods like enb's you don' thave to "reinstall" the mods. You only need to clean the data folder. Remove all the files except those that came with the game (main game and dlcs ) folders esps etc. Then verify cache and you are good for a new start. for SKSE you will need to reinstall it again considering there is a data folder with it but that is minor issue.  However this only works if you have fast net or some added time to wait.

myuhinny is correct. Try to do some if not all of the above. It will make a difference. Once you clean the masters and some mods .. make a copy of it for later installation. Using NMM you will eventually need to reinstall even if it is just to be sure that there isn't some random files causing problems.

No problem. You will find despite our perversion factors here on LL we are quite willing to assist anyone willing to help themselves with the complexities of mod installation. After all how can we spread perversions if the users can't install the mods. ;). :P

This will never work. even with game pack like this still require the use off different tools in order to set skyrim up. in the end you will be better off just download the mods manually.

ok so I will just see what works together and download that hopefully I will get it right. If not I will just looka around the forum for help.

There are many tutorials that can help. Some are in my sig. If you still have questions or problems and can't find an answer (google) feel free to post. In time this will become easier and it is really essential that you start to learn the moddng process. Helps in the future.

Using Mod Organizer would help immensely. It shows problems at a glance and lets you choose what overwrites what without the order of installation mattering at all. I'll never play Bethesda games again without it.
