This is my current liked song list on spotify.  It's kinda old and there are songs I dont listen to. Generally, the closer it is to the top, the newer my interest is in the song. Aside from all the new slipknot at the top. I had a helper at my work for a couple weeks and I had to fuck him up with some slipknot in the van between jobs.

Hi 2011) 2023 is here.. at the moment the White Stripes, the Elephant. Music apart from lyrics, while voice is the leading musical instrument. The combination of frequencies, tone, amplitude, distance in between - that very special dynamicly harmonized pattern... Sonic Mayhem - Quake 2, Beethoven, Bach, you know - ordinary classics of all times) something that makes me feel and then makes me wonder

two possible explanations for the audience behavior other than allowed or forced:

1. The late 80s, early 90s ironic detachment. i.e. "O.K. Mr. Music Man , show me what you got".

2. They were simply listening to the music, rather than playing the T.V. role of "The Audience".

Possibly, though I think it was more "This is state approved music, ho hum" vs "Now this is subversive decadent western capitalist music that we weren't allowed to listen to" response.

I like music from this era and genre (Arlo Guthrie, etc.) but......Janis's and Bob Dylan's voice just.........both are accomplished musicians, no doubt but I always switch the station when they come on.

Voices in rock are unique, if you really listen to them, they are not the average voice out there. I love the music by Joe Walsh but have you heard him speak?! That Voice is what makes his music great.
