I installed Better Vampires, Dynamic Vampire Appearance and Deadly Drain and looked forward to befriend Serena. Two times i got infected with Sanguinare Vampiris but cured myself by praying accidentally at an altar Now there is PSQ and the Transformation Package and it looks really awesome and now i am stuck with the decision. Both "incarnations" bring lots of spells a metamorphose and more cool features so thought to decide based on the balancing and SL interaction. So i am interested especially in the drawbacks and SL interaction of either incarnation: Vampires (Better Vampires/DVA/Deadly Drain): Sun Damage/Weakness Hostility (if not fully fed) SL interaction by Deadly Drain (feeding) A Skill-Tree ... PSQ: Weaknesses? much SL interaction ... So what should i play?

Doombot7 Posted July 17, 2015 Posted July 17, 2015 Can't say anything about PSQ becouse i havent played, but i am curently playing a Vampire frost knight, with deadly drain, better vampires and Shaydows VampireLord Overhaul and i can say a few things. First if youre using Sanguine debauchery dont use deatly drain to kill your owner, if you do he may not have the Master key and it may make all enemies permanently non-hostile (no matter how much you chop them). You can use the Live Another Life mod to start as a VampireLord in castle Volkahir. As for "balancing" you may need to tweak few spells if your palying on higher difficulties (i'm playing on legendary with few mods that increase the difficulty), but i'm having a lot of fun roleplaying a vampire.

Plus it was developed on a professional level. The succubus-related mods come from private modders, all with their own ideas and agenda to adhere to. I'm not saying that "official mods / work" is better - I lack the skills to evaluate the degree of professionalism in the official, compared to private mods. But I'm sure it's easier to make something work when you build the whole game around it, instead of adding or replacing to it. Too technical for the matter at hand, anyway. Better vampires is a great mod - and it addapts to the evolvement of the player character within the game (e.g. amarant feeding). As for SL interaction: that's beyond the immersive aspect (no succubi in Skyrim, so lore-breaking - personal taste is the question here).

I think i will go the lorefriendly way for the moment =)
BigOnes69 Posted July 17, 2015 Posted July 17, 2015 Better Vampires has more scripting problems and compatibility issues than say Psq Succubus. PSQ is more character controllable with being able to adjust individual stats. Better Vampires when not if a problem occurs is less friendly to recover, you do not lose your level but often its easier to go back to an earlier save. PSQ leveling is far more stable and easier to understand. I use both and the game without either is far less appealing. I wish someone would create a mod like in Oblivion comparible with the Chingari's Demon Race that was an awesome race mod.

I started a fresh game with LAL direct into beeing a vamp and i find the spells more annoying then cool. A start with drain and calm would be enough for me for the start. Also are a number of spells pretty redundant when using defeat etc. Then i ran into problems with the nightvision toggle... I think i should give PSQ a try What PSQ version do you use? Should i start with 2.17 and the Transform Package or straight go to 2.91 and do a custom install(with the hooves for example) or is this problematic?

Having sex increases satiation, but if you have "infusion" enabled, it takes some fo your satiation and gives it to whoever you are having sex with, if you are in the dominant (male) role. If you are int he sub (female) role, you drain cum from your target and it adds to your satiation. Wulf

Wulf Haha, now things get rollin - Brainstorming ftw =) At the moment i´m loading Succubus Race and see if i can use some ressources for my transformation. Anyway the mod seems to be what i was looking for in the way of simplicity (Transformation, Drain, Seduction, Vision) and you can still become a vampire.
hexenhaus Posted July 18, 2015 Author Posted July 18, 2015 Now i´m testing Succubus Race with Deadly Drain and dialogue-driven- and Defeat-sex. I customized Succubus Race bodies and i like it. I might wait for the 3.0 release of PSQ, but so far this "light" approach is just fine for the moment =)
