datjellyman Posted June 14, 2015 Posted June 14, 2015 Hello people, I am wondering what places in the vanilla game have the best lighting for taking screenshots. I also want to know of any mods that have good lighting.
Erundil Posted June 14, 2015 Posted June 14, 2015 - forest just outside of Riverwood (on the way to Helgen) - wherebouts of lake Ilinalta (most popular lake in Skyrim) - practically anywhere outside if 3 conditions are met: 1. no snow around, 2. good weather, 3. time between 7am-2pm
QueuedResonance Posted June 14, 2015 Posted June 14, 2015 Sovngarde once you beat Alduin, though thats more like best weather.
myuhinny Posted June 14, 2015 Posted June 14, 2015 Another way is to make your own lighting. Use the console to add some torches to your inventory then start dropping them 1 at a time off and on one of the dropped torches will be light it is best to just have 5 in the inventory as any higher will give you a group drop option which would make it slower then just dropping 1 at a time. Pick up the ones that are not burning and repeat till you have the lighting where you want it. You can also use the grab button to move the torches around. It can also be done with other light fixtures.

myuhinny Posted June 14, 2015 Posted June 14, 2015 Your welcome I have used it quite a bit you don't have to have the torches in your hand just drop them from the inventory and off and on one of the dropped ones will light up getting them positioned where you want them can be a pain at times especially when trying to grab one and end up kicking it instead.
spoonsinger Posted June 14, 2015 Posted June 14, 2015 A good read @ http://www.rockpapershotgun.com/2014/01/08/gold-in-them-hills-skyrim-in-2014/ if looking for tips.
NiaticLabs Posted June 16, 2015 Posted June 16, 2015 http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/23574/?Helpful to get lighting at angles. Plus Fun as HELL to fire at night thru the woods
pringles89 Posted June 16, 2015 Posted June 16, 2015 are you taking screenshots of characters? if so, i would recommend lighting mod called rail light from 3dm http://bbs.3dmgame.com/thread-4212537-1-1.html
afa Posted June 16, 2015 Posted June 16, 2015 Depending on the flavor you are going after, I find the temples in Whiterun, Windhelm, and Solitude mostly looks pretty good inside, I think they actually change base on day time or night. Dragonsreach entrance area, main hall, and Farengar area also.
