galgat Posted May 16, 2015 Author Posted May 16, 2015 The end of the Dragonborn DLC Main Quest. You have a character with the best Weapons and Armor, You beat down Miraak in one hit and the Game is glitched. Reload the last Save where Our character has just read "Waking Dreams" I remember a probelem with that quest at the end, for me it was that I could not ride the dragon. seems like I had the wrong skeleton for the dragon or something, I can't remember everything about it, but as I recall I had to swap out the dragon skeleton for another one. Don't remember all the details's but I think it was a bethesda mix up, or it may have been self inflicked.. been awhile sense I did it. I did finally get it to let me ride the dragon, and managed to finish it.
Veladarius Posted May 18, 2015 Posted May 18, 2015 For some reason the buggiest quest for me is the quest to kill the Bandit Boss at Valtheim Keep. It keeps giving me the quest even though he is dead and has not reset, the quest marker just points to the spot on the top of the tower where he usually stands.
cLegion Posted May 20, 2015 Posted May 20, 2015 I think, it's main quest, where fight with alduin near a partunax.

If the Dragonborn has completed the quest for Amren's Sword at the towers before receiving the Companions quest Trouble in Skyrim, returning prior to the bandits respawning will glitch the game and the player will be unable to complete the quest line for the Companions. Companions Trouble in Skyrim. I never had this one, but I saw it in the wiki's about it. [sometimes when the bandit leader is killed this location will not be marked as cleared. Reloading a save and killing him again does not solve this problem.] Use the Console command setlocationcleared 000192c1 1 to force the game to mark it as cleared.
interactive8 Posted May 20, 2015 Posted May 20, 2015 If DLC count as well, then final quest from dragoborn, where you have to fight wirh Miraak, i still can't make it to work right, even with all the unnofical and offical patches and tweaks >_>. Dragons is flying everywhere like retard and don't land down, or miraak is immortal, or many other If not then White Phail, for some reason it's bugged as hell for me and it ends always on first stage, and the oldman just lay in the bed and dying all eternity. I even tried to put him out of his misery but that's a hard piece of elf, he didn't seemed impressed even after i casted fire storm on him. Also all mod quests related to this one, that should start after i complete the White Phail quest, (at last that what description of mod says) for some reason starts before >_> i even manage to complete 1 stage.

Coopervane Posted May 20, 2015 Posted May 20, 2015 Just recalled a few small things which consistantly bug out for me.. First Lessons, notably the part where Tolfdir wants you to stand on the seal opposite him and use your ward, this always bugs out for me on the first attempt. You go over to the marker, you cast your ward, and his dialog instantly repeats telling you to do it again. It's thankfully a benign little bug that is easilly fixed just by walking away from the spot and back again, and then the scene will trigger after that. But it certainly does get annoying. Reluctant Steward. Varona's corpse has a seemingly random chance of not spawning. Or rather, she has a nasty tendancy to get axed off by a script too soon, and then her body get's auto-purged before the script that's supposed to move it over to the Ash-Spawn can get to it. This one requires console commands to fix The Golden Claw. Why is it so hard for Camilla to walk the short distance from the store to the bridge? Seems like there's a 70% chance she'll stall at the Inn, and then i have to get right up in her grill to nudge her along, a few steps at a time, to get her the rest of the way. Really annoying. There is that chicken infront of the Inn, hmm, i wonder.. i might have to try something before taking that quest the next time i start a game..

I completed the main story only one time, and i wouldn't ever again touch it at all if dragoborn dlc wouldn't require me to get to certain early point in story >_>. So long in... ingorance, i wish i would have known about it sooner . If only main story wouldn't contain milions spawning dragons breaking my gameplay >_>, i wish to be a bard? Boom dragon. I wish quest wouldn't require you to get further in story than escaping from helgen to appear. These never endings dragons really bugs me off. There's a fix for that, it's called "Timing is everything", and i can warmly recommend it. Basically it lets you fudge around with how and when a whole bunch of quests get triggered (tired of finding Meredia's beakon at the start of every game? Make the quest only start when you're level 50!), aswell other nice things, like tweaking Dragon and Vamp spawn timers, let you encounter Wervolves before having done the Companions questline, ensure that the Thalmor won't send hitsquads after you till you've done the Embassy quest, and so on and so forth. Just beeing able to delay certain quests till you're higher level is nice enough, but tweaking Dragon spawns has improved the game a ton for me. The bloomin' things are scripted to spawn every 3 days per default, 3 days in Skyrim.. that fly's by before you even know it, which is why it feels like you can't go anywhere without fighting yet another Dragon. Previously i was using a mod that just outright removes random Dragon spawns, but that was also a bit iffy, since you do kinda need the souls. But with this, i set them to spawn every 20 days instead of 3, with a 50% chance of spawning or not. 20 days, and the spawn isen't even garuenteed? I've only fought a couple random Dragons in this game (level 27, in vanilla i would have killed a whole fleet of them by now), and each time one did appear, it came as a genuine suprice and actually felt engaging for a change. Making them rare really does improve the game.
galgat Posted May 21, 2015 Author Posted May 21, 2015 I used a little mode called NoRandomDragons, it can probably be googled. It only allows the main quest dragons, and you don't have to fool with the random one's. I hardly ever see any Dragon, except the Main story one's with is on. Its a very simple mod, and it works wonders. I got tired of trying to explore, and getting in a fight with a dragon, every seem like 4 or 5 min's. If need dragon soul's just trun it of for a little bit, you get plenty. then turn it back on. I have been using this mod for a couple of year's. never conflicts with anything, and always at the bottom of load order. EDIT I will have to look at that Timing is everything. that sounds really good too. But with the norandomdragons mod the game has been much less nerve raking...

At last i can continue my adventures without becomeing dragoborn, over and over again >_>. NoRandomDragons sounds good to, i would even go further and get something like ,,OnlyStoryDragons" or something like that. I'm not very fond of beeing dragoborn, there are hundreds of possibilites, and always you must be damn dragon slayer, meh, so the Timing is everything, should be perfect . Maybe one they i will rebuild my relationship with dragons, invite them to my love boat, and slay some for the sake of love, but for now i will keep them as far as possible.
Guest endgameaddiction Posted May 21, 2015 Posted May 21, 2015 When I was on Skyrim it was Dawnguard DLC. I would get two random guards following me. Kill them and eventually after a day or two they would respawn and follow me again in and out of zones. Even after completing the whole storyline there they were, randomly spawning. I had to do a new play through just to get them to leave me alone. Didn't bother with looking for a fix for it. Went back to my FO3.
Suludi Posted May 21, 2015 Posted May 21, 2015 Trying to get Falion to cure my vampire. The game crashed. after. every. single. sentence. I think I needed twelve attempts to go through this thing. I don't bother with Blood on the Ice anymore. I'm not interested in Hjerim, and the only thing the quest is good for is that I can steal the Unusual Gem while Wuunferth is in prison. But I admit I was surprised to see Susanna the Wicked actually walking around alive on my first day in Windhelm. I've only always seen her dead. (Okay, this isn't a bug.)
yatol Posted May 21, 2015 Posted May 21, 2015 Damn, for real? most of those "broken" quests are broken by mods, or aren't even broken (it's just a fail to check to uespwiki to know what you need to do to complete it) most overtimate loot too, it only decide what mod win the load order, it can't do miracle, a fail mod stay a fail mod many are breaking their game themself too some upload "clean" save at nexus, the ones that use that are only asking for problems many mods require a new game because a lot of things get in the save, and the save is the last esp when they load a "clean" save that was made without dawnguard and dragonborn, they break things in dawnguard and dragonborn, and it probably get rid of some fix from the unof patch too some can't do waking nightmare above did it without much mods some years ago, then with sperg, skyre, perkus, requiem... never had any problem with it don't know what they have that break that quest, but i don't have it follower defeated while the npc can't even attack
BeamerMiasma Posted May 22, 2015 Posted May 22, 2015 The Golden Claw. Why is it so hard for Camilla to walk the short distance from the store to the bridge? Seems like there's a 70% chance she'll stall at the Inn, and then i have to get right up in her grill to nudge her along, a few steps at a time, to get her the rest of the way. Really annoying. If you just ignore her chatter and run ahead of her to the bridge, she will sprint after you quite quickly For me the most bugged are: 1. Karliah walking away from the gate before the Nocturnal nightingale scene. In approx 25 play throughs, this has worked correctly twice for me, and failed every other time. 2. Serana constantly getting locked in sneaking position when she's following. 3. Various house improvements not showing up after paying for them (Breezehome alchemy lab/children's room, Honeyside Enchanter's table). Both are fairly easily solved in the console though. The worst bug I encountered was Serana not showing up at all at Fort Dawnguard after you drop her off at Castle Volkihar and refuse Harkon's offer. This happened to me twice and is a game-breaking bug, there seems to be no way to fix it in the console and it stops the complete Dawnguard quest line dead in its tracks with no way to continue.
SilusCrow Posted May 22, 2015 Posted May 22, 2015 The Forsworn Conspiracy and No One Escapes Cidhna Mine, though that's mostly 'cause apparently some mod I have on makes all the NPCs related to the quest like...super-essential. Not even a console kill command will kill them or keep them dead (and taking away essential doesn't work either). A Daedra's Best Friend gave me a bunch of lock-ups (where the game would freeze but the audio would stay). Honestly I just wanted the blasted Rueful Axe and didn't want to grab it via console.
bekvon Posted May 23, 2015 Posted May 23, 2015 The bug that comes to mind for me is in Redwater Den. After drinking the redwater skooma from the dealer at the desk, you wake up in a jail cell with some vampire trying to enthrall you or somthing. For some reason, the conversation usually tends to bug out for me, and I just get stuck unable to move or do anything at all. Even opening the console and using the kill command on the vampire doesn't seem to fix it. I've come to avoid the problem by not drinking the skooma and just running through redwater killing all the vampires instead.
Youwish1 Posted May 23, 2015 Posted May 23, 2015 Most annoying bug I've come across was in the quest where you trap paarthurnax, it took me like 2 hours to fix the damn thing....what was so annoying was no matter what happened NPCS would always see him as hostile even after dialogue and would constantly attack him. Had to use a plethora of console commands to fix it.
cordate Posted May 26, 2015 Posted May 26, 2015 Blood on the Ice, of course. And for some reason Heljarchen Hall never builds properly for me- pieces of it always turn up at Lakeview Manor's site. People have discovered that various mods that affect spawn points can cause it, but I've never been able to find the one(s) in my playthroughs that are responsible. Some day I should try a strictly-vanilla quick playthrough to see if it works properly without mods. And there was the frustration back in the old days where Esbern wouldn't open his hideout's door.
