Odessa Posted March 5, 2015 Posted March 5, 2015 View File Let's not beat around the bush, everyone wants sex but not everyone wants a baby 9 months down the line. Sure, "you should have used contraception", or "couldn't you have gotten an abortion?", all too commonly, it is a bit late for that. Horror stories are whispered of babies being discarded in dumpsters or sold to cannibals, but we pretend not hear them and tell ourselves "What else can be done? It's not my problem. It can't really be that bad". Until now. Introducing: Orphan Tycoon --- Now you can find a new home for your unwanted little urchins, and hopefully feel a little less guilty about it. - Sister Assumpta can be found at the old Mormon Fort, and runs an orphanage in Freeside. - The Legion run orphanages in the East, and Marcus Drusus at the Fort is always interested to acquire new souls. --- Requirements Sexout Pregnancy NVSE 4.5 or later Submitter Odessa Submitted 03/05/2015 Category Other Requires Pregnancy, NVSE 4.5+
NicoleDragoness Posted March 5, 2015 Posted March 5, 2015 Nice idea. Feels so ... "good behaviour". I suppose that, even it doesn't involves sex actions, it's here because dependencies from Sexout Pregnancy?
Odessa Posted March 5, 2015 Author Posted March 5, 2015 Yes, it requires SCR for the baby items that you can now give away, but obviously nothing sexual is featured or implied.
spoonsinger Posted March 5, 2015 Posted March 5, 2015 Nice idea. Feels so ... "good behaviour". I suppose that, even it doesn't involves sex actions, it's here because dependencies from Sexout Pregnancy? I suppose if you don't want to have the pregnancy dependancy but still want an orphange you could install The Inheritance. (Esther 'runs' one in that).
NicoleDragoness Posted March 5, 2015 Posted March 5, 2015 Esther's one is not "exactly" an orphanage. I played Inheritance several times and in this new game sessions I should still start it. My great sadness is I cannot kill, torture, slay, burn her almost immediately! (without loosing the kids).
KainsChylde Posted March 5, 2015 Posted March 5, 2015 I think I may have the rudimentary architecture plugin I started for my Orphanage mod, along with a concept doc of stuff I had planned. I got a little ambitious for my skill level, but will gladly turn it over to someone who knows what they're doing. If you're interested, hit me up and I'll fire off some files/links.
KainsChylde Posted March 5, 2015 Posted March 5, 2015 I've been searching my hard drive and online storage ever since making that post, and I'm afraid I spoke too soon. Unless Ashal can access archived versions of one of the threads I started on the subject with attached files, I'm afraid my stuff is gone. Not losing much, I hadn't got very far, but it would have been a start.

My great sadness is I cannot kill, torture, slay, burn her almost immediately! (without loosing the kids). Indeed, (but she does appear later). However Sister Assumpta does look totally Enclave, (and is also hanging around somewhere with another Enclave bod). So when shes says 'an oprhange down the street', (or whatever), I do have the feeling she means a 'pre war facility with a couple of vats of FEV'. (ps hope your rebuild is going well. If you are going to do it again, (and don't code), I would probably suggest the Mod Organizer route just for less hair pulling).
Wired Posted March 8, 2015 Posted March 8, 2015 Will Great Khans actually set their own orphanage as well as in Bitter-Springs for good player's rep for khans and NCR in future? I heard they have problems with population.

Guest marieruth Posted March 13, 2015 Posted March 13, 2015 This is interesting. This mod will be the mod that makes me want to get a pregnancy mod. Not much fun having unwanted crotchfruit sticking around...
Odessa Posted March 13, 2015 Author Posted March 13, 2015 I'll see about adding something for the Great Khans and Bitter Springs refugee camp. I like the idea of camp searchlight, maybe with a speech check you can pretend you found the baby in the ruins and pawn it off on the NCR captain outside.

I've thought on the other way, like giving them to the NCR ghoul trooper in searchligh town house...... And maybe Boxcar at Nipton...... He looks so bore just sitting there all by himself after his leg broke, maybe he could have some fun with all those kids we giving to him......
Odessa Posted March 13, 2015 Author Posted March 13, 2015 Neither of them seem equipped to deal with parenthood. I think "tortured escaped convict on-the-run with a broken leg, who's just trying his best to be a good father" definitely has scope to make a good story, and similar for the other, but it would be hard to write.
KainsChylde Posted March 13, 2015 Posted March 13, 2015 Boxcars' legs aren't just broken, they're permanently crippled. So even if he was willing to take on orphan children I don't see it going well with him unable to stand. And while Private Edwards might be a more sympathetic foster parent, I don't see an infant surviving the ghoulifacation process.

Well theres always Ghoul or Animal/ Mutunts baby on the slot...(Specially the new SOpreg beta now includes non human pregnecy.) For those who can't and won't be able to accapt into towns, they should have a place to go too...
Destynova99 Posted April 3, 2015 Posted April 3, 2015 This is awesome, in my current game I'm playing a Legion girl and all these Legionaries are doing their best to impregnate my PC and I was thinking "When I start having babies to deal with, can I give them to anyone in the Legion?" And now I can. Excellent.
stonefisher Posted April 25, 2016 Posted April 25, 2016 Love the idea of this mod, Wasn't sure what I would do with all the offspring from pregnancyv3 but this answers that problem though when I tried it it did not seem to work. When I got pregnant I ended up with triplets. I took them to the sister in freeside and she agreed to take them but they did not leave my inv. Later on when they became children I talked to her again but was not presented the opportunity to dump them there. I will probably try again when my avatar gets pregnant for real and not while testing the mod.
