Sexlab for a complete Playthrough?

I really love Skyrim and I love immersion. I love Girls and I love Sexlab.

Do you think, that Sexlab can be used for a complete Playthrough?

What mods would you use?

 

There's nothing better than cleaning out a cave and give your follower a great fuck.

Or kill vampires in Whiterun and fuck every girl around you.

 

Do you Sexlab for testing Mods or do you use it on your current game?

 

My Point is, that some Sexlab Mods are very unstable (CTD, Many Scripts etc)

I'm trying to play Skyrim through, the problem is only that after a few weeks there are enough new mods/mod updates out which i want to try that i have to restart again.

So i am playing through normal Skyrim about 20-50% i guess before that happens. Usually my characters are around Level 20-35 when i can't resist to restart again.

Overall Sexlab is getting more and more stable imho, just try to resist the urge to try alpha versions of new mods.

And i can't imagine playing Skyrim without Sexlab. Usually i am playing normal, so it can go on for hours without any real sexlab content (maybe one fuck every 1-2 days to reduce arousal), but if i loose fights or find cursed chests this very often evolves into a very interesting and long game on its own, taking sometimes hours to escape the slavery and recover.

 

So i'd say it's about 70% normal skyrim and 30% sexlab in my playing, myself especially enjoying the bad scenarios which can happen through SD, Defeat, Cursed Loot etc. etc., making the adventure truly heroic by mixing it with tragedy

Sexlab by itself is very stable and shouldn't cause any real issues during a lengthy play-through. What will get you into trouble is all the mods you may want to tack on in order to get the best Sexlab experience possible, but if you're only looking to get a little lovin' on the side with followers and other NPCs (as in, just casual but consensual sex) that isn't going to put much of a strain on your load order. So unless your computer is already struggling under the weight of other script-heavy mods, you should be more than fine!

 

Ultimately, the stability of your run comes down to how you balance your mods against what your PC can handle. Other than the mods here which specifically mention being alphas, betas, etc., Loverslab mods are very stable... at least as stable as any other script mods you're likely to download.

My most recent playthrough was a fairly serious playthrough (no main story but I ended up in charge of most of the guilds and at least a thane in the majority of holds) and it utilized a large number of Devious Devices mods to add both sexual content along with increased difficult/tension.  So IMO it's definitely doable. 

 

At this point I'm actually testing a lot of mods on my (craptastic) computer to see if they're adding something to the experience that I could see finding interesting throughout an extended playthrough AND are stable with my system.  For example, I took a chance on the somewhat outdated 'Radiant Prostitution Tweaked' because while I like 'TDF Prostitution' I was worried about the added content of the most recent version (allowing customers to specify what they'd like to do with and/or to your character) could potentially create some issues with Devious Devices and basically wanted to take a different prostitution mod for a test drive.  I actually quit liked RPTs approach to its subject but it took me less than an hour to run into scripting issues so I won't be using it for a serious playthrough (though if it's ever resurrected I'd definitely give it another shot).  This also made me realize that I hadn't used TDF Prostitution that much during my previous playthrough and as such I am currently considering trimming it from my loadout and relying on 'Deviously Cursed Loot' and 'Submit' (still test driving this too) for initiating sexual encounters. 

 

In general I would say that there are a lot of Sexlab mods that are both stable and add to the overall experience to be worth including in complete and/or serious runs.

I've used it on longer playthroughs, about level 88 was the highest i think i've got on a single playthrough before starting again due to mods being updated.

 

As mentioned though a lot of mods get updated quite regularly and its updating stuff mid play that usually causes problems

For complete playthroughs, I usually only use consensual Sexlab stuff - Amorous Adventures and the like. Never had a problem with stability or anything (and I use a shitton of other non-sexlab immersion and quest mods). Most non-consensual stuff doesn't cause problems either.

There's the occasional 'CTD when trying to load a game', but it's nothing you can't handle with a bit of patience and frequent saving.

 

Sexlab itself has become pretty stable. Although as someone already mentioned, with all the new mods and updates coming out...you'll probably end up starting a new game anyway to try them out. That's my problem, too, along with switching between my 'tame' playthrough and my 'get fucked by ALL the things' playthrough.

 

Just give it a try, I say. If you manage to fuck shit up, you'll notice soon enough.

If You want a lot of mods you are going to have to set up the main engine right and fine tune it. Skse and support mods for skse. Mod organizer is a start. Learn how to use enb. Real Vision enb page has some links to setup pages and suggests other pages for reading at Nexus. I did everything there and have ran several characters above level 50 moving on becuase of fresh start mods. I have a bunch of characters I can still go back and play. You will need to learn to use save tool correctly for those buggy hard to get rid of mods. It will let you delete scripts from your saves put there by hard to get rid of mods.  All the unofficial patches and static mesh improvements mod. Papyrus tools and some other papyrus support mods. Some of the pages referred by Real Vision have very good reads on .ini files including the SKSE ini setup. Brawl plugs patch etc...  Nothing is going to beat a solid up to date computer system if you can afford it. With the right setup even the buggy mods will run on your system it just takes time to figure out the correct setup. For me Oblivion, Skyrim, Fallout3 are core games that I will continue to play for years so putting in the time to figure this stuff out is well worth it. For you thats a decesion you will have to make.

HA HA not sure then i end the main quest in skyrim but sex allways on board.
When you use the mods right you get gold for dead thiefs and other stuff...  
Ohhh Jarl say he is sorry that streetrobber xyl is dead but he left you xxx gold.
And scripts mhh have over 1700 runing and more. This mods are in use in moment

I think, i'll not use any sexlab mod.. I just went to Whiterun and Ysolda and some other NPC's were stuck in their house. Happend to be before. But I don't know wich mod causes that.

I have played completely through the game several times with Sexlab and various assortments of mods installed.  I have even (gasp) updated mods mid game and generally don't have any difficulties. 

 

I don't know of any Sexlab mods which would confine Ysolda and other NPCs to their houses though I recall the mod "When Vampires Attack"  being bugged and locking NPCs away.

I've done a lot of stuff in my first playthrough with mods. I literally installed tens of mods during the playthrough, including sexlab ones. Many things went right (I'd say most mods worked well installing in the middle of the game), but I had some troubles and had to learn most skyrim console commands because of that. Some quests bugged completely, Lydia stopped being able to follow me as a companion, new NPCs had the grey face bug, etc, all unsolvable stuff that had to be left alone while I continued to play.

 

I recommend having a test save to find out if all the mods are working, or to test mods you don't know what they do. This is preferably early in the game or in a new game (use Alternate Start to get quickly in action). If said mod changes vanilla content that you haven't seen yet in your playthrough, it's safe to install it midgame.

 

As for my playthrough, yes I use it for normal gameplay. Defeat, Random Sex and Romance have pretty much all the mechanics necessary to keep me entertained =)

It definitely works for a serious playthrough. Granted, I only run Submit, Aroused redux and DD Assets + Integration, but I've been running them on a 160hr game, and I've updated Sexlab itself from 1.3+ to 1.59c about 3 times in the middle of my playthrough. The game's still very stable for me, so yeah, definitely fine to run it on a serious playthrough unless you're loaded to the brim with highly script intensive mods already.

I said before that I have loaded Sexlab and some add-on mods for complete play throughs but I also have to admit that I have not tried a full play through with the "Slaverun + Slaverun Enforcer" pair of mods installed even though I authored the enforcer add on mod. 

 

There are mods like those that really only play well for as long as their own content lasts and should only be considered for a partial run or added to an existing run but the save from before the mod was added should be kept so that once you have played through the content of that mod it can and should be removed and your original play through resumed from the point before the mod was added. 

 

Once you've played through the game a few times it's really a lot more fun to try out the new mods to explore the content they added than it is to again grind through a series of quests that you now know all too well.

The question shouldn't be "Is it possible to" but rather "Do you want to", and as long as your answer is yes, there's nothing that'll stop you from doing it. The fact is, the only difference between a mod from Nexus and a mod from LL is from where you downloaded it. If you were to take a normal mod and a kinky mod with the same script impact, nothing would change at all.

 

Then it becomes what kind of sex mods do you want in a complete playthrough :

 

-Some people will go for only light and consensual stuff so they can have some fun on the road with their companions or at home with their wife/husband every now and then, that way they don't get constantly interrupted by sex everywhere.

-Others prefer to make Skyrim a harsh and dangerous place by using rape and defeat mods. Coupled with STDs and/or pregnancy, suddenly raiding a bandit camp because slightly more dangerous than "If I die I'll just reload".

-Then there's the ones that simply install everything while yelling "Screw you Bethesda, I'll make my own Skyrim, with blackjack and hookers!"

 

Obviously you can mix n' match as much as you want, since in the end, all that truely matters is what won't you get bored of. Is concensual sex only gonna be enough for you? Will rape mods become annoying in the end (i.e. you end up simply reloading every time)? How many times can you get stuck in Devious Devices before it becomes a chore? Which quest mods actually fit my character? These are all things you have to consider before starting your playthrough. Just like any other mods really (every new game I do the same with stuff like Frostfall or iNeed).

I used it on one playthrough, I plan to do it again but I am waiting for a few mods to be finished and out of beta. Defeat being a big one but there is a couple of others. Then I will give it another play through only this time I will completely avoid the main story arc.

I would advise to keep it simple. Don't try to slap every mod you see into it, and make a dummy game to test stability after each mod.

That being said, you can definitely have a lot of mods for a 'regular' playthrough, that's the way I use it. Just make sure they all work together first.

I have played completely through the game several times with Sexlab and various assortments of mods installed.  I have even (gasp) updated mods mid game and generally don't have any difficulties.

As a general rule updating a mod where there have been changes to NPC ai doesn't seem to work terribly well but pretty much everything else is fine.

 

Basic rule of thumb is always keep a backup and test the mod (or update) first before continuing with your game

just finisht a complete playtrough. lvl 105, finisht all vanillia quest, all 3dnpc quests and a few more  added by mods. no minor bugs.

sexlab mods installed: defeat, sexlab romance, amorouse advantures and sex slaves.

On top of the mods that other folks have mentioned (in one big Sexlab mod script orgy) and script intensive mods like Vilja in Skyrim and Inigo,I haven't had any problems on a complete playthrough using even Milk Mod Economy which required Sexlab Aroused,not even a momentary lag in script triggering.

I've actually had more difficulty with Bethesda Softwork's own Hearthfire Building Scripts and their Dawnguard Vampire scripts than with the later edition Sexlab mods save for one of the more recent versions of Sexlab Cumshot which broke the ability to fast travel. I removed it and reverted to a previous version and haven't had anymore trouble.

 

One version of the College Dropout/Schoolgirl uniform had a world edit that prevented entry into Whiterun,so one has as much to worry about with certain improperly tested non-Sexlab mods than one does with Sexlab related mods.

 

You will have to make a choice when it comes to certain mods,though. Maids 2: Deception is one of the script heaviest mods that I have ever used,causing script lag with just a few basic Sexlab mods (counting Schlongs of Skyrim). No matter how tempted you may be to use a full suite of Sexlab mods with that mod,you should reconsider it.

I'd like to look at it as the maids' way of discouraging folks from getting frisky with the sanitation crew. They aren't sex workers,after all. Who could blame them?
