Blackbryre Posted February 7, 2012 Posted February 7, 2012 http://www.creationkit.com/Main_Page The site seems a bit overloaded atm.
Kraxon Posted February 7, 2012 Posted February 7, 2012 Available under the view/tools menu in Steam. 85Megs Hm. I can't seem to find it there. What's it's name exactly? O.O Edit: I got it! Took me to end and start steam again.
Guest Donkey Posted February 7, 2012 Posted February 7, 2012 crap is there anywhere else to download ??? steam server is too slow.. texture is gonna take days to download 3GB.. creation kit is just pointing me to steam workshop anyone got a direct link ?? unable to download texture pack it keep pausing itself..
AzOutback Posted February 7, 2012 Author Posted February 7, 2012 Hm. I can't seem to find it there. What's it's name exactly? O.O May need to shut down and restart Steam. I had to.Just titled Creation Kit. Getting hammered hard too, I averaged 3-4Kb/s.
Ryanhabs Posted February 7, 2012 Posted February 7, 2012 ^^ what storm said. It wasnt showing up until I closed all the way out of steam and restarted it. Then "creation kit" was staring me right in the face.
Kraxon Posted February 7, 2012 Posted February 7, 2012 Yep, I got it! Thanks! Now I only have to learn to use it.
DorkDiva Posted February 7, 2012 Posted February 7, 2012 Putting to gether my eye additions right now, I like this kit better than the CS for oblivion.(edit) Actually after using it and it refusing to let me upload my mod after hundreds of attempts I changed my mind, I hate it. Guess my Skyrim mods will be just for me to see and use.
HanPL Posted February 7, 2012 Posted February 7, 2012 Well It will be out in 1~2 days in here like with all the patches... >.> But don't really care right now since I don't play Skyrim anymore Soon Mass Effect 3 ^^
ArchangelicaStar Posted February 7, 2012 Posted February 7, 2012 Finally about to start my first foray into modding, thanks to the release of this. Since I'm planning to get in on the ground floor with courting/pregnancy/childbirthing mods, that new Association Type field is going to be very helpful. Going to have to spend some time pouring over those scripts, to see how they might compliment interaction. Also eager to figure out which scripts allowed a positional, actor-related sync like when the captain marries up to the Stormcloaks to be executed by the headsman, pushing them down, or the locational stuff that allows idles to operate in tandem with an object, like a railing, post, or bed. I have to say, this is really exciting! Anyone else who's going to be working on pregnancy/birth-related mods, send me a message, and I'll be happy to help however I can.
prideslayer Posted February 7, 2012 Posted February 7, 2012 "We didn't think it would be this popular" Just filling in for (whoever) when they explain that they've added capacity to the wiki.

The PSCs are just text files. Hooray for them being saved in normal files outside the ESP/ESM. I can hack on scripts without having to run (or install) the CK.
WitchGirl Posted February 7, 2012 Posted February 7, 2012 Do you have to have Skyrim installed through Steam to see the Creation Kit? I've re-opened Steam like six times and it's still not showing.
Guest Donkey Posted February 7, 2012 Posted February 7, 2012 texture pack is just pausing itself at 22% .. darn.
Ryanhabs Posted February 7, 2012 Posted February 7, 2012 atleast you can get to 22%... I get steam servers are too busy to process your request. Then I figure ok... I'll just poke around the CK a bit while I wait... ck refuses to open. A quick update... It seems the CK has the very same issue as Skyrim itself... neither will run when EVGA precision software is active... >.< I need my custom fan profiles to keep the gtx 580 classifieds sli cool!

If it can't find a Steam installed Skyrim, it probably thinks you don't have it, and so isn't offering you the d/l

Ryanhabs Posted February 7, 2012 Posted February 7, 2012 I'm going to go with Doc on this one and say yes, at least at this time, Yes. sooner or later someone will post it up on a random forum for people that are playing the game without steam.
