Hayleyrose2323 Posted July 26, 2014 Posted July 26, 2014 Now this could totally go down in the beauty of skyrim thread i think...But then again, it would be cool to show people your work on a modded enb. What I mean by that is... Have you ever been on the nexus looking through all them lists of ENB's even some of the more popular enb's and have said "I can make it, using another enb preset, but with less fps drops and such" Or even just modded the crap out of a already made preset and wanted to show people? Well..here you go... I was trying to explain you can totally recreate a crazy enb using a preset close to it, that uses less fps and power, but apparently, its bullshit (according to someone on youtube x.x ) My example was, a while ago I managed to recreate nova C option for realvision with matsos enb, using MXR's videos as an comparison. Mostly cuz I couldnt use the real thing..sad face.. But anyways back to the point show them modded enb screenshots(they dont have to be heavily modded either, maybe slightly, or maybe you made it your self) and if you think this thread doesnt have to be made and could pretty be much put into the beauty of skyrim page then i understand and uh..sorry? XD hehe. Ill show my heavily modded sharpshooter enb after, just doing chores at the moment >.> or..was..
Derpakiin Posted July 27, 2014 Posted July 27, 2014 I normally disable the SSAO in my ENB because it's such a huge resource hog. There's little difference with it switched on anyway. Lowering the Bokeh DOF quality slightly also helps to boost framerates. It's also worth mentioning that I've set the shadow quality to it's lowest, and there doesn't seem to be any noticeable difference in quality, but you do get a FPS boost too. So far with the adjustments I listed out, you can get a stable 60fps with the same quality (I run a GTX 780ti). Just a few tips that might help you optimize your ENB setup.
27X Posted July 27, 2014 Posted July 27, 2014 Matso's ENB's are literally works of art, and it's a shame he hasn't been able to keep up with the memory enhancing versions that have come since, cause I would be using them permanently. I find it pretty hilarious that you can get pretty close to Pure Light minus the procedural DoF with about a 300% frame rate difference (I'm not even kidding, if i turn off vsync i get 120-140 fps with matso+K-S, with Pure Light the same scene is 24-30 frames, and just looks like someone smeared KY jelly all over the screen, and this is with two Titans in SLI ) or i can get this with a full 60 vsynced. (now in full disclosure I have modded both from hell to breakfast and back, but matso's is the clear winner: clear, clean and vibrant without all OMG90SMOVIE vase;line camera highlight drying and contrast flattening that's all the current rage in Arching, not sure what adding a gray filter all over everything is, but I do know it isn't artistic unless you're making a picture in Silent Hill)
Eikichi Onizuka Posted July 27, 2014 Posted July 27, 2014 Some of the best ENB with my persoanl tweaks and more combined HQ graphics mods: tell me what you think..
Veladarius Posted July 28, 2014 Posted July 28, 2014 Here are a number of screen shots I have taken using an enb I modified quite a bit. I started the the 'Eye of the Beholder' enb and modified the light and color filters to go with the different lighting mods I am using. The DoF I use at times is custom as well, I picked up a file from the ENB forums that makes it easier to change the settings on it. I posted a number of these in Beauty of Skyrim before as well.
