Fallout crashes when speaking to NPCS (Any npc)

Okay, so I've been messing around with my game, and for some reason whenever talk to an NPC (even when starting a new game) the game crashes. Note that since I have alternate start I don't have to speak to anyone until I chose, so I have tested out several NPCS, and it's all the same.

I would first look for Dialog conflicts, this is a real common problem I run into quite a bit. I would get comfortable using FNVEdit and look at Miax and JustinOther guide on setting up a conflict filter and see what that shows. Then try to create a dialog patch of some kind, also try removing a few mods at a time and see when the problem goes away, then add them back one at a time and see when it returns. Hopefully this will help narrow down which one is casing it and why.

That's a lot of mods, how many?

The limit before things go screwy is around 139.

147 mods.  Inactive stuff counts towards your limit.  Some people have lower limits (mine is 100).  Do a search for merging mods in the Fallout Troubleshooting forum (as opposed to the Sexout troubleshooting one).

 

You've also got wsex.  There's a wsex compatibility esp (or something like that) in the Sexout Downloads section which you'll want to pick up.
