This mod adds extra creature variety by way of new monster models to lvl lists in SI, Oblivion, and Cyrodiil. It may also be used as a resource to modify as you see fit.

 

I own nothing, none of these meshes are mine, I just hit my head on the keyboard in blender a few times in this came out. All these creatures use vanilla Oblivion/SI skeletons.

 

Do these creatures work with lovers/pose mods? Yes, but some of the animations are off due to the differences in the new mesh's form from the vanilla shape. For those that do work, BYOP via nifskope.

 

I'm still newish at rigging so there will likely be issues, mostly aesthetic. Be specific (mention what model/monster) when you point out the aesthetic issues plz.

 

Requirements:

Wyre Bash

 

The mod itself should be compatible with every other mod if you just bash the thing, it just adds the new creatures into lvl lists with the relev tag.

Monster Difficulty for Playable Mod:

Random dificulty. They are made with a TIE/OWC game in mind so you can encounter a lvl 60 nightmare from Oblivion as a level one weakling or a near harmless giant fly at lvl 100.

 

Dangerous mobs are everywhere but Oblivion and SI are especially deadly.

^ Currently no, the esp is just a placeholder to show off the creatures. More of a resource. I guess I could throw together something bashable for the public in a few days, but it's balancing would be based on TIE.

 

I personally use the mobs in one setup as a part of a super customized overhaul but it'd conflict with near everything and I just don't want to share since it's likely buggier than Daggerfall with my attempts of playing with scripting and modifying the game's quests.

Can't save time I really don't have (or am wasting on other things), and its only going to get worse as it gets closer to this out-of-country conference I have to go to in a few wks. Have to prep too and bug people.
 
As for new mobs, once I get bored of cooking experiments and lounging at the pool I'll probably take a look at some mobs that caught my eye (along with I was working on some L4D and RE stuff). Nope, must rig those doom and deadspace critters. Must.

I have taken a quick look at the mod inside the CS, as you said there might be a few creatures that could need a little fix, but other than that, I must confess they mostly look very well, congrats for such a very good work. Congrats for the new release, I like very much the new additions (that pinky truly looks like a dwemer abomination).

 

I was wondering if maybe for the next release you could try to cut off the mouth tentacles of the centaur, as they keep clipping a lot, just a thought.

Nah, I can just rig the tentacles to the head I think, then they won't move though, but it should get rid of the clipping issues. Or maybe I could just rig the ends and see what happens (probably stretchy).

 

Good new name for Pinky (dwemer abomination), think I forgot to throw in the teeth or I screwed up on the transparency again (prob needs higher threshold prob set it to 20 ), also a little over indentation on the left when he prepares to attack.

 

Have access to a little-loved copy of Skyrim that I already pulled resources from. Just don't feel 'real' dragons would fit into Oblivion and the other creatures just don't catch my eye. Now, the overhauls had a ton of things that caught my eye but think I'll be rigging more undead-type creatures for the next release.

Yeah most of the models of Skymomod have been taken from the Facepunch forums, if you can port them directly from there it will be very nice, as many of them have been already edited and fixed to fit with the TES atmosphere.

 

Same opinion about dragons, they don´t really fit for Oblivion. I would personally appreciate very much if, even in the long term, you could try to port some of the draugs (as they are undead) and maybe in the long future some of the other creatures like giants and witches.

 

I will keep one eye open for links of more undead and scary creatures.

 

EDIT: maybe the alien necromorph could be rigged as a troll?

 

Also don´t know if they were already included in the Dead Space 3 pack you already downloaded but, here you got the Super Slasher,  the lurker, the exploder and the swarm infector

 

Maybe a retextured like Pinky for this Shockwave to be a "Dwemer Titan" or "Dwemer Hunter Killer"?

Sorry for double post, but don´t know how I have found a public drive with many of the creature models from the game Clive Barker´s Jericho, if you are looking for new undead monsters this might interest you:

Big thanks for posting that mesh converter, passed by a ton of interesting darkspawn models from Dragon age just because they were .mesh. Now to figure out what's a good skeleton for that broodmother. (Or that leech queen from RE, nice models but will need to think a bit before I rig).

After this scary undead release I can't decide between a real-life (consequences, nah already have headcrab zombies) creatures like lions, hippos, snakes, vultures and the like or more silly joke monsters for mania like the mutant tomato going in this round.

 

I would like you to keep adding more monsters and creepy things instead of normal animals, as there are already mods that adds a huge amount of real life creatures (like WAC for example with lions, rhinos, mosses and many more new animals). I think new monsters would be more appreciated, and also is a more needed addition for Oblivion.

I'll still be making scary critters, have more models now than I can rig in several months. I could always do a mix as well, like dwemerized doom3 type mobs (what to call a 'cyberdemon' dwemer daedra?), silly things, and more nightmare fuel undeadish demons with a vulture or hippo thrown in.

 

I didn't like the art style of some of the wac critters, which was why I was pondering adding newer mobs. I always thought hippos were scary anyway.

That sounds very good, a mix that fit with your tastes will be the best option for sure. I was just letting you know about WAC to prevent you from expending your time in animals or creatures that have been already done and might fit with your tastes, so you could use your time in the best way.

 

About the D3 Cyberdemon I would call it "Dwemer Exterminator" or "Dwemer Corrupted Exterminator" if you are going to include it in the Daedra faction.

 

I also like the idea of adding totally new animals that can attract player´s attention like hippos :)

@ emo877  More scary in the way they don't seem very dangerous but can mess you up. Yes, I'll still be adding typical horror things as I find and rig them and your post makes a good point. :P

Best update so far, love all the new additions, they look scary as hell. I give this update a 10 out of 10 :lol:

 

About that Dwemer Shockwave (love it), as you are searching for sounds, maybe this ones might be of your interest to add them to him in next versions:

The sound of a transformer transforming (this could fit for Aware sound, if you heard it, that means you are pretty fu##ed).
