Further testing with this AND Hormones (I do realize this isn't the Hormones thread) on a Lunari character. 

I turned off color changing in Hormones. That really seems to be the only hiccup. Oh and I turned down the breast max size. So it looks like I can leave Hormones in the mix just without color changing. I'm ok with that.

 

So now we're back to the milk farm thing. I did get one bottle of milk. Had to stop playing to feed an orphan kitten, but I've established that I *CAN* produce milk. Now I just have to figure out if it's really supposed to take this long to get one bottle. Is this designed to be a slow process? Has anyone figured out a time schedule to optimize milk production?

It seemed to me that the interval between milkings was around 6 game hours....  (cows will show "Can I help with your milk" dialog option when they are ready and it doesn't show up between for me). I was trying to narrow it down to a more precise time last time I played but that's as close as I've gotten so far. And that means that it takes a minimum of 30 hours gametime to produce 5 bottles.

I really want to turn some followers into milk cows by making them equip the milk harness. Any idea if this will even be put into the mod?

See, I have Paradise Valley and Underground Bath House. It has RESIDENTS! hehehhe.... I would LOVE to be able to make a couple of them cows and be able to milk them. Is there a milking animation? I'm still struggling in my head with having to have sex with a cow to milk it.

It is supposed to take a while. Even with the stimulation of a harness, how quickly do you imagine a bottle should be filled?

That said, the mod probably needs to be balanced for effect and playability.

I am open to suggestions.

Maybe ifI can think of a good excuse for a quest to build your own harness.

A quest could start at the current milk farm.

They'll teach you how to make a harness if you collect milk for them from various places. (or something)

Go to Falkreath (for example) to retrieve some of Falkreath's Finest. They give you a harness and you go to Falkreath where you engage a prospective cow in conversation. 

 

** you already have the "Hello" dialogue. Add a part that's something like...

 

"We're good friends, right?"

"Yes"

"Would you help me with this experiment?"

"Sure, that's what friends are for!"

 

They try on the harness.

 

Newly enlisted cow: "OK, it fits. Now what?"

 

Player: "You need to wear it until you produce 5 bottles of milk. Then I can take it off."

 

Newly enlisted cow: "How long will that take?"

 

** OK so I'm not a mod author so I guess degree of difficulty comes in here. Difficulty of quest and/or programming it. If you want to keep it relatively simple you just make it a timed thing. NOT dependant on the cow having sex because you can leave and do other things while she's filling bottles. Let's say she gets a bottle every 4 hours...

 

Player: "I'll come back tomorrow and see how you did."

 

Now you do this in a couple of places. Maybe you enlist the dark elf follower in whiterun, or if there's an orc female in some friendly town somewhere, so you're getting FLAVORS as was already mentioned in the original quest.  

 

Meanwhile, I'm going on a hunt for you. I KNOW I've seen a milking animation. Maybe more than one. I'll see if I can hunt them down so you can have a look and see if they'd be useful.

I would not be particularly fond of that development. Second, somebody said something about a Dwemer milking machine. Are there any plans to use that alongside/as an alternative to the harnesses? That would be something I'd really like to see.

 

Really looking forward to where the mod seems to be going!

When you're talking to Leonara about her cows and she thanks you for helping, she says they need to "...get as much flavors as we can."

Should be "... as many flavors as we can."

Lol. With an idea as fundamentally silly as the milking "cows," there doesn't really need to be an excuse, does there? Just, "Why am I humiliating myself for this woman when I could steal her idea and make my own farm!" is excuse enough.

I can put the harness on a resident of Paradise Valley, but of course it doesn't DO anything. I did find that I can unlock it with a Chastity Key. I tried the restraint key and it didn't work. Then it dawned on me to try the chastity key and VOILA! I was able to unlock it and remove it. 

 

The "sex for milk" thing I'm still not sure of. Yeah I know.... it's SEXlab, but..... can you play a SPECIFIC animation? When you're basically milking yourSELF, there's an animation from DD where you absent mindedly fondle yourself. It's one of the "horny animations". You get into this slightly bent over position and you're squeezing your breast! That kinda looks more like milking to me.

 

Being milked by someone else I'm not too sure of. When you milk Leonara's cows or when she milks you.... I'm not sure there's an existing animation that would work for that yet. I love the Dwemer milking machine but I don't think it was ever developed beyond just a model. 

 

HOWEVER.... on the current cow harness, the suction cups are transparent. If you were hooked up to a pump (whether you can actually see the pump or not) if the character was given a slight position bump so the boobs bounced AND the transparent cups on the cow harness went opaque white for a second, it would give the ILLUSION of pumping milk out of the breast. 

 

Just a thought. Probably not as elegant as the Dwemer Milking Machine but also probably much easier to implement

Good point about the animation.

 

I limited the animations to anything tagged with 'breast' but it is true maybe that one solo animation would be better for now.

I just uncheck the Stories and Hormones mods to play Aluna. Once I feel comfortable with these I'll just use Aluna-Stories as Aluna

Can you explain a little more about how the milk production is supposed to work? I'm not criticizing how long it takes, just trying to see if I've got any bugs or issues.

I went into Devious Devices events and polling and tried taking the number all the way down for things that weren't relevant (plugs, horny events, chafing, etc) and moved the sliders for milk drip, cow bra event, and suction cup vibrate all the way up. I can get the milk drip message quite often, the "aching from a rush of milk" is very sporadic, and it can take me literally several in-game DAYS to get the actual bottle creation message. For one bottle.

 

Also... after completing the harness quest (yes I did actually complete it once), I never get the dialogue to "please make me a cow again".

 

In one of my saves I've given Leonara over 50 bottles of the Divine milk from her cows and TWENTY bottles produced by me and neither of the 2 quests shows as completed.

Is there a way to check what stage those quests are on and is there a way to "bump" them to the next stage ? Or are they just incomplete at this time?

The quests are not marked as complete at this time. They are just open ended for now.

 

Milk production events are linked to arousal. 

 

On Sex Start - milk production happens if both of these are true.

1) you are wearing a harness (or if you have produced a bottle of milk and not returned it yet). Look for a global variable for Milk produced (help _SLS_Milk in the console).

2) a random number between 0 and 100 is lower than your current arousal. So if your arousal is now, milk production will be more difficult.

 

This increments a milkLevel variable. You can track it in the logs under 'SexLab Stories: Milk Level: '

 

On Orgasm - after milkLevel reaches 10, you receive a bottle of milk and milk level goes back to 0.

 

If you have the fetish of the Steed stone, producing milk like a cow adds to your arousal.

If you do not have that fetish, producing milk reduces your arousal, which should make it harder to produce milk immediately after (you need to work for it).

 

If you want to get into the code, everything is under the SLS_DDi_PlayerREF.psc file.

Better yet...

 

With an arousal of 100 (locked at 100 in SL Arousal) AND with the Steed Fetish, if I'm wearing a harness then that random number should be fine and it should increment MilkLevel so it should never take me more than 10 sexual encounters to get a bottle of milk. 

 

If that's the case then something is amiss as it takes me WAAaaay longer than that. Is there a way to check MilkLevel without exiting the game to look at the logs?
