[Req/idea] Skyrim Global Relationship Manager

I've tried just about every single Sexlab plugin. There's a lot of plugins that do a lot of different things. Sexlab Aroused, Sexlab Attraction, Lovers Comfort, Spouses Enhanced, Sexlab Submit. All these mods lightly touch on what I would love for there to be in Skyrim; building relationships with the citizens of Skyrim through dialog, sex, intimacy, etc... Also all those mods do something slightly different than one another and some aren't compatible with other. What if use all the features that are used in them and combine them, then expand on their foundations. Something that makes NPC not just revert back their normal dialog after you've just spent a lot of time together, or just had sex. Now you have a connection with that NPC, and because of that they way they act towards you is now completely different. I think the closest thing I think to this is WIP Real Courtship but i'm not even sure that is aiming for what I think.

 

What I'm thinking goes something like this:

 

1. Sexlab Aroused, Sexlab Attraction, how you're dressed (SIM Clothing Evaluation?) and maybe your reputation with other surrounding NPCs and well as your sexual, would ultimately determine an NPCs initial disposition of you. It would range from 0 (complete stranger who knows nothing about you) to 100 (the NPC is in love with you).

 

2. From there, depending on what you talk to the NPC about, you may or may not get you on their good side. This will either increase or decrease your disposition with that NPC, a feature in Sexlab Submit. Maybe the NPC likes you bringing them things, maybe doing things for them, maybe simply just talking to them or being around them. Now you have a basic friendship/relationship.

 

3. All NPCs would have needs/wants/desires. NPCs that you have a relationship, or just a previous encouter with, sees you're wearing something they like and they'll comment on it if they like or dislike it. I was thinking about something maybe in an MCM menu where you could tell the mod your character's proportions, because there's simply way too many body mods about there and I wouldn't think there would be an accurate way to script that. This would allow for something like an NPC who have a reasonable relationship with to comment on your character's body.

 

4. Ideally this mod would cover public nudity. I love Nude Female Cover Animations and the script that was made for it. It combines very well with Humorous Naked Comments. However they don't bring the game and reputation changing effects I would love to see. Once naked everyone around you is looking at you in either shock, amusement, or disgust and everyone would be making comments of some kind and you wouldn't be able to start a normal conversation while naked. This would also greatly impact your relationships with everyone around you and those that saw you naked would comment on it from time to time.

 

5. Spouses Enhanced does a great job with Spouses, but I would love to see something similar for your basic follower. Maybe make it mandatory for a possible marriage mate to be a follower for a significant amount of time. And over that time, with Attraction and global reputation/relationship manager, the NPC may or may not want to marry you.

 

Let me know what you all think. Is it feasible, realistic? Something to add or something you'd like to see?

Its probably really expensive in terms of script delay.

 

To do this properly would probably take a team of modders working full time for months. Basically you are asking that every NPC get a ton of new dialogue options depending on this relationship stat, both in terms of ways of changing the stat and on how the NPC changes in response to these changes. This will also kill all the voiced stuff unless you get a team of voice actors to voice all the new lines and redo all the vanilla dialogue to keep the voices consistent. And that still leaves open the question what about NPCs added by other mods?

 

You could greatly reduce the scope by having all NPCs use the same set of responses. But then that kills all the individuality in the NPCs, which seems to be part of the complaint about all the mods listed. It also makes it much harder to come up with new dialogue to reflect the change in status, you need dialogue options generic enough that anyone could reasonably be imagined saying them. If it gets that bland in the end, I don't feel that the mod will be worth the effort.

This is a good idea but a big undertaking and I think the scope needs to be resize to a more manageable level.

First I think we can put aside voices, it is pretty difficult to get voice talent even though many mods are getting them. As much as that would add to the game, there's just way too many issues, voice consistencies, sheer number of lines, sheer number of different voices.

 

Reputation, there's still not a reputation mod yet, I am not sure if the game can track reputation in general across different holds/town/region/in the wilderness similar to how bounties are track, or it has to be a per NPC base.

Also it needs to be more than just a + or - system of rather they like you or not. It needs to track the PC's past actions or so. City Guards already checks varies PC status such as skill level, equipment, faction, etc. All citizen notice state of undress, disease, vampirism, etc. I wonder if that can be expand to something more Sexlab related such as past sexual encounters, number of encounters, what type of encounters.

 

I don't think there's any mod that uses Sim Clothing Evaluation proper, which is something Aroused, Attraction and Approach can linked to, or maybe integrate somehow

Wow, that's awesome. Hopefully you'll allow some beta testing once you get to a build you're happy with.

I didn't think about voiced actors. I personally don't think it's necessary. Having an NPC go from one voice to another really breaks immersion, at least for me. 

 

As for SIM, I'm not sure if that's even in continued development. It is a shame that no one has bothered to incorporate it's frame work into any existing mods. Would be very cool to see it being used for mods that control NPC interaction.
