NVSE NX extender error message

Hey Perps!

Getting an error message when starting up my FNV, concerning NVSE extender verification. Everything is properly installed [quintuple checked]

A)- Using NVSE 4.2.beta2 and NX 11 = no error message

B)- Using NVSE 4.2.beta2 and NX 12b2 =

Error message at game start-     " Sexout requires extender v11 and you have extender v0"      [something like that]

C)- Kept NVSE 4.2.beta2, removed NX 12b2, reinstalled NX 11 = no error message

Hmmm...maybe solved?

D)- Using NVSE 4.2.beta 3 and NX 12b2 = no error message

[have not started game, only initial char. creation, which is where the message shows up during loading]

Did not try NVSE 4.2.beta3 and NX 11 [redundant extender now?]

My query is about the error message, as it seems all is good with my current NVSE install of 4.2.beta3 and NX 12b2.

What's up with that?

Opinions? Concerns? Problem?

THX

Edit- don't know why I got a smiley for my capital B and right bracket, so....

NVSE 4b3 / NX12 is the most up-to-date setup.

Try initiating sex with something simple like SexoutSex to see if the anims are working correctly. I think NX11 isn't even available for download anymore and most likely isn't supported. It should work in conjunction with NVSE 3b2, since that was the "last-gen" setup. NVSE 4b3 is probably (?) NX backwards compatible, so you should be good to go with that setup too, although there are a couple of plugins that require NVSE 4b3 / NX12.

As stated in first post, installing NVSE 4.2.beta3 and NX 12b2 seems to have eliminated the error message showing up.

I always try to stay current and there are a couple of mods I want to use that require the above [like you said] so in they go.

Still have not started to play as I'm trying to FNVEdit everything, so I don't know about the animations yet, will post again if there's any problems.

I just wanted to be sure about what I was seeing concerning this "error message". [was thinking they might be "old/outdated' when I saw the newer versions]

Again THX, especially for the fast reply.

What are you trying to do? Modifying sexout is not a good idea unless you really know what you're doing.

Uh, Ooops

I'm Still Learning. Doing a fresh install of selected mods, been having some problems.

Didn't mean to imply I'm modifying/editing without knowing or going ahead blindly trying to eliminate any/all conflicts I have. That would be stupid on my part. Again.

[Yes I have before, Ugh! It hurt. Bad!]

What I'm trying to do is stabilize/merge my FNV for some smooth playthroughs, but it's a tough learning curve for me [For right now]

I'm a hell of a lot better at it than I was 6 months ago, which really isn't that much better. Nerf...

That said, my problem with NVSE and Extenders has been rectified, now it's about resolving conflicts and certain issues I'm having. [i still don't know the programs that well].

I refer any and all to another of my posts which is about auto merge patching and resolving conflicts in mods which are NOT part of the created auto-merge patch.

See "FNVEdit auto-merge confusion" under "Fallout Technical Support" page, please.

I would really appreciate your advices and opinions. Hell! You can even berate me for being ignorant about what I'm trying to do.

I haven't merged any packages / mods or anything and I can have a good stable game play with sexout mods and my preferred mods as well. Most if any issues that occur are related to the individual mods, some conflicts (rarely) and finally issues with external mods that the author hasn't used or tested with. The final one might be considered and tested by the author if enough people use that in combination with their mods. If you have skill you could help with that part by giving them the info the need to help resolve or figure out where to start minimizing their time resolving those issues. (provided that they op to resolve those issues)

However I am becoming interested in merging the "beauty mods" such as lings and macko mods etc into one that I like instead of selecting the individual ones. That I hear is safe. Merging many armor and weaopon mods may also be safe. Merging Sexout mods is an absolute NO NO. The mods in the series expect to see the other mods.

For merging ressources mods, try the merge script that can be found on Skyrim Nexus. It should automate the bulk of the work and it will not modify the original files.
