Guest Posted May 24, 2011 Posted May 24, 2011 English is my native language, I was born in America but my parents were born in Ukraine. My family is Ukrainian and even though I was surrounded by Ukrainian speakers, I didn't learn the language for a long while. I also took French in school and I can still speak some.
sora3 Posted May 24, 2011 Posted May 24, 2011 I can speak Cantonese, English and as well as some Japanese without any difficulty. The problem is trying to switch what I'm thinking in English into Chinese or Japanese.
dagmara Posted May 24, 2011 Posted May 24, 2011 French is my mother tongue. Translating to French from English is part of my day-to-day work. However, I must admit French is the only language I speak correctly. Â
Kain82 Posted May 27, 2011 Posted May 27, 2011 I am of Puerto Rican descent and was raised to speak both English and Spanish, so I guess they're both my native language.
Roachboy Posted May 31, 2011 Posted May 31, 2011 Non-native speaker, but having spent a year in the USA, I believe my English is decent ... wish I could speak Japanese, though.

Cezul Posted June 4, 2011 Posted June 4, 2011 Native English speaker here. I'm American with Scandinavian and Scottish ancestry. Â I can speak a little French and German, Old Norse(Runic/ElderFuthark/DaleCarlian), and Old English (Futhorc).

LilDevil Posted June 21, 2011 Posted June 21, 2011 English is my native language, though I learned it along with Spanish. I can also read a bit of Japanese and Russian, though this was done so I can find mods for Oblivion and read comics or mangas.
Guest Posted June 21, 2011 Posted June 21, 2011 English is not my native language, but I learned it in school since I was 11 or so. My native language is German, I also used to speak French in school but forgot almost everything. I haven't visited the classes for a while but currently I'm learning Danish and Norwegian at my university.

Dreamer102 Posted June 22, 2011 Posted June 22, 2011 I wish it wasn't.... Maybe I'd be more interesting and have someplace else in this world to go to or not be who I am now.

Ryanhabs Posted June 30, 2011 Posted June 30, 2011 English is my native language, but I have always wanted to learn others. I tried Japanese due to my interest in anime / manga. Thats not going so well. I can say a couple words, can't write anything and can understand numbers, colors, and if someone is calling me grandmother.... :'( still trying to learn though!
Dreamer102 Posted June 30, 2011 Posted June 30, 2011 I applaud you for still trying to learn Japanese. I haven't done anything with myself. I barely would have passed high school spanish if it wasn't for the pocket digital translator my father got me.
Toucanyoucan Posted June 30, 2011 Posted June 30, 2011 UK english here, learned german and a bit of french at school not used much now though
