Hey guys, well, today I broke my knee. Like, the knee cap is crunched and my leg bone is pretty fucked up. I was playing some American Football with my buddies, and of course im high as a kite, and I kinda was running in mud with socks, and slipped, twisted le knee, and well, now im on my ass in my bed with a broken ass leg. Anyone else have bad experiences with Football? #MtnDew #Doritos #OpticGaming #Weed #ACS #{(ACS)} #Fucksteveharvey #OFWGKTA #FuckBillOreilly

Thanks, and yeah, American football should be called Handball, or Throwball and tackle the motherfucker, or something. But we Americans are stubborn, and who gives a fuck, cause hey, 'Murica.

Yeah, I've been all fucked up playing football. I was pretty good in school (inside linebacker). But I got blocked at the knees once and my right knee got hyperextended to where my lower leg formed a 90* angle with my upper leg. :o Yeah, that hurt like a son of a bitch. Still hurts most of the time actually (and it's been 25 years).

As for the name, you have to remember that what we Americans call soccer (and the rest of the world call football) was still pretty new way back when and that started to evolve into rugby. Then rugby evolved in two different directions as well, leaving rugby and American football behind. But in the end it seems American football was the winner in many ways. The players get paid better anyway. :P

^ Now that is what I like to see at people. Not getting butthurt on someone opinion about something related to his country.

Seems to me the world is rather tensioned these days.

The same way can be said about our european football "soccer". Like how they fake injuries; one touch and they are on the ground like pussies.  :dodgy:  Or trying to pass time so they can win cheaply.

And this is coming from a soccer fan.

I used to play football for school on a high school level although I was never that good, I played because I was a fan of the sport. The worst injury I suffered was a concussion. The concussion wasn't even from a glorious play. One of my friends thought it would be funny to hit me from the back while I was going for a fumble recovery in practice. It wasn't even in a real game. The people who saw me get hit told me I flew about 5 yards and hit the turf hard. Afterwards, I got up a little groggy and had a small headache. I told my offensive coach (I played WR/TE, although I was relegated to special teams as a PR, Kickoff coverage mainly) my head hurted and I sat out the rest of practice. On top of that, it was on my birthday. I got home with terrible headache and rested in my bed for the day.

Fuck football, indeed, though for different reasons.  That sport caused me too many problems throughout my childhood.  I couldn't play my video games when I wanted to because the only TV in my house was shared, causing me to get kicked off by my parents to watch football games/news.  In high school, most of the football players had a terrible condescending attitude.  Not to mention, my group members in my college class talk about it instead of helping me with the assignment.  #1stworldproblemrantsdgsdfgsdfgsdfg

Yeah, football players can be dicks, I was friends with everyone in my highschool though (Probably because I grew Purp on the east coast, lol) so I never got the bad end of their attitude. And yeah, my classmates spent their time talking about Football, whist I studied plants :3 #firstworldproblems420yolo

My coaches throughout high school wanted me to play football, at the time I was 6' 4" 235lbs I told them to go fly a kite, My best friend "in a different school" played till the Championship game Sr. Year during which he got hit from the front and back at the same time, shattered 3 vertebrae. (The team went on to win the game and brought him the winning ball in the hospital) He loved the game but could never play again so yeah it's pretty much "Fuck Football". I never really liked the game to begin with but my family was friends with his family so we went to most of his games. I was into lifting.

Actually the proper "American" Term would be Pig-Skin. That's old school terminology.

Word to the wise, Ruski. If it's muddy, you probably should consider some foot wear. I think there is a reason players wear cleats. Just saying. lol  :P Moral of the story, High+Mud+Football = Broke Leg. In any case, I hope you recover well.

I never will understand the American interest in violence in their sports.  (Then of course, there's the Aussies and their rugby...)  I've seen combat veterans (numerous times) compare combat to American football.  It's absolutely sick to my thought process.  "Hey, go get yourself messed up for life for the single day glory of this institution!!!"  No, thank you.

Yes, I played sports.  Football wasn't one of them.

I played football when I was a kid. Got a concussion and a broken jaw. Never liked the game. Later, when I got older, I took up fencing and some assorted martial arts. Never competed in the martial arts. I was a good swordsman though. When I was 19, I got mixed up with some pals who joined a professional wrestling promotion. That was fun. No injuries from that, but learning how to take falls ended up saving my life a year later when I had an accident at work, falling 30ft. I messed up my back pretty badly, but I survived.

Sports are really nothing more than cheap replacements for what our ancestors used to spend their time doing, mostly war activities and hunting parties. We don't have tribal wars anymore and we generally don't form hunting parties that go on long, dangerous excursions. So instead we satisfy that natural urge with team sports that mimic the comraderie that military and hunting party activities provide and sometimes even try to mimic the potential dangers to one's self.

Pretty simple really. We just haven't evolved past having those primal urges and I hope we never do. If we do then we're as good as done as a species since these behaviors are natural survival behaviors.

I used to play football back in grade school until I broke a rib during recess. After that I said fuck that sport... until high school when gym class forced flag football. Granted, it didn't offer much in the way of injury, but there was still the potential.

They hated me, but I didn't exactly try to get in the middle of anything. Really, I just kinda went to the side and let the others do whatever. Because fuck that sport and potentially more bone breaking.

Fuck football. Not because of anything to do with the sport, but because they have the nerve to hijack the name and rename the real football to socker
